Conditions of Sale
1. The stock will be sold in the order in which they appear in the catalogue
and the highest bidder on each lot on the fall of the hammer will be
declared the purchaser. If any dispute shall arise between two or more
bidders then the lot in dispute will be put up again and resold, or the
purchaser may be declared by the auctioneers.
2. The pedigree and description of the lots are believed to be correct, but
are not intended as a warranty and therefore shall be taken with all faults
and errors of description.
3. All animals are at the risk of vendor before sale and the purchaser after
the sale. The auctioneer accepts no responsibility for damage or injury
caused to the animal in the sales yard or in its precinct thereof.
4. The service dates, while believed to be correct, cannot however be
guaranteed.
5. All lots will be sold in euro. Purchaser will be charged a fee of 5% of sale
price.
6. Purchasers shall, if and when required, give their names and address to
the auctioneers and shall if required, pay to the auctioneers the purchase
money for each lot at the fall of the hammer, or so soon thereafter as the
auctioneers may require.
7. Purchaser paying by cheque must be prepared, if required, to produce
banker’s reference.
8. No lots shall be removed from the sale premises until a written delivery
order has been given by or on behalf of the auctioneers.
9. Each lot shall, at the purchasers expense, be removed from the sale
premises within a reasonable time after the close of the day’s sale.
10. All statement in the catalogue or made by the auctioneer at the time
of sale relating to the animal are believed to be correct. No sale shall
be invalidated by reason of any defect of faults in any of the animals by
reason of any of the animals being incorrectly described in the catalogue,
or by the Auctioneer in the ring, and no compensation shall be paid in
respect of any faults or errors of description.

The Foundry Flock
In 2020 The Foundry Flock is celebrating 21 years breeding Texel Sheep. In the early
years we showed a lot and got RDS Champion, Tullamore Show Champion Tullamore
Reserve Champion.We had Champion at other Shows such as Kilkenny,Bannow
-Rathangan,Enniscorthy ,Clonmel and Gorey.We have never lost the desire to produce
sheep that are easily fleshed, fast growing and active.The commercial farmer is our
biggest and best customer.We are very interested in performance recording and scrapie
resistance.
All our sheep are parentage verified so you get what you buy.

Chessy & Nilands Flocks
The Chessy flock was established in 1976 with four ewes from the department of
agriculture. In the fourty four years since very few females were purchased. The few
that were purchased were carefully selected including one from the Groughfoot flock in
Scotland who produced the 2010 All Ireland Champion who in turn produced the 2011 All
Ireland Champion. We are scrapie monitored so we can only purchase from someone else
in the scheme.
By selecting the best sires available we produced 6 Premier sale male champions, 7 reserve
champions, 3 Premier sale female champions, 2 reserve champions, 2 R.D.S. champions, 3
reserve champions, 3 Tullamore champions,2 reserves, Western Texel Club champions in
‘14, ‘15, ‘16, ‘17 and ‘18, champion flock twice and reserve 4 times.
The most satisfying aspect of sheep breeding is to see what you bred doing well for their
new owners. PNI 0816 All Ireland Champion 2009 sold to Proctors Farms for €10,000 has
become a legend of the breed in Britain. Her progeny have swept all before them in the
show ring at the Royal Highland, Royal Welsh, Great Yorkshire and many more shows. Her
Grandsons have bred rams to 65,000gns. Another ewe sold to John Kellys Bothar Bui flock
produced the All Ireland Champion the next year. Many more females sold have helped
establish many new flocks all over the country. Finally I would like to wish all our purchasers
the best of luck with their new stock.
Health Status
The Nilands and Chessy flocks are scrapie monitored, all ewes are
on the Heptavac P system and have been vaccinated with enzovax
and toxovax. Scanning results will be available on the day.
Service Sires
Isle Cyclone is a son of the top sire Allanfauld am the man (24,000gns Lanark 2017) and his
dam bred the 2016 Blessington Champion Clara Vegas who sold for 6,500gns. Cyclone is
much admired by all who see him for his great carcase, size, correctness and his alert head.
He is also a double 5 star ram.
Strathbogie Boss was purchased in Lanark 2017 for 7200gns, by Mullan Armani out of a
Strathbogie Untouchable ewe. Boss has bred well for all of his five owners with his first 20
sons averaging over 1000gns. A 5 star ram.
Mullan Blow Your Mind was purchased in Lanark 2018 for 1300gns, a son of Knap Alligator
out of a Glenside Willie Winkie ewe. Dam is full sister to 42,000gns Mullan Armani and was
herself sold for 5000gns in Lanark. A five star ram.
Nilands White Knight is a son of Knock Ursus, he was our best lamb in 2015. Due to
an injury before Blessington he was retained for our own use. White Knight was shown
successfully in 2017 winning 1st prize aged ram at the West Texel Club Championships and
2nd prize at the National Championships. White Knight is one of the highest rated rams
on the Sheep Ireland index, his tremendous carcass and growth rate are coming through
his sons who are breeding mainly E and U grades for the Qualeutex scheme. A 5 star ram.

Annakisha Flock
The Annakisha Flock was established in 2001. In 2004 we purchased ewes from the
Claybury flock in England, which have had a marked influence on the flock. These ewes
have been responsible for our major successes over the years. Most notably Supreme
and Interbreed Champion at the All Ireland 2019. Reserve Female Champion All Ireland
2010 and 2012, Reserve Supreme Champion All Ireland 2011 and 1st Prize Aged Ewe All
Ireland 2013 and 2015, 1st prize ram lamb and reserve male champion 2014, 2016 and
champion junior ewe lamb 2018. Champion at Premier Sale 2010, Reserve Champion
Premier Sale 2011 and 2014 and Champion Group of Three Premier Sale 2013 and
2014. Supreme Female Champion Premier Show and Sale 2017 and 2019 both sired by
Claybury Warrior. The flock has also enjoyed championship success at numerous shows
around the country, including National Livestock Show Tullamore 2012 and 2013 and
reserve champion 2014, 2016, 2017 and 2019. Champion Shearling Ram 2017 and 2019.
We also had Supreme Champion at the South West Championships 2018 and 2019.
The Annakisha Flock was awarded the show flock of the year for 2016, 2017, 2019 and
Reserve 2018.
We are very pleased with this year’s consignment. It was great to see a shearling ewe
from the Annakisha flock sold in Blessington last year, going on to breed a lamb at this
year’s Premier, selling for 3,200.
All our ewes are on the Heptavac-P system.
All ewes are vaccinated with toxovax and enzovax.
All ewes are dosed for fluke and worms.

Ryan Texels
The Ryan family started breeding Texels in 1987 the 3 flocks Graigues, Rotsee and Lawn have been
performance recording initially in the LMI Scheme and currently with Sheep Ireland, Flor says “ the
the demand for these figures is growing year on year”. The Ryan trio take great pride in hearing
how their stock progress for other farmers both commercial and pedigree.
One of the recent highlights of Ryan Texels performing well for other flocks was when the top price
ewe FRI 042801402551 sold for (€4,200) at the Irish Premier Sale in 2017, bought by the renowned
Hexel flock in the UK. Her first son, “ Hexel Born to be Wild” sold in 2018 at Lanark for £8,000stg in
a 3 way split with Usk Vale, Haddo and Hexel retaining a third. The first 5 sons sold by Hexel Born
to be Wild in 2019 from the Usk Vale flock averaged 20,000gns with a top of 35,000gns.The trend
has continued this year in 2020 with another 2 of her son’s selling for the Hexel Flock at 65,000gns
and 14,000gns.
At the Premier Sale annually our pens are always among the top averages. In 2019 & 2020 Ryan
Texels also topped Sheep Ireland Lamb Plus Sale.
Over the years we have used many great sires including Cush Comanche, Dutch Halley’s Comet,
Garrolagh Iggy Pop and Baileys One and Only in recent years 4 more exceptional sires have earned
their place on this list Hillcrest Yeovil, Foundry Achilles, Derrylahan Big Balls and Kilclammon
Branston these 4 rams sired our top shearlings this year at the Premier and Sheep Ireland sales
and it’s from these 4 sires we have selected 14 Inlamb Shearling Ewes for the Blessington All Stars
Sale on Saturday December 12th. These 14 ewes are all 5 Star and are scanned carrying 27 lambs.
Health Status
All our ewes are in the Enzovax,Toxovax and Heptavac P vaccination programme. Our flocks are
also in the Scrapie Monitoring Scheme and all our ewes are eligible for export on sale day.

Service Sires.
Foundry Cruising. Cruising was generously loaned to us this year by Alex Clarke of Alepat
Texels. Cruising was purchased at last year’s Premier Sale and selected for his length, confirmation
and power. There are 4 ewes in the sale carrying 8 lambs to Cruising - one of the longest Texels we
have used in recent years.
Ballybur Cody. Cody is an outstanding well made long son of Derrylahan Big Balls with all the
stars and he was purchased at this year’s Premier Sale, he is a son of a 9 year old ewe from the
best breeding line in the Ballybur flock. We are looking forward to the Cody progeny with much
anticipation in 2021.There are 3 ewes in the sale carrying 6 lambs to Cody.
Rotsee Dutchman. A retained homebred son of Derrylahan Big Balls and out of a nine year old
daughter (Saphire) of Dutch Halley’s Comet. Halley’s Comet needs no introduction having sired
many champions for us in the 90’s. Saphire is heading into her 10th year breeding in the Rotsee
flock and is as fit as a 3 year old. There are 3 ewes in the sale carrying 7 lambs to Rotsee Dutchman.
Foundry Dustin. Dustin was purchased at this year’s Premier Sale, selected for his power, tight
wool and confirmation. There are 3 ewes in the sale inlamb to Dustin.

Emlach Flock
The Emlach Flock was established in 2005. The foundation ewes were purchased from the Chessy,
Foundry, Ballybrooney and Oberstown flocks. Since then top quality ewes have been purchased
privately from renowned British flocks including Claybury, Forkins, Cherryvale and Garngour In
recent years, with the help of embryo transfer work, we have taken the flock from strength to strength
resulting in great successes in the show ring including All-Ireland Hogget Ewe 2011, All-Ireland Open
Ram and Ewe Lamb 2012, All-Ireland Junior Ram Lamb 2013, 2nd place All Ireland Junior Ram Lamb
2015, Reserve Male Champion at the National Championships 2017 and 1st prize in Open Ram lamb
at the South West Championships in Charleville 2018.
2019 was our most successful year to date!! Blessington Premier Sale Champion- €2600.Second prize
in the Lamb Plus Class-€2600.First Prize in Group of Three Ram Lambs. Despite the challenges that
this unprecedented year has brought 2020 was again another great year for the Emlach Flock at the
Premier Sale! Our Deveronvale Aftershock Ewe Lamb out of our Top breeding ewe-PFI15080 topped
the Ewe Lamb section, selling for €2000.We have a Knap Arthur Daley Hogget ewe from this same
line for sale this year. Emlach Derrick stood 4th in the Open Ram Class at the Premier and went on
to sell for €3800 to John Foster of the Springhill Flock in Co.Tyrone. There are two well-bred Hogget
ewes from this line for sale also. Emlach Demophon sold for €1800.Demophon’s Dam is half-sister to
two ewes at the sale. Two of better Hogget Ewes are in-lamb to the 100K Sportsmans Batman! Well
worth a look! The rest of the ewes are in-lamb to the 15K Knock Yardsman & Forkins Dollar.
All our ewes are on the Heptavac–P system, are vaccinated with
Toxovax and Enzovax and are dosed for Fluke and Worm.

Sportsmans Batman Sold for 100K.Sired by the 40K Garngour Alabama and out of 145K Knap
Vicious Sid Dam.
Knock Yardsman: Yardsman is the sire of the 40k Garngour Alabama. He has also sired Shearling
Rams to 29K-Garngour Awesome.
Donnelly Bavardage: Purchased privately. Dam came in the belly of Knock’s top ewe at the
Select Seven sale 2014. Bavardage is full brother to the 2018 Blessington Champion, the 2017
All-Ireland Female Champion and Reserve Overall All-Ireland Champion. In 2018, another ET sister
stood first in the Senior Ewe Lamb Class at the All-Ireland with two ET brothers taking first and
second at the 2019 National Championships. The first prize Junior Ram Lamb was placed Reserve
Male Champion. Full brothers have sold for 1800, 2100 and 2500. Bavardage has super colours with
great length, size and muscle.
Derrylahan You’re the Man: By the renowned Knock Trident. Third as a Shearling ram at
the 2017.Has grown into a huge sheep with length, character and a great top! Has been Overall
Champion at numerous local shows 2017 & 2018.
Strathbogie Ya Belter: Sold at Lanark for 35K.Stood Second at the Highland show the same
year. His Dam is by Glenside Razzle Dazzle and she was a full sister of the 24K Smokey Blue.
Knap Arthur Daley: His Sire was the 60K Clinterty Yuga Kahn. His Dam and full sisters were Knap
Show Ewes in 2018.
Forkins Dollar: Grandson of the 100K Sportsmans Batman. He is by Procters Cocktail 16K and
out of a Knock Yazoo ewe. 17th March born twin. Great size, skin and colours.

Donnelly Flock
The Donnelly Flock was established with the purchase of ewes from Tysaxon and Chessy
flocks. Select ewes have been added to the flock since from the Ballybrooney & Derrylahan
flocks and from the Forkins & Cherryvale flocks.
The flock has improved steadily with the help of embryo work in recent years, 2016 was
a highlight winning 1st & 2nd Prize Senior Ewe Lambs & 1st Prize Junior Ewe Lamb at the
All Irelands in Dundalk, with the 1st Prize Senior Ewe Lamb going on to be Reserve Overall
Champion. In 2017 our three entries for the All Irelands all went on to win their respective
classes, with one claiming All Ireland Female Champion and Reserve Overall Champion. In
2018 our two entries stood 1st and 4th in the Senior ewe lamb class making it three years
in a row to win this class.
In 2019 our three entries for the All Irelands achieved two 1st Prizes in the Junior Ram Lamb
& Ewe Lamb Classes, with the ram lamb going onto be Reserve Overall Male Champion.
Our third entry stood 3rd in a strong Senior Ewe Lamb Class.
In the sales ring, 2017 was the highlight winning Reserve Blessington Champion with
Donnelly Alonso selling for €4800, Alonso went on to breed last year’s Blessington Reserve
Champion selling for €2400, with another son selling for €3000. Other rams from the flock
sold for €1450 & €2020 in 2017, with females selling to €2400 in 2017. In 2018 ram lambs
sold to top €1700 & €1800 with females selling to €1600 & €1800 also in 2018.
In 2019 ram lambs sold in Blessington for €1800, €2000 & €2100. In Carrick Second Main
Sale one of our entries stood Overall Champion selling for €2000, this along with Ballinrobe
Sale Overall Champion and Athenry Reserve Overall Champion. We offer ET sisters of the
above-mentioned rams in this year’s sale.

Knock Yazoo A proven breeder, siring 2017 Blessington Reserve Champion, 2017 All
Ireland Female Champion, 2018 Blessington Supreme Champion, with 7 sons averaging
€2428 at Blessington Premier Sales selling to a top of €6200. He has also bred sons to
£5,500gns in 2017 and daughters to £7,500gns in 2018 for Alastair Gaults Forkins flock
Northern Ireland.
Garngour Bladerunner Purchased in Lanark 2018 for £5,500gns, has bred exceptionally
well, siring lambs to €1800 and €2000 twice, plus 3rd Prize All Ireland Senior Ewe Lamb
2019.
Donnelly Del Boy Retained 4 star son of £3800 Milnbank Cantona and off the €5000
Bailey Ewe Lamb of 2018. He is a big, long growthy lamb with a very strong backend with
great colours and wool.
Silverhill Douglas An exciting €6000 Blessington 2020 buy, sired by the £130,000gns
Sportsmans A Star, his dam is ET sister to the €15,000 Silverhill Bushtucker with another
ET sister selling for €3000. A big growthy March lamb with lots of spark, combined with a
very good carcass.

and a €1 share in the above named Society. I hereby to abide by the Rules of the Society,

Applications need to be received by Society Secretary prior to 31st December in the year of
application, so flocks can be established prior to lambs being born and also for the breeder
to be eligible for participation in the following year’s Society Sales

Terms of Membership
It is recommended that intending members contact the Society Secretary
prior to purchasing foundation stock.
€65 Entrance Fee & €50 Annual Membership Fee = €115
(Other fees may be payable, contact Society Secretary)
Details of Ewes & Rams owned must be submitted with application; otherwise it will not be
processed. It is each applicant’s responsibility to supply all information as required to be
considered for membership of the Society.
