Hobby Courses An Introduction to Interior Design This course will provide participants with an opportunity to acquire an understanding of basic principles of interior design. It will help to inspire your natural creativity and is delivered in a relaxed interactive manner. It introduces the elements of design, demonstrating that there is more to interior design than just DIY! You will gain a base knowledge to start planning a room of your own. The aim of this course is to reduce stress and increase wellbeing through mindfulness-based training. This awareness gives us an opportunity to work more skillfully with thoughts, emotions and external situations. This course is for those who are interesting in developing an understanding of the mind, how it influences our lives and how we can play a more active role in this process. As the emphasis is on bringing mindfulness into everyday life, there will be some home practice in the form of short mindfulness exercises, which is an important aspect of the course. Understanding Dementia and Approaches to Care
This course will enhance your existing knowledge about dementia and support further
development of your skills and competencies. It will support you to develop improved levels of
care and support for persons living with dementia and their families.
The course objectives are;
1. To gain knowledge of Dementia, its prevalence and main subsets.
2. To explore the Person Centred Care (PCC) approach and how it relates to the person living with
dementia and promote quality care.
3. To gain an understanding of the lived experiences of people with dementia (including their
families) and, how it impacts on activities of daily living.
4. To develop awareness of the importance of effective communication skills in dementia care.

Digital Marketing QQI Level 5- Skills to Advance*
This course will provide you with up-to-date knowledge on digital marketing and social media
platforms and the latest trends in using online to market your company, product or service. You will
use a range of digital tools and platforms to develop practical skills in designing and delivering digital
marketing campaigns. You will explore a number of case studies and examples of best practice across
several industries. This course is delivered by an experienced Marketing and Brand Manager. You will
learn how to select and use appropriate monitoring tools for evaluation and identify whether you are
getting value for your money and time. Additional guest lectures on topics and tools relevant to digital
and social media marketing will be included as part of the course. On successful completion you will
receive a QQI Level 5 Certificate in Digital Marketing.
