A partnership between the Tahoe Chamber and the North Lake Tahoe Resort Association/Chamber of Commerce produced a basin-wide event that included over 35 of Tahoe’s top employers looking to hire full-time, part-time, and seasonal employees. Celebrating 10 Years of Tastings Photo credit: Photo credit: Lauren McMillin Brian Walker Lake Tahoe’s famous farm-to-fork festival returns September 14th to celebrate the Sierra Nevada’s characteristic food, wine, spirits, and brews. Set on a late summer day in Bijou Community Park, Sample the Sierra is the perfect pairing of flavor, culture, and community. Attendees can expect an afternoon filled with scrumptious samples, artisan shopping, local live music, and the famous Sierra Chef Challenge. For its 10th anniversary, the celebration will extend far beyond the one-day festival. The entire month of September will now feature special events, promotions, products, and experiences offered by festival vendors throughout the region. The month-long festivity will include diverse offerings such as tasting tours for ticket holders, pop-up dinners, discounts from local artisans, and community events. Housing Needs Assessment Underway Last summer, Tahoe Chamber was proud to lead a group of local leaders on a TREK to learn how several Colorado mountain Phase 2 of this project will be a Housing Action Plan designed communities have worked to successfully address their critical need to produce an implementable set of specific housing strategies, for resident and employee housing.
