Registration INFORMATION REGISTRATION POLICY Please complete the registration and waiver forms on PAGES 16 - 18 or REGISTER ONLINE at apm.activecommunities.com/ abingtonparksandrec. You will be considered registered for a program only after the proper forms and fees are received by the Parks and Recreation Department before the stated deadline. You will not receive a confirmation unless otherwise noted. Registrations without accompanying fees will NOT be accepted. Please note that there are some programs which require REGISTRATION IN PERSON. If you mail a registration in for an “in person” program, the registration will be entered at the end of the work day. Non-residents may have a delayed registration start date and/or a higher registration fee. PAYMENT FOR PROGRAM Payment is due at the time of registration. You may pay by Visa, Master Card, Discover, American Express, branded debit card, REGISTRATION INFORMATION cash, or check. Checks should be made payable to “ABINGTON TOWNSHIP”. All returned checks will be assessed a fee of $25.00. If it is a Briar Bush Nature Center program (pages 6 - 8), please make checks payable to: “FRIENDS OF BRIAR BUSH”. Separate checks are encouraged. List all participants in the family on one form but send a separate check for each program. The Department will make every effort to make the decision as early as possible. If there is any question about the status of a program, please call our office at 215-576-5213 between 8:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. REFUND POLICY A 20% service fee will be charged for ALL refund requests. Requests must be made at least five (5) business days before a program or thirty (30) days before a trip is scheduled to begin. There will be no service fee if the refund amount is applied to a future program within the calendar year or the program is cancelled by the Township. Refunds will not be issued once the program begins, or within the date range specified above. ALL refunds will be returned by check. REGISTER EARLY FOR PROGRAMS Nothing stops a program in its tracks faster than everyone waiting until the last minute to register. Many of our programs need a minimum number of participants to run so a program may be canceled if there are not enough registrants. A minimum number of participants must be reached at least one week prior to the program beginning. PHOTO POLICY On occasion, we may take photos or video of individuals enrolled in programs or using parks facilities. Please be aware that these images are for Township use and may be used in future promotional materials. PROGRAMS Me & My Parent Tennis Clinic Adult introductory tennis Come out & introduce your little one to tennis and help Tennis is truly a lifetime sport. Whether you have never had them develop a love for this lifetime sport. ARCAT began over 50 years ago and is run by a staff of volunteers under the sponsorship of the Abington Township Parks and Recreation. ADULT ( Age 55+) Members have the opportunity to enjoy trips and tours designed with seniors in mind.
