ART DINNER and PITCH In the concept of Art Dinner we connect two places in two countries with Internet and Skype. To arrange an Art Dinner, you must send representatives between the connected places/nodes to create more collaboration. We eat and drink the same, connected by screens and communicating over Skype. The dining table continues through the digital screen to the other node. During the dinners we share perfor- mance, films and artist talks between the two places. In these events, we often do Pitches, 5 minute project, 15 images presentations which shown on both sides. Afterwards, all participants will give feedback to the pitcher. Today we have done eight Pitches between two countries. “Art Along The Latitude” 15 nov Härnösand https://youtu.be/ysmzElm-JO8
ART DINNERS To interact between countries, we use the Internet to arrange Art dinners, Art Along The Latitudes, conference, seminars and short project presentations “Pitch”. The aim of these activities is to present and create art and in- ternational projects, collaborations and work opportunities with cultural projects in countries along the 62 and 63 latitude. The activities gather artists, filmmakers, dancers, photographers, actors and musicians for international collaborations with culture projects and work opportunities. Along the years that North Cultitude 6263 have existed, we have by or activities and network create a number of projects. Many projects are still ongoing and others are under construc- tion. In our construction and development of the network, we got a lot of positive response, which clearly indicated the need for the network and the activities. We are now in the second wave of networking and our activities have been developed to include seminars, conferences and workshops on cooperation along the latitudes.

The political aspect of these issues was in focus as well as how KRO and KLYS respond- ed to these questions. The result was to continue the dialogue with the municipality of Härnösand and KKV with the purpose of making better opportunities for the artists in the region to practice their profession.

HUNGER COMPLETED PROJECT Norway - Sweden - Finland The project HUNGER is produced through collaboration between craft artists from Sweden, Finland and Norway in collaboration with the organization Norske Kunsthåndverkere Midt- Norge. Our aim is to develop and present works of contemporary craft from our region as carriers of values and strategies for creativity. Through co-working with our Nordic partners, we seek to strengthen our knowledge and develop a deeper understanding of things that are made by hand. We ask: What happens when craft artists meet, artists whose knowledge has been gained in different places and at different times? And what happens when that knowledge is refined and transformed? To achieve our aim, we have organized three theme-based workshops: food craft, reed craft, and craft- ing with “blåleir” (London clay). These are held in Östersund in Sweden, Vaasa in Finland and Trondheim in Norway during 2017 and 2018. During these workshops experimented with different techniques and exchange thoughts and knowledge. The three workshops focused on specific material-related crafts. At all the workshops the same 9 professional artists from Finland, Sweden and Norway attended. The first workshop was held at Lat.63 art arena at Frösön in Östersund, Sweden in early September 2017. Participants worked with sponge paint, food materials, etc. Next workshop was in spring 2018 at Malakta Art Center, Malax Finland and the last workshop was in Trondheim later 2018 followed by an exhibition in okt 2018. Film project ONGOING PROJECT Sweden - Greenland Sassuma Arnaa-She is the mother of the sea and marine animals in the Inuit mythology, other names are Sedna, Arnaqquassaaq, Nerivik. Her energy is erotic and giving but in the same time horrifying -She is the ruler of the Underworld. If we respect her she will provide us with food, clothes This film project is based on the fact that the consequences of climate change are most visible in the north and also the fact that the indigenous people living in these areas has another worldview and therefor another perspective on the purpose and the role of human beings. We believe that the path that has taken us to this situation has real problems to find solutions that can help us. Therefor we think that by listening to other ways of perceiving the world and by that, humanity’s role in the creation, we might find other answers… We are going to follow both Elisabeth Heilman Blind/ Greenlandic mask dancer from Sisimiut, in her travels back to Greenland and meeting with traditional storytellers, maskdancers and shamans. And in northern Sweden we are going to follow her Saami husband Lars Henrik Blind and his work as a reindeer herder, yoiksinger and a great storyteller.
