Welcome to the 51st Round Top Music Festival ROUND TOP FESTIVAL INSTITUTE The sole endeavor of The James Dick Foundation for the Performing Arts For the first time in nearly three years, we're back! All of us here at Festival Hill are pleased you could join us for this exciting new season of the 2022 Round Top Music Festival! We are back in full after a two-year absence for a glorious summer of musical performances brought to us by the brightest and best young artists who have been awarded scholarships to our Summer Festival. This tradition draws incredibly talented faculty and conductors from the major orchestras, symphonies and conservatories around the world – all within this amazing Festival Concert Hall at Festival Hill – and it has achieved worldwide acclaim! This is only possible because of the kind generosity in each of your tickets purchased, underwriting of concerts and charitable donations throughout the year. We also encourage business and educational groups to make Festival Hill a destination for conferences and retreats, as well as weddings and groups for tours and dining. We are so grateful for your support. I have said this many times over these last fifty years, and it seems even more significant today, that I believe the arts give us the deepest and most meaningful forms of human communication. They provide the common bond of all mankind and perform the miracle of making all cultures and people one family, here in Fayette County and the world. I know Round Top Festival Institute will carry out this ideal for the next fifty years with its mission to provide arts for all while positively impacting the education and mental health of the broader community that it serves, and that you will join us in the celebration of music that gloriously defines our purpose and promises us all an equally bright future! I hope you will attend performances throughout the 51st Festival Season and invite you to come back often for more concerts, ballet, gardens, collections of rare books and artifacts, forums on poetry, theatre, and herbal topics, and other exciting events throughout the year. Funding Opportunities A NNUA L GI V ING Annual gifts are the bedrock of Round Top Festival Institute. They are the Institute’s largest source of revenue. When combined with earned income from ticket sales, facility rentals, and endowment interest, annual giving provides the funding needed to sustain this internationally recognized cultural center. Annual giving supports concerts, events, and forums throughout the year. All young artists studying and performing at the Institute receive scholarships. Some are provided through endowment, others through foundation grants, and the balance through unrestricted annual gifts. ENDOW MENT GIV ING A ND BEQUESTS Permanently endowed scholarships, faculty chairs and named funds are an exceptional way to help attract internationally renowned faculty that are core to our educational programs and provide full tuition to every young artist who attends our acclaimed Festival. Endowed Conductor Chairs begin at $100,000, Endowed Faculty Chairs begin at $75,000 and Endowed Scholarships begin at $50,000. Endowed positions may be funded over several years. For information regarding Endowed Chairs and Scholarships, please send email to giving@festivalhill.org or call the Institute office.
