Blue Girl Rosa ‘Korgi’ Hybrid Tea In the realm of lavender roses this girl is actually closer to the unattainable goal of the "true blue" rose than most others. Her clean, pale color comes as close as it gets. Praised for its signature bloom color, these large, silvery lavender-blue five inch flowers with a nice fruity fragrance rebloom throughout the season. Long stems also make it perfect for cutting. An excellent specimen for cooler weather. Recipient of the Rome Gold Medal. More vigorous than most of its kind. Peace Hybrid Tea The world's most famous and beloved rose, in brilliant yellow and pink was first introduced to the U.S. by Star® Roses and Plants over 60 years ago. Developed by Meilland International on the eve of World War II, a clipping of the rose made its way from France to the Conard-Pyle Co. for safekeeping during the war. Coincidentally, the AARS named Peace its only winner for 1946 on the same day Japan surrendered, effectively ending the war. More popular today than when it was first introduced. Voted into the Rose Hall of Fame by the World Federation of Rose Societies in 1976 and later as the Rose of the 20th Century. The Alnwick Rose® Ausgrab English Shrub Rose Pretty, rich pink, cup-shaped buds gradually open to broad, full-petalled, shallow cups. Boscobel Auscousin English Shrub Rose Red buds open to beautifully formed, upward-facing, coral-pink rosettes. Small petals of varying shades mingle to provide a most pleasing effect. The myrrh fragrance has delicious hints of hawthorn, elderflower, pear and almond. It forms an upright shrub. Charles II hid in an oak tree at Boscobel House during the English Civil War. Carding Mill® Auswest English Shrub Rose Large blooms in shades of pink, apricot and yellow are deeply cupped, overall, giving the impression of rich apricot. At the bud stage, when the petals are just starting to unfurl, the inside of the petals are a very rich, deep apricot as opposed to the paler, soft yellow undersides. When fully open the center of the flower is well filled with petals, their closeness giving the impression of a rich, apricot - pink. Around the center, the loose ring of petals curl in slightly and so show their pale apricot yellow undersides. It will quickly make a lovely, bushy, rounded shrub with quite straight stems, the many flowers nodding just slightly. There is a strong and beautiful myrrh fragrance. ‘Carding Mill’ is an excellent, vigorous, medium-sized shrub. Carding Mill is an extremely beautiful valley in the Long Mynd just to the west of the David Austin nursery in Shropshire. Enjoys warmer climates. Bred by David Austin. Charles Darwin Auspeet English Shrub Rose The flowers are very full and rounded at first, later opening up to shallow cups. They are yellow in color, tending almost towards mustard, and have a strong, delicious fragrance, varying between soft floral Tea and pure lemon. It makes a sturdy shrub with broad, spreading growth. Named after the naturalist who was born in Shropshire where our UK nursery is located. Darcey Bussell Ausdecorum English Shrub Rose Beautiful, deep crimson-pink rosettes with a delightful fruity fragrance. An exceptional variety which flowers freely and repeats well. Very healthy. Compact, bushy growth. Good red roses are never easy to breed, so we are particularly pleased to introduce ‘Darcey Bussell’, as we believe it is one of the best and most healthy red roses we have bred to date. Its beautiful flowers are produced freely and with excellent continuity. When young, their outer petals form a perfect ring around an inner cup; gradually opening out to form a perfect rosette. The color is a deep rich crimson-pink that takes on a tinge of mauve just before the petals drop. It has a pleasing, light-medium fruity fragrance with hints of green. It forms a compact shrub with attractive bushy growth. Darcey Bussell is the highly acclaimed ballerina. She was appointed principal at the Royal Ballet at the age of 20 and has danced in the title role of many ballets around the world. She has been honored with many awards, including the OBE in 1995. Emily Bronte Ausearnshaw English Shrub Rose An exceptionally beautiful rose; the distinctive blooms are very neat and rather flat. Each bloom is a lovely soft pink, with a subtle apricot hue, the smaller central petals deepening to rich apricot and surrounding a button eye, which unfurls to reveal deep-set stamens. The strong Tea fragrance becomes more Old Rose, with delicious hints of lemon and grapefruit. It forms a bushy shrub with strong, healthy, upright growth. The Brontë Society asked us to name this rose to celebrate the bicentenary of the birth of the novelist, Emily Brontë. Her much-loved novel, Wuthering Heights, was published in 1847, a year before her untimely death at the age of 30.It is a dark tale of passion and revenge, centered around the relationship between Cathy Earnshaw and Heathcliff. Lady of Shalott™ Ausnyson English Shrub Rose One of the hardiest and most reliable of the David Austin roses. Good for disease resistance and poor soil and will bloom with unusual continuity throughout the season. The young buds are a rich orange-red that open to form chalice-shaped striking apricot-yellow blooms filled with loosely arranged petals. Each petal has a salmon pink upper side, which contrasts beautifully with the attractive golden yellow reverse. The flowers have a pleasant, warm Tea fragrance, with hints of spiced apple and cloves.
