COURSES FACULTY DAY AND TIME LOCATION Tuesday, March 29th • Aromatherapy Creation Dorothy Procaccini Arts & Crafts Room 2:00pm Rather than stressing about giving something up for Lent this year, why not make something for yourself or others. The aroma alone is sure to bring a smile to your face. Balance & Stability Tori Gordon Saturdays • 11:00am Living Room Start off your day by releasing some endorphins and feeling good! We will do half an hour of exercise where we use exercise balls and bands to target different muscle groups. From your head to your toes every part of your body will be involved in this workout. We will be using a chair for this workout to increase our balance and stability. Tuesday & Thursday • Balance & Strength Dorothy Procaccini Living Room 1:00pm Are you finding it a little more difficult to bend down to put your shoes on? Is it getting increasingly harder to swing your arm around to put on your jacket? In this class we will work on your range of motion, strength and balance. This group will engage in safe effective exercises, specifically designed for seniors and people with limited mobility. Monday, February 22nd Benefits of Video Games Tori Gordon Media Room • 1:00pm Did you know that video games can be more than just fun? That’s right, there are some serious, proven health benefits to playing video games. Come and learn how they can benefit you and what video game you might like! Celebrating Easter Thursday, April 1st • Dorothy Procaccini Media Room Around The World 2:00pm One of the principal holidays, or feasts, of Christianity, Easter is the joyful end to the Lenten season of fasting and penitence. See how people around the world prepare for and celebrate Easter. Current Events Steve Lambert Mondays • 3:00pm Media Room Join Clover Blossom resident and retired Rochester City school district professor Steve Lambert as he leads an engaging open discussion about today's current events. The good and the bad, Steve covers all topics in today's media and news reports. Bring your topics and enjoy the good conversation.
COURSES FACULTY DAY AND TIME LOCATION Thursday, February 11th Decorative Wine Glasses Kerry Pallavicini Arts & Crafts Room • 11:00am Kerry has a knack for crafting and would love to share with you! Make your very own decorative wine glass for a holiday of your choosing. Get your creative juices flowing as you paint, glue, decorate clear wine glasses and watch them flourish before you. It would be a great gift for a special someone on Valentine's Day!! Monday, February 8th • Drawing Disney Basics Jannel Malave Arts & Crafts Room 2:00pm Do you love to draw & paint, but you could use some pointers? Join Jannel Malave in this engaging introductory art class. She will teach you the basics of how to draw fun characters including Minnie Mouse, Peter Pan and even Donald Duck. This class will allow you to use your imagination to draw whatever comes to mind. Monday, March 22nd • Dog Training Tricks Tori Gordon Media Room 1:00pm Training a dog takes lots of time and is a never ending job. But it is definitely worth it! Join Tori as she describes some methods she found helpful in training her year old pup, Tucker. During this class you will get to meet Tucker and witness the product of his training! Furry friends are welcome to attend as well! Equality Through Monday, April 26th • Lexi Rodriguez Media Room The Years 3:00pm Join Lexi as she teaches you about different topics of equality and how they affect our everyday lives in regards to the LGBTQ+ community! Learn how about preferred pronouns, terminology and how it has changed throughout the years. Monday, April 12th • French Music Tori Gordon Media Room 1:00pm The French language was created to sound beautiful, and their music is breathtaking. Come and hear some of their classics as well as current songs. Enjoy classical French music along with current pop music. Lyrics in both French and English will be provided.

Join us for thirty minutes of low impact video workouts, specifically designed for seniors. Maintain fitness and overall health and wellness. This class can be done seated or standing up to accommodate all ranges of motion! Tuesdays Staring in April Garden Club Rod Wasicsko Raised Garden Beds • 2:00pm Have a green thumb and miss tending to a garden? Join Rod every Tuesday starting in April to tend to our very own garden beds! Learn about different types of flowers and watch them grow before your eyes. Help Rod grow a variety of herbs that will be used in the kitchen and served to you in the dining room! Friday, February 19th • Hidden Secrets of NYC Kristy Rawson Media Room 2:00pm Learn about all of the hidden secrets sprinkled across the great island of Manhattan and it's neighboring boroughs. Find hidden restaurants and shops that only a true New Yorker would know. Learn about New York's history, historic buildings, and more in this interactive class about the hidden secrets of NYC! History of Saint Wednesday, March 17th Kristy Rawson Media Room Patrick's Day • 2:00pm Who was St. Patrick? Why does the world celebrate him? Learn about how St. Patrick became a symbol of celebrating across the world each year on March 17th. Find out how the Irish culture has changed on this day throughout history. There will be a fun treat for you to enjoy as you learn all about this festive day! Wednesday, May 19th • iPhone 101 Elvira Echols Conference Room 1:00pm Join Elvira as she teaches you basic tips and tricks for your smart phone. Learn how to use your iPhone to navigate on the internet, send text messages to your family as well as Face Timing. You will be a cellphone guru in no time! Wednesday, February Inspired Aging Dorothy Procaccini Media Room 17th • 2:00pm Learn more about inspirational celebrities and everyday people that are thriving in their retirement. You may be inclined to try a new hobby, pick up a new sport, or pursue a new volunteer initiative. Together we will learn about dozens of examples of people experimenting with new pursuits or revisiting former interests. Our goal is for you to leave this class with a list of new hobbies you can try with friends or on your own.
COURSES FACULTY DAY AND TIME LOCATION Thursday, April 15th • Joan of Ark Tyler Beyea Media Room 2:00pm Joan of Arc is one of the most well know medieval figures in history. Her story is relatively short and a lot of her history drives from what was written down from her trial. Most of her story was written down during events leading up to her death. She has been an important influence throughout history and people today are still trying to connect themselves with her. Join Tyler as she teaches you all about the life of Joan of Arc! Friday, April 28th • John D Rockefeller Kristy Rawson Media Room 2:00pm When people think of John D. Rockefeller they immediately think of the millionaire oil tycoon who founded Rockefeller Center in New York City. What people don’t realize though is that he was a simple man who worked his way up to being a major oil tycoon, while still being the simple man he started out to be before the millions. Not only was Rockefeller a smart business man, but he was also a man of charity. He gave to many different charities and foundations in his lifetime. Join Kristy as she teaches you about the life of John Rockefeller & all his accomplishments! Wednesday, March 31st Native American Art Tyler Beyea Media Rom • 2:00pm The art created by early explorers and Native Americans, represents what they felt and gives a glimpse into their culture. That can then be compared to art of Native Americans form later periods. This, combined with the cultural and historic information, could help us gain major insight in to that time period. Join Tyler to learn about these insights! Monday, May 17th • Nutrition Tori Gordon Media Room 1:00pm What is your diet lacking? Or getting too much of? Many of us don’t get all the nutrients we need, which can cause serious health issues. This class will break down the types of foods we need on a regular basis as well as the foods we should avoid. We will also learn about what key nutrients you may be missing in your diet.
COURSES FACULTY DAY AND TIME LOCATION Wednesday, January Online Shopping Dorothy Procaccini Media Room 27th • 2:00pm If you're not already well versed in shopping from the comfort of your own home, you don't want to miss this class. Dorothy shares how to easily shop for groceries, clothing, or specialty treats from your hometown. You can send someone a thoughtfully selected gift from anywhere in the world. Just about anything can be delivered to your door. We will walk through step by step instructions to help you navigate popular sites like Instacart, Amazon & Target. You'll be an online shopping guru in no time! Wednesday, May 5th • Pebble Art Jessie Graham Arts & Crafts Room 2:00pm Come craft your own pebble art work using what Mother Nature gave us. Pebbles, sticks, plants and more will be provided to create your own story or use one of the premade designs. Crafters of all degrees welcome! Wednesday, February Public Speaking Dan Spencer Media Room 24th • 2:00pm Would you like make new social connections , boost your confidence, build your critical thinking skills, and become more aware of how others perceive you? If so, please join fellow resident, Dan Spencer as he goes over the benefits of improving your communication skills. Thursday, May 6th • Spring Crafts Dorothy Procaccini Arts & Crafts Room 2:00pm Bring a touch of Spring to your home with a flower petal votive. These beautiful luminaries are easy to make with fabric flower petals and a glue gun. They also make great gifts. 2nd Tuesday of Month • Tracing Family Roots Deidre Wetelainen Media Room 2:00pm Do you want to learn more about your family history using Ancestry.com? In this course we will use the member edition of Ancestry.com to explore your family tree. As a group we will explore and discuss family history and build upon your personal knowledge to locate information about your family. Wednesday, April 21st • Travelogue: Thailand Stacey Smith Media Room 2:00pm Travel across Thailand with our Sales Director, Stacey, and her family. Come along for this virtual trip from the Northeastern region of Nong Khai located along the Mekong river and travel down to the coastal city of Pattaya. Through her photos you will explore the country, visit local markets, villages of rice fields and religious Buddhist Temples called Wat's.

Join Tori as she delves into describing the roles of some of the most important Greek deities, heroes, and monsters. The stories that revolve around them and explain how the world works are truly fascinating.
Faculty Biographies NAME OF INSTRUCTOR CLASS NAME Dan Spencer Public Speaking Clover Blossom resident Dan Spencer can often be heard sharing a joke or giving advice to fellow residents and staff members. It is hard to believe that Dan once had a fear of speaking in public. Early on in his career at Eastman Kodak Co. Dan enrolled in a Public Speaking course, which helped him overcome his shyness, advance in his professional career, and open his own business. Dan was a member of Toastmasters International, and SCORE (Service Corps of Retired Executives). In his spare time, Dan likes to listen to classical music, play the organ, billiards and chess. He keeps his life organized by spreadsheets on his computer. Deidre Wetelainen Family History Deidre recently joined the team at Clover Blossom as the Executive Director. Deidre brings 20 years of experience with her in from the hospitality industry. Spending most of her career working in hotels around the United States. Deidre grew up in Northern Ontario, Canada and took her oath of citizenship in 2017. Deidre and her family reside in Brighton. Dorothy Procaccini Online Shopping Dorothy Procaccini has been a part of the Clover Blossom Community Life Team for almost three years now! She made a career change when she discovered a passion for spending time with seniors when her father was living at a local senior facility, and the residents would flock to her and her children during their visits. Dorothy continues to work as a freelance Production Manager. She is also a Caregiver Advocate. In her spare time, she loves to travel with her husband and their three children, and spend time with family & friends. Elvira Echols iPhone 101 Elvira is the Business Office Manager for Clover Blossom. Born and raised in Southern California, Elvira and her husband made many moves before deciding to finally settle in Rochester and raise their family in 2005. Elvira has been in property management for more than 10 years. When she isn't glued to her computer, Elvira loves to spend time with her husband Don and daughter Joon, watching movies and playing board games.
NAME OF INSTRUCTOR CLASS NAME Jannel Malave Art Basics Jannel Malave has been working in the dining room at Clover Blossom for just about seven years! She just graduated from Monroe Community College this year, and will be moving onto The College at Brockport in the fall to earn a degree in Education. When Jannel isn't working or at school, she enjoys painting, shopping, hanging with friends and family. We hope you join Jannel for her first Watermark University class! Jessie Graham Pebble Art Jessie has been a part of the Clover Blossom team for just over a year now. When she is not manning the front desk, she enjoys dabbling with her various hobbies such as camping, hiking with her dog, riding dirt bikes, stand up paddle boarding, and photography. With Jessie’s love of hands on projects and being creative she started her very own online Etsy art store in 2015, and now she looks to share her interests and creativity with others! Kerry Pallavicini Decorative Wine Glasses Kerry has been at Clover Blossom for just about a year now. She grew up in South Florida where she enjoyed boating and scuba diving. She moved from Florida to New York in 2006. In her free time, you can find her with her three kids, traveling, reading a good book or watching movies. Make sure to join Kerry for her first WU class! Hidden Secrets of NYC, Travelogue: NYC, Kristy Rawson History of St. Patrick, John D. Rockefeller Kristy has been at Clover Blossom for 10 years, and has worn many hats over the years. But Community Life Director is by far her favorite!! After earning her Bachelors Degree in History from the College at Brockport, she realized that education was no longer her career path--working in Senior Living is! Kristy's favorite part of coming to work everyday is seeing the residents and being able to make them smile. When she's not working, you can find her spending time with friends & family, hanging with her husband & their two cats; Luna & Hagrid, binge watching Netflix or planning her next travel adventure! Lexi Rodriguez Equality Through The Years Lexi has worked at Clover Blossom for a year and a half now as one of our concierge. She loves coming to work each and every day and being able to make the residents smile. Lexi is a senior at Monroe Community College with a major in Technical Theater Production. In her free time you can find her hanging out with friends, family and her twin sister. She also loves playing video games and watching movies.
NAME OF INSTRUCTOR CLASS NAME Rodney Wasiscko Garden Club Rod is the Director of Dining Services here at Clover Blossom. He is happily married to his wife Kimberly and is a proud father of five children and two grandchildren. Rod has over 30 years of experience leading successful restaurants throughout the Rochester and Finger Lakes region. Rod’s passion is helping others and trying to make a positive difference every day. He is the oldest of three and is originally from Kinderhook, a small Dutch town south of Albany. Kinderhook is believed to be where the legend of Sleepy Hollow (Headless Horseman and Ichabod Crane) took place. Rod earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education and Vocal Performance from Ithaca College. It was while he was in college that he first gained experience in management and a passion for the hospitality industry. Rod loves sports and is an avid NY Yankee and NY Giant fan. During his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, singing, cooking, hiking and enjoying the beauty of the Finger Lakes region. Stacey Smith Travelogue: Thailand Stacey Smith is the Sales Director here at Clover Blossom. Stacey received her Bachelor's degree from SUNY Brockport majoring in Sociology with a minor in Criminal Justice. Stacey has spent her career in Sales/Account Management and Customer Service positions. She truly enjoys working with and helping people, seeing the residents smile makes it all worth it to her. Outside of work, Stacey enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, playing sports and board games with her spouse and daughters. Steve Lambert Current Events Steve Lambert is a resident at Clover Blossom. Born and raised in Boston, Steve is a WWII Veteran that spent 33 months and 19 days in Cushing Veteran Hospital recovering from his service. Steve is a retired Rochester City School District teacher and administrator. During his time, he taught mathematics from 7th grade arithmetic to Spherical Trig and Calculus at Madison High School and Adults at East Evening School. The Rochester City School District arranged for Steve to become an administrator in various capacities at Madison, East and Edison Tech. During his career Steve was the recipient of the Stromberg Carlson Fellowship, the General Motors Fellowship and a National Science Fellowship. Benefits of Video Games, French Music, Nutrition, Tori Gordon Understanding Greek Mythology, Yoga, Dog Training Tori Gordon is a Community Life Associate here at Clover Blossom. Primarily she is a devoted mother, to her beautiful daughter, Isabella. Having completed 5 semesters at MCC she is very close to getting her associates degree in both Business Administration and Liberal Arts. Eventually she aspires to go back to college and become a grade school teacher. Tori loves to learn, and teach others, her motto being that knowledge is power. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with animals, hiking, biking, skiing, reading, and yoga!
NAME OF INSTRUCTOR CLASS NAME Tyler Beyea Joan of Ark, Native American Art Tyler Beyea has been at Clover Blossom for just over a year now and loves his job as a server in the dining room. Tyler earned his Bachelor's Degree in History with a minor in Museum Studies from the College at Brockport in 2018. In his spare time you can find him playing video games and board games, watching movies and hanging out with friends. Tyler is very excited to teach his very first Watermark University class!!
