THE MOST VALUABLE INVESTMENT YOU WILL EVER MAKE University is your time to decide who you are and what you want to be – as an individual and as a professional. Do you want to follow the crowd and be the same as everyone else or do you want to stand out; be your own person; ready to take the lead and make a real difference in the world? At Bond University, we believe that this is not just about having a degree: it is about having the most forward-thinking, globally-focused degree and combining it with the underlying core skills that make employers sit up and take note. Skills like leadership, communication, team work and ethical values that we incorporate into every undergraduate degree through our only-at-Bond core skills subjects. And the added value of practical experience in your chosen field that you will get from internships, clinical placements and real-life projects through Beyond Bond. We will give you the opportunity to grow personally and professionally through overseas travel with student exchanges, study tours, international competitions, global conferences and volunteering programs. You will get to work on projects that you are passionate about, meet industry leaders, maybe start your own business and pitch it to investors. How can we deliver so much more than any other university? By offering a personalised learning environment based on one of the lowest student to teacher ratios in Australia, where you will be mentored in small classes by world-class academics. That one-on-one support carries right through to the career planning, preparation, and application process; ensuring you will stand out in the employment marketplace when you graduate and throughout your career. Ask any Bondy and they will tell you that coming to Bond University changed the course of their life. Professor Tim Brailsford Vice Chancellor and President

IN A CLASS OF YOUR OWN Most university degrees look a little like this: You’re sitting in a crowded lecture theatre, among a sea of strangers. There’s you, your lecturer…and over 100 fellow students. At Bond your university experience is personal, from day one. Your teachers don’t just know you by name, they know your dreams and ambitions. They probably know your coffee order too. It’s one of the reasons we’ve been ranked Australia’s leading university for student experience for the past 14 years, according to the Good Universities Guide.
YOU WON’T BE ‘JUST A NUMBER’ Our 10:1 student to teacher ratio and access to academics opens doors to industry placements, research projects, job opportunities and help whenever you need it. You will connect with students from all over the world, building a global network of lifelong friends and colleagues. GET A ONE YEAR HEADSTART Bond’s three-semesters-per-year schedule means you’ll finish your degree and be earning an income up to a year ahead of graduates from other universities. You’ll graduate sooner and better prepared for the workforce, getting a headstart on career promotions and progression. FEE-HELP is an interest free loan that helps eligible fee paying students pay their tuition fees. This accumulated debt is indexed annually by the Australian Taxation Office, according to the Consumer Price Index (CPI). BREWING BIG IDEAS TO MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE I was seven when I visited Africa for the first time. My experiences there, and in particular Kenya, have taught me the value of education; when someone manages to get a good education, they’re not only supporting themselves, but can make a big impact on society. I got involved in the Transformer program at Bond during my Business and Commerce degrees, attending workshops and information sessions that sparked my interest in entrepreneurship. Through Transformer’s industry connections, I met a social entrepreneur who was helping to set up solar electricity in Africa and it got me thinking: how could I make an impact on global issues? I was waiting for a coffee at Bond when the idea for Nice Coffee Co. was born. In Kiberia, Kenya, most people live on a single dollar a day – so imagine what you could do with the price of a coffee? The Transformer program, Bond Business Accelerator, an international internship and a global entrepreneurship competition hosted on campus have all helped me to turn Nice Coffee Co. from idea to reality. The leadership, ethical and critical thinking skills I’m learning in my degree ensure I’m a well rounded, future-focused graduate. My teachers have gone above and beyond to help along the way; my accounting and negotiation lecturers regularly give me business advice and I have access to professional legal advice whenever I need it. Through Nice Coffee Co., we use ethically sourced Kenyan coffee to supply beans-and-machine packages to offices and companies that want their dollars to make a difference. All profits go to St John’s Primary School in Kiberia teaching 450 students. Around 100 schools have been closed in Kenya, so it’s so important to keep this school open to ensure these kids get the education they deserve and are a step closer to breaking the cycle of poverty.
