Mission: To promote the financial stability and general well-being of Coast Guard people through grants, interest-free loans, financial counseling, and other resource programs. Vision: As a recognized leader in promoting financial stability for our clients, we will seek to empower the Coast Guard family in meeting future financial challenges. Through partnerships with other assistance providers, we will deliver innovative financial assistance in response to emerging Coast Guard family needs. We will ensure that we are ready, and always there as a critical safety net in times of financial need.
Who is eligible for assistance? • Active Duty • Retired Military • Reserve • Auxiliary • Civilian & NAF Employees • Public Health Service Officers and Chaplains serving with the Coast Guard • Surviving Family Members
• Basic Living Expenses Emergency and Disaster Relief • Car and Home Repair • Emergency Travel Expenses • Evacuation Assistance • Funeral Expenses • Loss of Funds • Medical & Dental Costs • Spoiled Food Replacement • Temporary Living Expenses
• Adoption Assistance • Baby Supplies • Closing Costs • First and Last Month’s Rent • Funeral Expenses Family Support Assistance • PCS Childcare • Respite Care • Service Animals and Pets • Special Needs Grants
Breast Milk Shipment OCONUS Rental Car Assistance (ORCA) • Grant of up to $750 per family, per calendar. • No-Interest Loan of up to $1,000 • No limit on the number of shipments. • Will not be issued prior to a member reporting • Trip must be longer than 72 hours. OCONUS or anytime for members INCONUS. • Applications must be submitted within 60 days of • Available to all active duty and civilian personnel return from deployment, business trip, PCS, or reporting to a new duty station assignment return to homeport. (CGMA Form 12) OCONUS. • Spouses traveling for business are also eligible.
