This is celebrated across the United States, Canada, Ireland, England, and the Netherlands. In honor of Black History Month we will learn about important role models and historic events in the history of the African diaspora. Thursdays- January 23, American Musical Bob Sagan February 20, March 19, Media Room Theater April 16 • 2:30pm Join Bob Sagan, locally and nationally recognized theater educator and aficionado, for an afternoon of Broadway Magic. Bob brings his passion and enthusiasm for the art form as he brings to life the sounds and excitement of the great American Musical in a lively animated and interactive 75 minute presentation. During the presentation you will have an opportunity to share your theater going experience and be made current on what is happening on the Great White Way today. Musical selections and video clips promise to enhance the presentation. If you are a lover of Broadway musicals, or just enjoy listening to music, you will not want to miss this fun filled and exciting presentation. Tuesday, April 28th • Art: 101 Jannel Malave Arts & Crafts Room 1:00pm Do you love to draw & paint, but you could use some pointers? Join Jannel Malave in this fun introductory art class. She will teach you the basics of how to draw and paint as well as some other fun art tips. Blue Zones: Live Longer Monday, January 27th • Karen Hogan Media Room & Healthier 1:30pm What are Blue Zones? Why do the people in Blue Zones live longer and healthier lives? How can we incorporate their practices into our own lives? All these questions will be answered in this talk with Executive Director, Karen Hogan. This show, provided by National Geographic uses games, illusions and experiments to illustrate how our brains manufacture reality and often play tricks on us!

The benefits of yoga are endless and this class is perfect for beginners. Yoga is simply a combination of different breathing patterns, postures, and meditation. Decorative Door Wreath Tuesday, April 7th • Kristy Rawson Arts & Crafts Room Making 2:00pm If first impressions are everything, what is the first thing someone sees when visiting a home? Your front door of course! Decorative door wreaths can be used for any occasion, holiday, or season. They brighten the look of your home before even stepping inside! Join Kristy in crafting your very own spring decorative door wreath while learning some techniques along the way including ruffling, floral placement, and use of color patterns.

Wednesday, April 22nd • Earth Day Tori Gordon Media Room 1:00 pm April 22nd is recognized globally as "Earth Day." All over the world events are held to demonstrate support for environmental protection. We will participate this year by learning tips and tricks on how we can help our environment here at Clover Blossom. Any change to protect our environment makes a difference in the world! Fireside Stories Tori Gordon Thursdays • 11:00am Cafe There's nothing quite like a good book to help pass the time during winter days. Relax, put your feet up and listen to some riveting short stories by renowned authors such as Edgar Allan Poe and Ernest Hemingway. There will be something for everyone as we will read a variety of genres including dramas, comedies, horror stories and more. Wednesday, April 29th • Flip Flop Welcome Signs Sue Crounse Arts & Crafts Room 2:30pm In this class, we will create colorful and fun decorative hangings for your front door. We will use flip flops in bright colors, sea shells, flowers, sunglasses and all things that remind us of the warm weather to come. Sign-up sheet will be in the binder by the Community Life Office along with a picture of what we will be making! Thursday, January 27th • French 101 Tori Gordon Media Room 2:00pm French is often considered to be one of the most romantic languages in the world. The whole language is constructed to flow well, making it perfect for poetry and music. Come and learn some essential words and phrases of this language. To conclude our class we will enjoy and sing along to beautiful French music!

Friday, March 27th • Hand Sewing Lexi Rodriguez Arts & Crafts Room 3:00pm Join Lexi for her first Watermark University class! She will teach you the basics of hand-sewing. You will learn how to do the five basic stitches; as well as how to sew buttons onto clothing. If there is enough time, she will also teach you how to hand stitch to make mini pillows. Wednesday, April 1st • History of April Fools Dorothy Procaccini Media Room 2:00pm April Fool's day is perhaps the only comedic holiday in existence. Its history is full of mystery and, as you might expect, laughs. We will look into just how long this tradition goes back and its possible origins. Thursday, March 19th • Hitler and Heroin Rosemary Irwin Media Room 3:00 PM Nazism and Fascism have defined our picture of what controlled Hitler’s Germany. But newly revealed documentation shows, the marching storm troopers were driven by more than simple ideology. The Nazi leadership’s vow to clean up the reputedly indulgent and pleasure-soaked culture of the Weimar Republic — constantly coded as “Jewish” — was infiltrated by the new exotic substances provided by German drug companies. Heroin. Meth-amphetamine. Cocaine. The age old problem of substance abuse permeated all of the Third Reich, sometimes being ordered upon the troops. Come hear and discuss the story of the Nazi Germany’s drug addiction. Thursday, February 7th & Intro to ASL Kristy Rawson Conference Room April 23rd • 2:30 PM We are very excited to offer this introductory American Sign Language class. This class will cover spelling the alphabet and common everyday use signs. This is an interactive learning experience that will involve practicing your skills with fellow classmates. These basic skills will get you started on the path to communication with the deaf and hard of hearing individuals.

Arrive with an idea and Shari will guide you. The instructor is equipped with all that is needed to make beautiful jewelry. And if you have any broken jewelry, Shari encourages your to bring that along and learn the many ways of recovering broken gems. From concept to completion, this class is an engaging creative endeavor that has wearable results. Kitchen Tours Rodney Wasicsko By Appointment • Kitchen Have you ever wanted to know what goes on behind the scenes in the kitchen? Join our Dining Services Director, Rod Wasiscko for a tour of the kitchen. You will get to see the kitchen in full swing while they are preparing your meals. Last Saturday of Month • Laughter Yoga Joellen Khul Media Room 3:30 PM Laughter Yoga is a unique concept based on the philosophy of "acting happiness"....tell your body what to do and your mind will follow. Laughter yoga embodies a series of simple, yet structured laughter and yoga breathing techniques, combined with simple stretching. No prior yoga experience is necessary; a willingness to laugh is all you need. At Laughter Yoga you will decrease stress, strengthen the immune system, and increase endorphin's, the "feel good" chemicals in the brain. 1st & 3rd Tuesday of Life and Music Larry Shearer Media Room Month • 10:30 AM Retired college professor, Larry Shearer has been presenting his music programs to Clover Blossom over the past 10 years. Focusing on music primarily from the 30's, 40's, & 50's, he features the recordings as well as radio, motion picture and television appearances of 20th century notables such as Frank Sinatra, Lena Horne, Artie Shaw, Patti Page, Glenn Miller, Judy Garland, and many more. Along with the music, each program is presented with biographical information, interesting stories, and historical and cultural information relating to these great entertainers from the past.
COURSES FACULTY DAY AND TIME LOCATION Looking Back at the Thursday, January 2nd • 1920s—a 100 Year Rosemary Irwin Media Room 3:00 PM Anniversary Perspective “History doesn’t repeat itself, but it does rhyme,” Mark Twain One hundred years ago, the Victorian age dissolved into the 1920s. World War I had ended and the idea of a modern reality changed employment, sexuality, literature, perceived necessities, and even our concept of crime. In this hour we look at how the 1920s changed America, transformed how we see ourselves, and made generations almost unrecognizable to each other. Is 2020 presenting us with an equally revolutionary transfiguration? Come discuss the lessons from the past and present in this interesting historical hour. Making Homemade Doug Pritchard TBD • TBD Break Room Apple Sauce Does the smell of apples and cinnamon make your mouth water? If so, please join fellow resident, Doug Pritchard as he teaches you how to make his homemade applesauce! A cup of warm applesauce is just what you need during the cold winter months! Man, Machine, or Both? Thursday, January 16th • Understanding Artificial Rosemary Irwin Media Room 3:00 PM Intelligence “The arrival of superhuman machine intelligence will be the biggest event in human history. The world’s great powers are finally waking up to this fact, and the world’s largest corporations have known it for some time,” Dr. Stuart Russell, professor of computer science at the University of California, Berkeley. In 1997, IBM’s Big Blue defeated the world’s greatest chess master using artificial intelligence. In 2017, Alpha Zero, the game-playing AI created by Deep Mind beat the world’s best chess-playing computer program, having taught itself how to play in under four hours. And now when you start to write a cell phone text, your phone might suggest how to finish a sentence for you. We can no longer separate ourselves from artificial intelligence, but for this hour we need to look at what is happening and how reality has shifted.
COURSES FACULTY DAY AND TIME LOCATION Man’s Best Friend or His Thursday, April 16th • Worst Enemy: Rosemary Irwin Media Room 3:00 PM the Dog and the Wolf What pet is more beloved than a dog or species more feared than the wolf? Dogs and wolves are so closely related that DNA analysis cannot distinguish a wolf from a dog or a wolfdog hybrid. It is assumed scientifically, all dog breeds started as varieties of wolves. For dogs, humans form their social group. In the United States, the wolf is now an endangered species, having been despised and hunted because of its attacks on livestock and fear of its destructive nature. In this hour we look a humanities shared history with the dog and wolf. Maximizing your living Tuesday, March 31st • Tori Gordon Media Room space 1:00pm It is hard moving from a house to a smaller apartment. And over time we tend to accrue more “stuff”. This class will go over the different ways you can maximize your space and stay organized. Natural Sound—Life’s Thursday, February 6th • Rosemary Irwin Media Room Music 3:00 PM “Earth is a solar powered juke box,” Gordon Hempton. Every place has a sound. What we call “silence” is the many layers of the echoes of what fills the world we navigate. The “quiet” we hear in a forest is the presence of time, undisturbed. But the modern world drowns out natural sound. Jarring sound can even be used as a military weapon. This hour we consider the science and history of sound and celebrate the power and beauty of “silence”-nature’s real voice. Network Trouble Tuesday, March 24th • Paul Rodriguez Media Room Shooting 2:00pm Join Maintenance Director, Paul as he shares all you need to know about troubleshooting network connection problems. Paul will review what to do and where to look when your cable isn't working properly or when your computer stops connecting to the internet! Skip the wait and fix the problems yourself with a course you will not want to miss! Tuesdays & Thursdays • Noodlesize Eileen Limburg Pool 9:30 AM Join Eileen as she walks through (or swims) basic water aerobic movements. Using pool noodles, Eileen starts her mornings in the pool and shares effective water exercise techniques with those in her class.

You've just woken up and are worried knowing today is shopping day and you need to get some milk. Worry no more! With apps like "Shipt" and "Instacart" you can now online shop for your groceries from any of your favorite stores and have them delivered to your door within the hour! Join Kristy as she walks through how to set up an account with one of the two popular delivery services. Find your supplies, and shop from the warmth of your couch this winter season! Thursday, April 9th • Origins of Easter Dorothy Procaccini Media Room 2:00pm Where did the bunnies come from? Easter has conflicting origin stories. One history originates from Judeo- Christian events and the other from Paganism. We are going to dive in to the tangled history of Easter and perhaps finally get an answer on how bunnies and eggs became part of the tradition. 1st & 3rd Saturday of Painting with Diana Diana Furman Arts & Crafts Room Month • 10:00 AM Do you love art? Whether you are a beginner or advanced student this course is for you. Designed to bring out the talents of all participants, painting with Diana will leave you with a smile on your face and a work of art in hand. Learning the use of color schemes while working on 5"7 canvas ensures every participant creates a masterpiece to love every time! Friday, April 24th • Park Explorers Club Kristy Rawson Off Site Travel 1:00pm Monroe County has over 25 parks where we can enjoy the splendors of the Genesee River, Irondequoit creek, Mendon Ponds, great views, birds, trees and wide open spaces. Get your Parks Passport and join us each month as we visit a new park, enjoy a snack, and broaden our experiences in the natural spaces of Monroe County. It is required that participants bring water, sunscreen/hat, layered clothing for comfort, shoes appropriate for outdoor walking and folding chairs if desired. Due to the cold winter months, this program will begin in April and go through the summer. Thursday, March 12th • Poetry 101 Tori Gordon Media Room 1:00pm Learn about the many different forms of poetry. In this class we will examine all types of poetry from beautiful to serious, sonnets, and haiukus. If you have any poetry of your own please bring it for the class to enjoy as well!

Spend 25 minutes warming your muscles and joints, getting the blood flowing, and preparing for the day. This class can be done seated or standing. Let the instructor know about any limitations or concerns you may have and the instructor will offer suggestions for and modified movements. And at the conclusion, you can stay for the following class, or get your day started. Tuesday, March 10 • Saint Patrick Dorothy Procaccini Media Room 2:00pm Saint Patrick, the "Apostle of Ireland" was a missionary in Ireland during the 5th century. He is regarded as the founder of Christianity in Ireland. We will cover the history of this infamous saint and how the holiday as we know it came to be. Science? Religion? Mom or Grandma? Thursday, March 5th • Rosemary Irwin Media Room The History of Being a 3:00 PM Parent in the US Whatever you were taught as a child or even passed on to your children, you were joining a long American history of constantly changing child rearing advice. From Cotton Mather to What to Expect When You’re Expecting, the confident, insistent rules and ideas keep evolving and experts rarely agree. Though each generation seems determined to re-invent parenthood, a journey through the history of parenting tells us much about who we once were and the ideas which from babyhood on makes us American. Mondays & Wednesdays Senior Strong Lee Welles Living Room • 10:00 AM Using bands and body weight, we will do movements to increase strength, flexibility, balance and body awareness in this program. This class can be done right after Rise & Shine, or as a stand- alone, 30-minute class. Service Pets: What You Carolyn DiMarsico TBD • TBD Media Room Should Know Service animals have been around for centuries, they are specifically trained animals used to assist people with disabilities, disorders and impairments. Because these animals are trained, working pets it is not always okay to approach and say hello. Join Marisa, Carolyn & her service Great Dane Ruckus as they walk us through the do's and don'ts to service animals!
COURSES FACULTY DAY AND TIME LOCATION Tuesday, March 10th • Superfood smoothies Tori Gordon Media Room 1:00pm You’ve probably heard the term, but exactly what are “Superfoods”? They’re foods considered to be especially beneficial for our health due to the nutrients and compounds they contain. Superfoods come in many forms, including protein from plant and animal sources, whole grains, vegetables, and fruits. Join Tori to hear all about the benefits of eating Superfoods, what Superfoods are available to us daily here at the Legacy, and make your own Superfood Smoothie! Tai Chi Raphaela McCormack Mondays • 1:30 PM Media Room Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese practice that dates back as far as four thousand years. Tai Chi incorporates slow gentle movements, combined with breathing patterns that move energy around the body, and results in more blood and oxygen to flow freely throughout the body. Tai Chi helps to calm the mind, reduce stress and anxiety, and improve sleep. With movements and stretches specifically designed to target the organs and improve their function, Tai Chi is a great exercise for anyone regardless of age or mobility. The Science of Thursday, February 20th Rosemary Irwin Media Room Mindfulness • 3:00 PM In the 1970s, psychology’s big question was: What makes human intelligence superior? Ellen Langer dared to ask: “Don’t people habitually do a lot of things which aren’t that smart?” This simple question changed psychology and Langer’s work on it made her an authority on the differences between mindfulness and mindlessness. Several of Langer’s experiments prove how the seemingly simple act of focusing on the present moment improves health, happiness, and longevity. Come discover how being mindful can transform your life. Travelogue: Wednesday, April 15th • Beth Ann Brancato Media Room Ethiopia 1:30pm Ethiopia is like nowhere else on the planet, a beautiful country blessed with a peerless history, fabulous wildlife and some of Africa's most soulful peoples. Ethiopia, the only African country to have escaped European colonialism, has retained much of its cultural identity and its story is one of Africa's most fascinating. It all begins with Lucy, one of our most celebrated ancient ancestors, moves effortlessly into the realm of ancient Aksum with its obelisks and echoes of the Queen of Sheba, and then takes on power and passion as Christianity, with mysterious echoes of Ancient Israel, takes center stage.

This mighty mountain range has 100 of the worlds highest mountains. Yak and mule cross glacial river beds while tiny villages dot the rugged landscape. A people whose daily lives are centered around prayer flags, mani stones and Buddha. Travelogue: Wednesday, March 18th Beth Ann Brancato Media Room Mongolia • 1:30pm Mongolia existed in a Soviet bubble for most of the 20th century. Now a generation beyond the fall of communism, Mongolia has emerged as a young democracy with a promising economy based on mining, agriculture and tourism. Spectacular countryside, vast steppes, rugged mountains, clear lakes and abundant wildlife and livestock. Some areas are so remote you could drive a full day and see almost no signs of human habitation. Mongolia's nomadic culture is famous as is the legacy of Ghengis Khan. Travelogue: Wednesday, February Beth Ann Brancato Media Room Uzbekistan 19th • 1:30pm The region’s cradle of culture for more than two millennia, Uzbekistan is the proud home to a spellbinding arsenal of architecture and ancient cities, all deeply infused with the bloody, fascinating history of the Silk Road. Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva with their fabulous mosques and mausoleums, while its more eccentric attractions, such as the fast disappearing Aral Sea, have been a draw for travelers for 2 millennium. Travelogue: Road Trip Tuesday, February 11th • Stacey Smith Media Room Across America 2:30pm Our sales associate, Stacey traveled 2,536 miles across America to experience one of Rolling Stone Magazine's, Top 3 Best Amphitheater's in America for live music. The amphitheater is located along the Columbia River. The venue has a breathtaking view and hosts an annual 3 day show over Labor Day weekend with Dave Matthews Band. Crossing 11 states in 5 days, making stops along the way in the windy city of Chicago, famous Mt. Rushmore and the mid-west. Join Stacey as she shares photos of her trip across America. Understanding Greek Thursday, April 9th • Tori Gordon Media Room Mythology 1:00pm Greek mythology is a vast and interesting subject. In this class we will focus on Homer and stories concerning the origin and nature of the world, lives and activities of deities, heroes, and mythological creatures.
COURSES FACULTY DAY AND TIME LOCATION Thursday, April 2nd • Understanding Light Rosemary Irwin Media Room 3:00 PM After Thomas Edison perfected his first light bulb, humanity pushed back the veil that would naturally shroud our lives each night. Now, we work long after the sun sinks below the horizon. Sports teams play games outside until the hours stretch into double digits. We have cities throughout the world which never sleep. And while we can barely see the stars above us, the earth is illuminated each evening with our artificial lights. In this hour, we consider light—natural and man-made and look seriously at the need for darkness. March date TBD • Wood Working Dennis Brunner Arts & Crafts Room 2:00-4:00pm Do you have a love/ interest/ curiosity for woodworking? Join Denny as he provides participants with the opportunity to build useful items from wood, using a variety of skills in assembling, sanding, drilling, nailing, gluing, staining and finishing. In January we will be making a matching pair of wine glasses with a walnut stem and base! There is a $5 Materials fee for this class!
Faculty Biographies NAME OF INSTRUCTOR CLASS NAME Beth Ann Brancato Travelogue Beth Brancato has been traveling since she was an AFS student in Greece as the age of 16. Since then, she has traveled to dozens of countries, has a small tour company and is starting her very own project called Before we disappear..connecting with cultures that have not yet embraced the Western world. She currently lives in Victor with her two pups, 11 chickens, and 2 goldfish and when Beth is not traveling, she’s sharing the world with people via photos, demonstrations, and cultural artifacts. Dennis (Denny) Brunner Wood Working Making useful and decorative wooden items for family and friends has been a passion for Denny since he was a young adult. Denny spent 36 years at General Motors as a Mechanical Engineer designing “car parts”, while woodworking in his spare time. After retiring in the fall of 2008, he was asked to demonstrate his woodworking skills at a local senior living center. Believing that a “hands-on” approach is better than just watching a demonstration, he developed a project for the participants to build under his supervision. That was the beginning of ArborArt Workshops. Since March of 2009, ArborArt has been conducting workshops for 4-H groups, schools, senior centers, scout troops, recreation departments and libraries on weekly, monthly or one-time bases. Each session has been created to give participants the opportunity to build useful items from wood, using a variety of skills in assembling, sanding, drilling, nailing, gluing, staining and finishing. Diana Furman Painting with Diana Diana has been sharing her creative talents with the Legacy at Clover Blossom over the past 15 years. Growing up, Diana had always expressed a love for art but was never able to fully explore her interests until she was able to retire. Now, with over twenty years of experience as an artist, Diana has perfected her own unique style of teaching, using common color schemes and specific size canvas to create beautiful works of art. Diana's favorite part about being an instructor is the look of amazement when her students see their final product, she believes everyone has talent and bringing that talent forth brings a happiness like no other. Computer Basics: 101, History of April Fools, Online Dorothy Procaccini Shopping, Origins of Easter, & Saint Patrick Dorothy Procaccini has been a part of the Clover Blossom team as Community Life Associate for two years now! She discovered a passion for spending time with seniors when her father was living at a local Senior Facility, and the residents would flock to her and her children during their visits. When she is not working she enjoys spending her free time with her husband and their three children, traveling, and volunteering for various charities.

In his free time, you can find Doug helping a neighbor, baking delicious baked goods, or rooting for the Buffalo Bills. Join him for his class on how to make delicious homemade apple sauce! Eileen Limburg Noodle Size Eileen Limburg has been leading her noodle size class here at Clover Blossom for several years. She was born in Brooklyn but moved to Rochester at one years old and has been here ever since. Eileen got her start as a physical education teacher and moved up to elementary education before retiring. Her love for teaching has not faded as she now loves leading her Noodlesize classes. In her free time Eileen enjoys traveling and reading. Elvira Echols Spanish 101 Elvira is the Business Office Manager for Clover Blossom. Born and raised in Southern California, Elvira and her husband made many moves before deciding to finally settle in Rochester and raise their family in 2005. Elvira has been in property management for more than 10 years. When she isn't glued to her computer, Elvira loves to spend time with her husband Don and daughter Joon, watching movies and playing board games. Jannel Malave Art: 101 Jannel Malave has been working in the dining room at Clover Blossom for six years now! She will be graduating from Monroe Community College this month, and moving onto The College at Brockport in the spring to earn a degree in Education. When Jannel isn't working or at school, she enjoys painting, shopping, hanging with friends and family. We hope you join Jannel for her first Watermark University class! Jeanine DiNardo Card Making After teaching scrap booking for 10 years, Jeanine decided to continue her love for paper-crafting with the creation of beautiful greeting cards for all occasions. Jeanine teaches the class with the help of her friends who also love paper-crafting. Jeanine's Aunt Angie is a resident and she enjoys being able to spend time with her and always meeting new friends. With her first year of teaching at Clover Blossom coming to, Jeanine and her friends are looking forward to another great year of card making.
NAME OF INSTRUCTOR CLASS NAME Jessie Graham Hand Painted Wooden Signs Jessie has been a part of the Clover Blossom team for just about a year now. When she is not manning the front desk, she enjoys dabbling with her various hobbies such as camping, hiking with her dog, riding dirt bikes, stand up paddle boarding, and photography. With Jessie’s love of hands on projects and being creative she started her very own online Etsy art store in 2015, and now she looks to share her interests and creativity with others! Joellen Khul Laughter Yoga Joellen, along with her partner Dale Heffer were trained by Dr.Kataria himself in 2007 to become certified Laughter Yoga Instructors. Together, they have been sharing laughs, reducing stress, and encouraging residents to use their mind to tell their body how to feel. Karen Hogan Blue Zones Karen Hogan began as the Executive Director at the Legacy at Clover Blossom in August of 2018. Previously, Karen has worked at a number of senior communities in Rochester mainly in Community Life. Most recently she was employed by Cloverwood Senior Living for almost ten years. A Syracuse native, Karen has lived in the Rochester area for over twenty years. She is married and has two furry children, her cats Sam and Dean. In her spare time, Karen enjoys traveling, long-range hiking, lots and lots of reading, and watercolor painting. Intro to ASL, Decorative Door Wreath Making & Kristy Rawson Park Explorers Club Kristy has been at Clover Blossom for 9 years, and has worn many hats over the years. She is very excited to become the newest Community Life Director!! After earning her Bachelors Degree in History from the College at Brockport, she realized that education was no longer her career path, working with seniors is! Kristy's favorite part of coming to work everyday is seeing the residents and being able to make them smile. When Kristy's not working, you can find her spending time with friends & family, hanging with her husband & their two cats; Luna & Hagrid, binge watching Netflix or planning her next travel adventure! Larry Shearer Music & Life Larry Shearer is a retired college professor who presently resides in the Rochester suburb of Brighton. He has been presenting his music programs at Clover Blossom over the past 10 years. Larry is a long time music enthusiast. In addition to the music he plays, each program presents participants with biographical information, interesting stories and historical/ cultural information relating to these great entertainers from the past.
NAME OF INSTRUCTOR CLASS NAME Lee Welles Rise & Shine and Senior Strong Lee Welles is a former Community Life Associate at Clover Blossom. Prior to her 2016 move to Rochester, Lee spent 22 years in Corning, NY. She was the owner of MARS Fitness Services, a private training and corporate consulting business. Lee was a elected as a City Councilman 3 times, and was Corning's first woman Deputy Mayor. In addition, Lee is the author of the award-winning Gaia Girls Book Series (Chelsea Green Publishing) Lee continues to write, and is currently working on the third book in the series. Lexi Rodriguez Hand Sewing Lexi is one of our new concierges here at Clover Blossom. Even though she has only been with us for about four months, she is committed to doing her absolute best and absolutely loves her job! When Lexi isn't working, she enjoys playing video games and spending time with her family. Paul Rodriguez Network Trouble Shooting Paul is the new Maintenance Director here at Clover Blossom. He has worked in the maintenance service industry for over 20 years. He spent the majority of his early years traveling around the United States as a project manager. That transitioned into property Management a little over 10 years ago. Paul has always have enjoyed working with his hands and loves the work that he does now because it allows him to do just that. As well as meet amazing new people and create new relationships everyday. In his free time, Paul also likes to remodel houses on the side. It gives him the opportunity to use his creativity and he enjoys relishing in the accomplishments of the things hes created. When Paul's not working he likes to travel, attending sporting events and spending time with his family & friends. Raphaela McCormack Tai Chi Raphaela is a certified Qi Gong Therapist, that completed her studies with Master Lisa B. O'Shea, at the Qi Gong Institute in Rochester NY in 2004 and with Master Robert Peng, at the Elixer of Light Healing School of Qi Gong in 2008. She has been a loyal student of Qi Gong since 2001, and practicing as a therapist and teacher in the greater Rochester area since 2004. She has given talks and workshops on the benefits of Qi Gong and works with cancer survivors on a regular basis. Raphaela is also an artist and has a studio at the Rochester Public Market.

Rodney Wasiscko Kitchen Tours Rod is the Director of Dining Services here at Clover Blossom. He is happily married to his wife Kimberly and is a proud father of five children and two grandchildren. Rod has over 30 years of experience leading successful restaurants throughout the Rochester and Finger Lakes region. Rod’s passion is helping others and trying to make a positive difference every day. He is the oldest of three and is originally from Kinderhook, a small Dutch town south of Albany. Kinderhook is believed to be where the legend of Sleepy Hollow (Headless Horseman and Ichabod Crane) took place. Rod earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education and Vocal Performance from Ithaca College. It was while he was in college that he first gained experience in management and a passion for the hospitality industry. Rod loves sports and is an avid NY Yankee and NY Giant fan. During his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, singing, cooking, hiking and enjoying the beauty of the Finger Lakes region. Rosemary enjoys lecturing about many different topics because it keeps her audience interested in coming back for more!
NAME OF INSTRUCTOR CLASS NAME Shari Cascio Jewelry Making Shari started making jewelry several years ago after her husband gifted her with a rock tumbler for Christmas. After tumbling thousands of semi precious gemstones, inspiration struck and Shari began her Jewelry making business. As a self taught artist, Shari created her class to help others see that they too can make beautiful jewelry on their own! Jewelry making is a fun creative outlet that's great for gift giving. Who doesn't love a homemade gift of Jewelry! Stacey Smith Road Trip Across America Stacey Smith is the Sales Associate here at Clover Blossom. Stacey received her Bachelor's degree from SUNY Brockport majoring in Sociology with a minor in Criminal Justice. Stacey has spent her career in Sales/Account Management and Customer Service positions. She truly enjoys working with and helping people, seeing the residents smile makes it all worth it to her. Outside of work, Stacey enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, playing sports and playing board games with her spouse and daughters. Steve Lambert Current Events Steve Lambert is a resident at Clover Blossom. Born and raised in Boston, Steve is a WWII Veteran that spent 33 months and 19 days in Cushing Veteran Hospital recovering from his service. Steve is a retired Rochester City School District teacher and administrator. During his time, he taught mathematics from 7th grade arithmetic to Spherical Trig and Calculus at Madison High School and Adults at East Evening School. The Rochester City School District arranged for Steve to become an administrator in various capacities at Madison, East and Edison Tech. During his career Steve was the recipient of the Stromberg Carlson Fellowship, the General Motors Fellowship and a National Science Fellowship. Sue Crounse Flip Flop Welcome Signs Sue Crounse, Sales Director is thrilled to bring her love of crafting to Watermark University. Anything with barn wood or pebbles from the lake are her favorites to play around with and make something beautiful. Sue's pastimes include routing for the Buffalo Bills, family dinners and unintentionally embarrassing her children. Sue married her childhood sweetheart Jeff, they have 2 children Grace and Tyler, and a sweet golden retriever named, Sadie.
NAME OF INSTRUCTOR CLASS NAME Terry Neal Hanger Knitting Terry Neal is a resident at Clover Blossom. Terry loves to make beautifully knitted hangers for her neighbors here and many of their families and friends. Terry started her craft making hangers while she was living in Florida. Terry loves living at Clover Blossom and is very active in many of our activities. She loves to swim in our indoor pool and attend our pool exercise classes that are offered. Terry has already made over 200 hangers for the people here at Clover Blossom. She enjoys using her free time to do good for others through her hangers! Brain Games, Chair Yoga, Detective Literature, Earth Day, Fireside Stories, French 101, Maximizing Your Tori Gordon Living Space, Poetry 101, Superfood Smoothies & Understanding Greek Mythology Tori Gordon is a Community Life Associate here at Clover Blossom. Primarily she is a devoted mother, to her beautiful daughter, Isabella. Having completed 5 semesters at MCC she is very close to getting her associates degree in both Business Administration and Liberal Arts. Eventually she aspires to go back to college and become a grade school teacher. Tori loves to learn, and teach others, her motto being that knowledge is power. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with animals, hiking, biking, skiing, reading, and yoga!
