COURSES FACULTY DAY AND TIME LOCATION 1st & 3rd A Dessert Kind of Night Jazzmin Cabrera The Gardens Wednesday • 6:00 pm Who doesn't enjoy a late night snack, especially when it's something sweet and easy to make? Join Jazzmin as she creates scrumptious desserts that take no time at all. With no fuss and no mess, feel free to enjoy these sweet treats with new friends, chat with old friends, and forget about the stress of the day with each delicious mouthful you take. 1st and 3rd Tuesday • Adrian's Mystery Kitchen Adrian Williams The Gardens 2:00 pm You just never know what Adrian will be whipping up next! He brings his love of family-style cooking to The Gardens. Participants will assist Adrian each class in cooking or baking a delicious homemade dish. Adrian is excited to share some of his favorite recipes, but is always open to new ideas! See you in the kitchen! Friday, October 5th All About Horses Larissa Kalesnik Cypress Theater • 3:30 pm Learn some interesting facts about different breeds of horses and what they are used for Today, horses are mostly used for entertainment and sports but that wasn't always the case. We will discuss different riding styles and equipment used. Whether you share Larissa's passion for horses or just enjoy learning something new, join her in the Cypress Theater All Natural Fruit Friday, November 23 Susan Gallagher The Gardens Smoothies • 2:30 pm Do you enjoy fruit? How about a cold refreshing beverage? Meet Sue in The Gardens as she serves freshly made all natural fruit smoothies. Did you know smoothies are made from pureed raw fruit and sometimes vegetables. They are often blended with other ingredients such as water, crushed ice, fruit juices and sweeteners. Sue will also be explaining the health benefits and facts of drinking fruit smoothies. Animal Lovers Ashley Pires 3rd Monday • 3:00 pm Cypress Theater Did you know that owning and caring for a pet is proven to reduce stress? Animals love giving love to us, and give it freely. It is also known that people who own pets make better partners...Animals can help people in a variety of ways. They give us companionship, protect us, and can even help us in our daily lives. Come join Ashley as we learn about different animals and what they do for people.
COURSES FACULTY DAY AND TIME LOCATION 2nd Tuesday Monthly • Bible Study Discussion Paul Umbaugh III Art Room 6:00 pm The Bible is one of the most widely discussed books ever printed. Interpretations vary between different faiths but one thing that is certain is more discussions need to be had. Regardless of your faith denomination, Paul invites everyone to attend this class where he hopes to provide an open discussion where people can express their beliefs and feelings. Everyone will have something to contribute during this opportunity for fellowship as Paul leads the group on a journey to help you grow in your spiritual life. 1st and 3rd Wednesday • Bible Study Adrian Williams The Gardens 11:00am A person’s religious faith is something uniquely personal to each individual, including our residents. As memory and cognition decline, faith can spark familiarity, memories, and can open one’s heart. Join Adrian, one of our Nayas, as he hosts a Bible study for our residents. He will guide the group through verses, psalms, and books of the Bible that are sure to help everyone on their spiritual journey. September 11th & Bunco with Jen Jennifer Naster November 13th • Gallery 6:00 pm After dinner come join Jennifer in the gallery cafe for a game of Bunco. Bunco is a fun and easy game typically played with 12 or more plays. It involves rolling dice and being a bit lucky. No experience required! We will have some snacks for all and prizes for the winner. 1st and 3rd Friday • Creative Expressions Larissa Kalesnik 10:30am Connections Lounge Art in its most expansive definition contains all forms of creative expression. Creativity will be explored through a variety of the arts including crafting, creative writing, flower arranging, & scrap-booking. As Miles Davis said, “I’m always thinking about creating. My future starts when I wake up every morning… Every day I find something creative to do with my life.” Creative or not we hope this class will inspire you.
COURSES FACULTY DAY AND TIME LOCATION Culinary Creations Josh Marlowe Last Thursday • 2:00pm Gallery Our Dining Director and Executive Chef, Josh, will take your taste buds around the world to sample some countries traditional dishes. First from the boot of Italy we will taste the richness of some carbonara pasta. A traditional dish with pasta, pancetta bacon, garlic and Parmesan. Next grab your lederhosen and get some sauerbraten. A native German dish consisting of beef marinated for 3 to 10 days and slow cooked. Wow! Par le vous francais? Some say the home of cooking is in France. We are going to whip up chicken basquaise, a dish consisting of chicken, sausage, peppers, potatoes, tomatoes and LOTS of wine. You can't go wrong with that one. A quick train ride to the Netherlands to sample some food and beer. A Dutch favorite snack very popular is called bitterballen. An interesting snack that is a fried doughy ball filled with beef and spices. A great pairing with some New Castle beer. Dare to Pair Ashley Pires 2nd Friday • 3:00 pm Gallery Cheese & Wine Have you ever wondered why we pair cheese & wine. According to some we have been pairing a variety of wines & cheeses for hundreds of years. Even though it is a centuries-old tradition, matching cheese and wine together can still be a challenging and intimidating task. If done correctly, a perfect match can be an exquisite experience. Come on down to the gallery where we will be discussing best cheese & wine pairings as well as different cheeses of the world. Each class we will sample different pairings. Do you dare to pair? Day of the Dead Shannon Morelli October 30th • 2:00 pm The Gardens Day of the Dead, celebrates life. Like the memory of a loved one that never fades, Dia de Los Muertos also survives. Come learn about this important Mexican holiday with Shannon in the Gardens on Wednesday, October 30th at 2:00pm. Exploring the Friday, September 7th Julie Morosani Cypress Theater Emerald Isle • 2:00 pm When you think of Ireland, what do you see? As its name would suggest, the “Emerald Isle” is filled to the brim with rolling green vistas that are sure to take your breath away—but they’re not the only landscape feature worth visiting! Come join Julie in the Theater where she will share her experience from her recent visit to Ireland, photos and all!
COURSES FACULTY DAY AND TIME LOCATION Thursday, October 11th Fall is For Cider Aileen Carlson Gallery • 2:00 pm As the leaves fall and Apple cider and pumpkins are abundant. We will explore the “hard” ciders, special beverages, like beer that are made from fermented fruits. Come join Aileen on Thursday, October 11th as we learn about how ciders are made, the different styles and as always; sample a few of our own! This is not beer, so if you normally do not attend this class; please join us for this cider tasting afternoon. Tuesday and Thursday • Fitness with Fusion Carly Pelland Cypress Theater 10:00 am Carly is a Rehabilitation Technician with Fusion Healthcare. She will be hosting a class every Tuesday and Thursday where she will lead residents in a fitness program specifically designed for seniors. Carly will also educate residents on the benefits of proper stretching and strengthening exercises. Carly is able to customize the class to include all levels of physical ability. This fitness class promotes daily activity which can lead to a happy and healthy lifestyle for many years to come! Hand in Hand Relaxation Cassady Davidson 2nd Thursday • 4:00 pm The Gardens Cassady will be hosting Hand in Hand Relaxation each month. This class will provide you an opportunity to practice some simple relaxation techniques such as hand massages and aromatherapy. Come for a soothing hand massage in a nice peaceful setting while listening to relaxing music. The benefits of this class will bring you back each time. October 29th, November Happy Holiday Crafts Alyssa Dewberry 16th, December 17th The Gardens • 10:30 am If learning how to make holiday crafts makes you happy then this is the class for you! Alyssa will walk you through some simple steps to create delightful crafts this season. Join her in October for Halloween Crafts, November for Thanksgiving Crafts, and December for Christmas Crafts. We will be Decking the Halls all season!
COURSES FACULTY DAY AND TIME LOCATION Carly Pelland & Marisa Health Seminar 2nd Friday • 10:30 am Cypress Theater Kalesnik, RN Carly is a Rehabilitation Technician with Fusion Healthcare and Marisa Kalesnik is an R.N. with Fusion Healthcare. They will continue to host monthly health seminars here at The Watermark at Trinity. September's seminar will be about Staying in Balance. In preparation for Flu season this October, Marisa will hold a seminar on Flu -vs- Cold, how to tell the difference and the use of hand sanitizer. November is National Alzheimer's Disease Awareness Month. They will host a class called "Walk Down Memory Lane" and provide some useful memory tips. Be sure to join Carly or Marisa every month because being informed is our best defense! Wednesday, September History of Pizza Aileen Carlson Gallery 5th • 2:00 pm New York Style? Chicago Deep Dish? The debate over which pizza style is best has been an age old question; we will explore this and the history of both cities and their pizza styles. On Wednesday, September 5th at 2:00 p.m. in the Gallery Café join Aileen as will celebrate Cheese Pizza Day. Thursday, December Ho Ho Holiday Beers Aileen Carlson Gallery 20th • 2:00 pm Every year we sample some of the most interesting beers brewed for the holidays. Join Aileen as we sample different styles, uniquely named beers and those special releases only available at this time of year. We will talk about the brewing process, and the history of the breweries that make these special releases on Thursday, December 20th at 2:00 p.m. in the Gallery Café. Thursday, October 25th Holiday Door Decor Cassady Davidson The Gardens • 10:30 am A great way to relax during the fall is with crafting! If you're looking for a cute fall project, you have to try this easy ombre pumpkin button craft! Cassady will walk you through step by step to create this beautiful button decor for your door. Homemade at Heart Jazzmin Cabrera Tuesdays • 10:30 am The Gardens Not very artistic? Not to worry, neither is Jazzmin! What counts is that Jazzmin puts her whole heart into everything she does and she wants to show you how fun crafts can be even if you are not an expert. Join Jazzmin as she gives step-by-step directions on how to create easy crafts while enjoying a sweet and savory snack. By the end of the class, everyone's crafts will be the talk of the community!
COURSES FACULTY DAY AND TIME LOCATION Ice Cream Sundae 1st Monday • Ashley Pires Gallery/The Gardens on a Monday 2:00/3:00 pm Like many of life's great things, ice cream is best with all the sweet fixings. During this class you will be able to make your own sundae while Ashley shares some interesting fun facts. Did you know that the most expensive Sundae, "The Golden Sundae" goes for $1k. Many American localities have claimed to be the birthplace of the ice cream sundae. Grab your spoon & join Ashley on the 1st Monday of the month. Life-Stories Sharing Walter Schlomann 2nd Tuesday • 10:30 am Cypress Theater This is an entertaining and dynamic program that combines past memories with current topics. This innovative class provides an opportunity for residents to reminisce, learn, and discuss in a relaxed and fun atmosphere. The class will include watching short videos relevant to the time and topic, lively discussions revolving around the topic, and of course storytelling! This is your time to relive powerful moments in your life and share those amazing stories with others. 1st and 3rd Monday • 10:30 am Connections Lounge and Make It & Take It Lisa DeCamella 2nd and 4th Monday • The Gardens 10:30 am Lisa has a passion for anything art related. She loves making holiday themed centerpieces and door decorations as well as one-of-a-kind paintings. Lisa also loves putting glitter on everything! Lisa will use her creative spirit to create a sample prior to each class and then will give step by step instructions to creating a perfect masterpiece! Participants with little to no artistic ability will love this class just as much as the professionals! Monday, September Matzabri Susan Gallagher Gallery 10th • 2:00 pm Please come join Susan for some old fashion Jewish style pancake called Matzabri. This is a recipe going back four generations in her family. It has been passed down to her and she would love to share her grandmother's delicious recipe with you all. It is made with Matza, that's right Matza! Please come and enjoy this special treat that is close to her heart and tasty on your tongue.
COURSES FACULTY DAY AND TIME LOCATION 2nd Wednesday Men's Group Ashley Pires Lobby • 11:30 am For men ONLY! This lunchtime gathering will be off campus at a local restaurant where manly drinks and hearty fare are readily available. Enjoy comradery and lively discussion of sports, politics, religion, and any other subject that comes to mind. Serious issues facing the world will be completely resolved. Join this outing and enjoy doing “guy stuff”! More Cookies with Wendy Morrison October 17th • 2:00 pm Gallery Wendy Let's continue on our journey of favorite cookies. Who doesn't like chocolate? Who doesn't like peanut butter? Now let's combine the two and make peanut butter chocolate chip cookies! For most of us growing up, peanut butter was a favorite, and a lunch time staple for sandwiches. Chocolate, at least for me, was a rare treat. So combining the two makes for a delightful pleasure. 2nd Wednesday • Night of Zen Jazzmin Cabrera The Gardens 6:00 pm Feeling tired or stressed? The practice of Zen can make you feel relaxed and refreshed. Join Jazzmin for the night as you relax your mind with calming music and simple exercises. She will also demonstrate various ways to stay relaxed by maintaining proper posture, controlling your breathing, and keeping your mind at ease. Passport to the Seattle Nelson Monthly • 3:30 pm The Gardens World of Desserts Grab your passport as Seattle will show you a delicious way to discover desserts from around the world. He will take your taste buds on a tour of Italy as he prepares an old Italian favorite "The Cannoli". Where he takes us next is a mystery? Be sure to join him every month for a tasty treat. Pet Partners Kim Fiore 1st Sunday • 11:00 am The Gardens On the 1st Sunday of the month you can look forward to a visit from Kim and her Clydesdale horse. They are an animal assisted therapy team with Pet Partners. Kim is a veterinary student with a passion for horses. She is thrilled to visit Watermark at Trinity and share her knowledge of animals.
COURSES FACULTY DAY AND TIME LOCATION Portrait Drawing Ileana Holman 3rd Tuesday • 10:30 am Art Room Portraits inspired by “The Golden Age of Hollywood” are the foundation of this class as participants are taught coloring and shading techniques with colored pencils. With the use of a template and hands-on, step-by-step instructions, participants learn tips and tricks to make beautiful and expressive faces while having fun in a relaxed environment. This activity takes colored pencil drawing to another level and is suitable for all skill levels! Friday, September 14th • Rewards of Recycling Elizabeth Gray Connections Lounge 2:00 pm Did you know Americans throw away 2.5 million plastic bottles an hour? What impact does this have on our environment? What can we do to educate ourselves and save our planet? Elizabeth is coming back for another seminar on recycling to explain ways to lessen our environmental footprint. She will also share recycling efforts we have taken on as a community. Elizabeth will update the community on the impact we are making by recycling plastics, cardboard, and paper. If you don't know about the recycling program, please be sure to attend so you can help the community stay "green". Rise & Shine with Fusion Carly Pelland Wednesday • 10:00 am The Gardens Carly is a Rehabilitation Technician with Fusion Healthcare. She will be hosting a class every Wednesday where she will lead residents in a fitness program specifically designed for seniors. Carly will be using sensory stimulation such as colorful equipment and music to truly engage our memory care residents. This class will include exercises which span a wide range of physical abilities. Carly will provide individualized assistance to ensure everyone receives the maximum benefit. Mornings have never felt so good! September 26th Rum Tasting Class Shannon Morelli Gallery Wednesday • 2:00 pm Did you know the first distillation of rum in the Caribbean took place on the sugarcane plantations there in the 17th century? Come learn about the history of rum and taste a few rum inspired recipes with Shannon in the gallery, September 26th at 2:00 pm. Scrapbooking with Seattle Nelson 1st Friday • 6:00 pm The Gardens Seattle Scrapbooking is a great and fun way to document family history, childhood keepsakes, and your most precious memories. The best part about scrapbooking is you don’t necessarily have to be artistic to create one. Seattle will help you on your way to beginning a scrapbook of your very own.
COURSES FACULTY DAY AND TIME LOCATION Sing For Your Health Norman Alexander 3rd Tuesday • 2:00 pm Connections Lounge Singing can have some of the same effects as exercise, like the release of endorphins, which give the singer an overall "lifted" feeling and are associated with stress reduction. It's also an aerobic activity, meaning it gets more oxygen into the blood for better circulation, which tends to promote a good mood. This class will offer you the opportunity to do just that. Sing-a-long with Norman. He has hundreds of songs from the 40's thru the 80's that he would love to share with you. Sit & Be Fit Lisa DeCamella Monday • 10:00 am The Gardens Lisa has designed a dance fitness class that will make exercising fun for everyone! Lisa uses songs from the 40’s & 50’s all the way up to the 80’s to motivate participants to exercise on beat and to push themselves to move just a little bit faster. Participants can sit or stand during this 30-minute class which contains the perfect blend of cardio and strengthening exercises. 2nd and 4th Monday • Spanish 101 Miriam Tennant Connections Lounge 2:00 pm Hola! Como estas? Tu hables español? Have you ever wanted to learn this beautiful language? If so, this is the opportunity you have been waiting for! Miriam will be teaching vocabulary words, conversational Spanish, and popular phrases throughout the fall semester. Participants will be encouraged to practice their skills and improve from month to month. There has never been a better time to learn a new language than right now! Shannon Morelli & Julie Spanish Culture of Dance October 8th • 5:00 pm Columbia Restaurant Morosani Celebrating More Than A Century Of History, Culture And Cuisine. We will visit the oldest restaurant in Florida, owned by the same family since opened in 1905. Founded in 1905 by Cuban immigrant Casimiro Hernandez, Sr., the Columbia Restaurant is Florida’s oldest restaurant, and the largest Spanish restaurant in the world. It will be an experience you won't want to forget as we watch and learn about the Flamenco Dancers. Before saying Hasta luego, we will visit the Columbia shop for some authentic souvenirs. Vamanos!
COURSES FACULTY DAY AND TIME LOCATION Spanish Culture: December 10th Miriam Tennant Art Room Feliz Navidad • 2:00 pm Puerto Rico has the longest and best Christmas season, with parades, fireworks, & singing. Guests bring traditional holiday desserts to one another's homes. Learn about the traditional Puerto Rican Christmas foods that give Puerto Ricans a separate identity from the rest of the world. You will have an opportunity to sample some while your at it. Buen apetito!! Stronger Seniors Exercise Larissa Kalesnik Wednesday • 10:00 am Cypress Theater This class will help teach you the importance of exercise and movement and how it can greatly improve your health and wellbeing. Join Larissa as we learn basic breathing and stretching exercises, as well as various different ways to relax the mind and body. Come exercise your brain and your muscles with us! 2nd and 4th Monday • Tap Dancing Pat Zaegers Connections Lounge 10:00 am This is a class where everyone can participate! Tap your feet and feel the rhythm from the comfort of your chair. In this class, participants will start with basic dance steps and gradually combine those steps into routines choreographed to popular songs. As the class progresses, participants will develop muscle memory which is great for engaging the brain. Most importantly, participants can exercise the body while socializing with friends. This is a whole body fitness class! Tap shoes are provided! 2nd & 4th Tuesday • The Games Group Georgia Wengert Gallery 1:30-3:30 pm Members of "The Games Group" coordinated by Georgia Wengert will come to the gallery to join with you in playing games of your choice. Perhaps you haven't played in a long time, but you can recall what fun it was. There will be an assortment of games, some challenging, some easy. Watermark classes are intended to stimulate the mind and provide meaningful opportunities to learn and grow. This is a great opportunity to meet new friends and brush up on Bridge or learn a new game such as Mahjong. Embrace the challenge and come join them. Mark your calendars! See you there!! 1st & 3rd Wednesday Time to Relax Larissa Kalesnik The Art Room • 3:30 pm If you're feeling stressed and wondering how to relax, come practice some simple steps for releasing tension in your body and your mind. Larissa will show you a variety of techniques on how you can relax in just 5 minutes. From sipping tea to trying some pranayama breathing, all these tactics can create calm during tough times.

Its circular shape represents eternity, for it has no beginning and no end. The evergreen, most frequently used in making wreaths, symbolizes growth and everlasting life. Let's have some fun making your own special wreath for the holiday season. To Bake or Not to Bake Larissa Kalesnik 4th Friday • 2:00 pm Gallery To bake or not to bake, that is the question? Larissa will challenge you to roll up your sleeves and try some new bake & no bake recipes. She will chat with you about some of the latest food trends and surprisingly good ways to whip up some of your favorite snacks. 4th Wednesday Vegetarian Delights Jazzmin Cabrera The Gardens • 6:00 pm Vegetarianism is the practice of abstaining from the consumption of meat. There has never been a better time to experience vegetarian cooking than right now! You will be amazed at what you can eat! Join Jazzmin as she demonstrates how to make a flavorful, homemade vegetarian snack! Wine Tasting with Jen Jennifer Naster November 2nd • 2:00 pm Gallery This semester we will visit Italy, tasting and learning about Chianti. Chianti is a very dry wine. It ranges from light bodied to almost full bodied, according to the district, producer, vintage, and aging regime. It often has an aroma of cherries or sometimes violets, and has a flavor reminiscent of tart cherries. Come join Jen on November 2nd and have a little taste of Italy. World of Whiskey Julie Morosani 3rd Friday • 2:00 pm Gallery Welcome to the Wonderful World of Whiskey. What is the story of this marvelous elixir that has been Man’s Best Friend for over half a millennium? Whiskey or Whisky? Single Malt? Blended? Scotch? Irish? American? Canadian? Bourbon? What is the difference, and most importantly, which do you like best? This class will answer these questions and more. We will also taste some samples and enjoy a delicious whiskey cocktail!
COURSES FACULTY DAY AND TIME LOCATION Zumba Gold Carrie Ingber Saturday • 10:30 am The Gardens Zumba Gold is a version of Zumba which is a dance fitness program. Zumba Gold is specifically designed to meet the physiological, psychological, and anatomical needs of the senior population. The choreography in Zumba routines is created to complement Latin styles of music and can be performed either standing up or sitting down. Each week participants will learn steps and create routines. As each routine is mastered new ones will be introduced to correspond with new songs. Zumba Gold is taught by a certified instructor and is intended for all levels of physical ability.
Faculty Biographies NAME OF INSTRUCTOR CLASS NAME Norman Alexander Sing For Your Health Norman is a friend of one our residents at The Watermark at Trinity. He has performed in many plays, musicals, and in church choirs. He likes to get the audience involved in duets or group singing during his class. He has hundreds of songs from the 40's thru the 80's that he would love to share with you. A Dessert Kind of Night, Homemade at Heart, Jazzmin Cabrera Night of Zen, & Vegetarian Delights Jazzmin is a Caregiver at The Watermark at Trinity. She graduated in the Spring of 2017 from Ridgewood High School and began her first career in Assisted Living with us in August 2017. She is the youngest of three children and many people would describe her as being shy. Jazzmin is grateful that this job has helped her grow as a person and she has found her passion working with residents in Memory Care. Her personality fits this environment so well that she has devoted four brand new Watermark University classes to these residents. Jazzmin's future career goal is to become a Damage Controlman, which in civilian terms means a Navy Firefighter. Fall is for Cider, History of Pizza Aileen Carlson & Ho-Ho-Holiday Beers Aileen is the Executive Director at The Watermark at Trinity. She has been with the Watermark family for over 15 years. Aileen joined the Trinity team from our sister property, The Fountains of Boca Ciega Bay, where she started in Community Life and worked her way up to Executive Director. Aileen is married and has two children, Tessa and Brendan. She graduated from the University of Florida. Aileen enjoys reading, watching sports (especially Gator Football), exercising, and she is the team manager for Tessa’s and Brendan's competitive soccer team. Cassady Davidson Hand in Hand Relaxation & Holiday Door Decor Cassady is a nurse at The Watermark at Trinity. She has 7 years experience working in assisted living. Last summer Cassady moved to Florida from Colorado with her husband and 2 girls, age 8 and 4. She does not miss the snow and loves the beach and warm weather. Lisa DeCamella Sit & Be Fit & Make It & Take It Lisa is a personal trainer with the American Council on Exercise (ACE) and loves creating fun workouts with great upbeat music. She has over 20 years of experience as a dance educator and incorporates rhythm and flexibility exercises into her classes. Lisa also loves art. She has a Bachelor of Science in Advertising from the University of Florida which inspires her to create colorful and fun art projects that bring everyone together. NAME OF INSTRUCTOR CLASS NAME Alyssa Dewberry Happy Holiday Crafts Alyssa Dewberry is the Resident Care Director for Watermark. She has been with Watermark for 9 months and has over 15 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Alyssa was born and raised in Florida and enjoys our beaches, swimming and hanging out with her godson who is 7 years old. She also loves pets and has a dog named Chloe. Kim Fiore Pet Partners Kim is part of an animal assisted therapy team with Pet Partners. She is also going to school to become a veterinarian. Kim has a passion for horses and is thrilled to bring her Clydesdale horse to visit the residents at The Watermark at Trinity. Susan Gallagher Matzah Bri & All Natural Fruit Smoothies Susan is a nursing supervisor for Watermark at Trinity. She has been with Watermark for close to 2 years. She enjoys working with the residents and families. She considers them her second family. Originally from the northeast and missed the change of season. She has a great husband and terrific kids and loves road trips with them. Elizabeth Gray Rewards of Recycling Beth is a nurse at The Watermark at Trinity. She began her career in healthcare in 1983 in Detroit, Michigan as a nursing assistant. Beth studied Validation Therapy while working as a GNA in Frederick, Maryland. She became an LPN in 2007. Beth has two sons, John (Chucky) who is 28 and Jimmy who is 24. She is very proud to say both of her sons are Eagle Scouts. Beth moved to Florida to be closer to her parents in Palm Harbor. In her spare time, Beth loves to watch the Lions, Tigers, Cubs, Pistons and Red Wings play. She has two cats named Tiger and Calvin Johnson. Beth considers herself non-traditional as she does not use a cell phone! Ileana Holman Portrait Drawing Ileana is a portrait artist and instructor that hosts various classes throughout the tri-county area. She is a former ALF Administrator who wants to share her passion of “The Golden Age of Hollywood” with the seniors she loved caring for. Ileana’s artwork has been displayed at events in Florida, California, and the United Kingdom. She loves drawing, sketching, and teaching others how to bring their artwork to the next level.
NAME OF INSTRUCTOR CLASS NAME Carrie Ingber Zumba Gold Carrie is a certified Zumba & Zumba Gold instructor. She took up Zumba as a way to regain some strength after an accident but it has given her so much more. Zumba combines her love of music and dancing in one activity, which also happens to be great exercise and a wonderful social outlet. After four years as a Zumba student, Carrie decided to share her passion with others and became a certified instructor. Carrie has prepared routines and music so each class will be something new to enjoy! When Carrie isn’t at a Zumba class herself or busy creating new routines, she is enjoying time with family and her three adorable dogs. All About Horses, Creative Expressions, Larissa Kalesnik Stronger Seniors Exercise, Time to Relax & To Bake or Not to Bake Larissa is a Community Life Assistant at The Watermark at Trinity. She enjoys helping people and has been a certified nursing assistant for 12 years. Larissa recently moved here from Massachusetts. She has a horse named "Jackson" and has been around horses all of her life. In her free time she loves to visit the beautiful beaches of our Florida Gulf Coast. Marisa Kalesnik, R.N. Health Seminar Marisa is a Registered Nurse with Fusion Healthcare. Marisa was born in Massachusetts and moved to Florida in 2014. Marisa has over 22 years of nursing experience and is also an experienced care provider for Assisted Living Communities. Marisa enjoys going to the beach and is thankful her snow shoveling days are over! Josh Marlowe Culinary Creations Josh is the Executive Chef and Dining Service Director at The Watermark at Trinity. His culinary career started in his mother’s kitchen at the age of 15. After graduating culinary school and working at various restaurants, Josh found his way to our sister property, The Fountains of Boca Ciega Bay. Josh began as a Sous Chef and as he worked his way up to Executive Chef, he found his calling for helping others. He left for two years to start his own restaurant in Fort Lauderdale but realized he missed the family environment of senior living and came back to join the Trinity team. He believes in creating food that ignites the senses. His guiding principle for cooking is about getting back to the basics and creating dishes with simple ingredients and seasonings. Josh is excited to cater to all of the residents and hopefully learn a few new things along the way!
NAME OF INSTRUCTOR CLASS NAME Day of the Dead, Rum Tasting Class Shannon Morelli & Spanish Culture of Dance Shannon is the Program Director at The Watermark of Trinity. She discovered her passion for assisted living early in her nursing career and has worked in senior living for over 18 years. Shannon is a trainer for the Certified Dementia Care Practitioner program which is the specialized training offered to our “Nayas” that are caring for our memory care residents. Shannon was born and raised right here in the Tampa Bay area. She lives only minutes from the community with her husband of 11 years, Mike, 17 year old daughter Ammie, and 10 year old son Mikey. In her spare time, she enjoys trips to Hawaii, spending family time outdoors, or hitting the trails in her Jeep. Wendy Morrison Tis the Season & More Cookies with Wendy Wendy is the Sales Associate at The Watermark at Trinity. She has been in sales and marketing for over 30 years. After 25 years in the designer fragrance industry, Wendy decided to change fields and found her way to senior living. Working with seniors and their families to find the right solutions for their needs was a great match for Wendy’s compassionate and caring heart. Wendy is very family oriented. She has been married for 43 years and has two children and two grandchildren. Wendy enjoys interior design, baking, walking, reading, and going on cruises in her spare time. Exploring the Emerald Isle, Julie Morosani Spanish Culture of Dance, & World of Whiskey Julie is the new Community Life Director. She recently relocated from Connecticut where she worked in a group of skilled nursing homes for 30 years. She worked her way up from Activities Assistant to Director of Therapeutic Recreation. After graduating with an AS degree Julie studied Family Studies at Saint Joseph's College. She has a daughter and will celebrate 25 years of marriage this fall. Her and her husband have traveled to many places including Switzerland, Germany, Peru, Mexico & the Dominic Republic. She will share her latest adventure to Ireland in her upcoming class, Exploring the Emerald Isle. Jennifer Naster Bunco with Jen and Wine Tasting with Jen Jennifer is the Sales Director at The Watermark at Trinity. She is a graduate from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor’s in Social Work. She began working at our sister property, The Fountains of Boca Ciega Bay, in St. Petersburg. Jennifer grew up in the area and is lucky to have family close by. Jennifer is an avid animal lover and her best friend is her dog, Samson. She loves being outside taking walks with Samson, working on her orchids, and boating. Jennifer recently got married and is very happy! Jennifer truly enjoys her job. She prides herself on being a resource for seniors in every aspect of Senior Living!
NAME OF INSTRUCTOR CLASS NAME Passport to a World of Desserts & Seattle Nelson Scrapbooking with Seattle Seattle is one of Watermark at Trinity's Lead Nayas on second shift in The Gardens. He joined our team last December and is a wonderful addition. His love for cooking and for the residents is what inspired him to lead some classes. He is looking forward to working with the residents on their very own personal scrapbooks. Seattle was raised nearby in Tarpon Springs, FL well known for it's sponge docks. Carly Pelland Fitness with Fusion & Rise & Shine with Fusion Carly Pelland is the Lead Rehabilitation Technician/Client Services with Fusion HealthCare. She has been with Fusion for over three years and has over twelve years of experience in the healthcare industry. Carly was born and raised in Florida and enjoys boating, fishing and visiting all the beautiful beaches the state has to offer. Carly is engaged and has one daughter, Desiree. She is also an avid animal lover and has three dogs, a bearded dragon, five hens and a rooster! Animal Lovers, Dare to Pair, Ashley Pires Ice Cream Sundae on a Monday & Men's Group Ashley is the driver for The Watermark at Trinity. She has 10 years experience in the health care industry. Early in her career she found a true passion working with seniors. She is new to The Watermark family and pleased to say she loves it here! Ashley moved to Florida when she was 4 years old. She lives in the area with her husband and daughter. Family is very important to her. She enjoys spending time with them, boating, fishing, hiking, riding horses and running. Walter Schlomann Life-Stories Sharing Walter is an award winning filmmaker. His programs have aired on PBS, TV Land, History Channel, MTV, Biography Channel, and Comedy Central. He has worked with stars such as Michael Stipe and Cyndi Lauper. Walter has filmed helicopter scenes in the Australian Outback, directed “Scotty” of Star Trek on a wild aerial ride through New York, and has even worked with crocodiles, kangaroos, and mermaids! He is the president and creative director of Heritage Media Group, the founder of Life-Stories Sharing, and president of Carrollwood Toastmasters Club.
NAME OF INSTRUCTOR CLASS NAME Miriam Tennant Spanish 101 & Spanish Culture: Feliz Navidad Miriam is the Director of Plant Operations at The Watermark at Trinity. She is very family oriented and loves spending time with her wonderful husband, two children, and three grandchildren. Miriam enjoys traveling and experiencing new places. She is very passionate and thoroughly enjoys celebrating the holidays! Miriam has always been a very expressive person who loves to have fun in every situation. She takes every opportunity to build stronger relationships with residents, family members, associates, and peers. Paul Umbaugh, III Bible Study Discussion Paul is a decorated veteran who has spent his life helping others through a variety of different positions. Paul was honorably discharged as a Sergeant in the Army. During his career, he has worked with the Presidential Honor Guard and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier Detail. He served as a first responder with the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office as well as Pasco Fire and Rescue. He also served with the Florida Joint Replacement & Sports Medicine Center and worked as a personal trainer for athletes, friends and co- workers. Paul holds degrees in criminology and psychology from Northwestern University and is a member of Phi Theta Kappa Society. Georgia Wengert The Games Group Georgia is the coordinator of The Games Group. This group began in 2011 as an effort to assist seniors in the community to socialize while exercising their brains. Georgia has a long history of working with seniors from her role as Business Manager of Independent Living Apartments for 20 years, to 12 years volunteering in various CARES programs. Their group began renting the Andrus Fellowship Hall of the Community Congregational Church in New Port Richy and became part of the Community Congregational Church Outreach Programs. Georgia came to Florida after retirement to be near family. She enjoys her home, garden and butterflies. Adrian Williams Adrian's Mystery Kitchen & Bible Study Adrian is a Certified Nursing Assistant at The Watermark at Trinity. Family is very important to him as he is one of 11 children! Adrian is very close with his siblings as well as his mother. One of his favorite things is family gatherings, and when there are gatherings, there is always food! Adrian enjoys cooking and his competitive spirit constantly pushes him to do better, create bigger, and try everything. In the future, Adrian hopes to travel the world and perhaps even become a flight attendant.
NAME OF INSTRUCTOR CLASS NAME Pat Zaegers Tap Dancing Pat is a tap dance instructor. She graduated from the University of South Florida where she earned a degree in Exercise Physiology. Pat started dancing at the age of four. She has attended tap conferences around the country where she is constantly picking up new material. Pat is currently teaching children and adults in multiple dance studios in the tri-county area. She is excited to bring tap dance to the community and looks forward to seeing the class continue to develop throughout the semester.
