Our programs enable students to obtain first‐hand experience, college credits, and cultural exploration within an international setting based on academic and personal growth. Whether you are looking for academic credit courses or internship opportunities combined with cultural experience, TJU International Summer School will provide something for you. 4 Tianjin University International Summer School 2015 2. Program Structure 2.1 Module 1. Energy and Environment in China Date: 17 May 2015 – 12 June 2015 This module is composed of one academic course on Energy and Environment in China (EEC), one Chinese language course and academic tours to TJU labs and Tianjin City (including Sino‐Singapore Tianjin Eco‐city (SSTEC), Tianjin Everglade Park, municipal waste to energy plant, waste water treatment plant, as well as energy efficiency and energy‐saving facilities) and field trip in Tianjin and Beijing. Campus activities will also be held to help merge into local community. Undergraduates majoring in science and engineering, including environmental science and engineering, chemical engineering, chemistry, civil engineering, energy engineering, mechanical engineering, material science, or those who are interested in Chinese energy and environment with basic knowledge of China are welcomed. Upon completion of this program, you will receive a transcript, a certificate of completion of study, and up to 4.5 units of credit from Tianjin University. The registration fee of 100 USD is due with the initial application for the program, which should be paid with application and is non‐refundable. The tuition / internship fee, lodging, field trip and administration fee will be charged AFTER receiving the Letter of Acceptance. Refund Policy: All withdrawal before 30 days from (exclude day 30, GMT+8) the start date of the program with valid reasons, accommodation fee, field trip fee and 50% of the administration fee (exclude bank charge) will be refunded. However, the registration fee and tuition/internship fee are non‐refundable. If the participant withdraws within 30 days away from the event start date, the program fee (including registration fee, tuition/ internship fee, accommodation fee, administration fee, field trip fee) is non‐refundable. 8
