Wayne Township Senior Center October and November 2021 Hello Members! The holidays are quickly approaching and it is our time to give back to the community! We have several new volunteer opportunities available including making ornaments for soldiers, making no-sew fleece blankets for our general assistance seniors, participating in the Holiday Assistance Program through general assistance and finally our food drive collection for soldiers. These activities are in addition to our regularly scheduled shredding of newspapers, cards for soldiers and fleece projects for the homeless. There is no better time than the holidays to show our support to our community by giving our time volunteering for those who need it most. I’m happy to announce that our Senior Center is back to its lively self with activities, trips, exercise, cards, bimonthly meetings, bingo, etc. We appreciate everyone following the new state guidelines of wearing a mask indoors and are thankful to not have to ask members to oblige… everyone is doing their part. I am even happier to announce that we WILL be having our Annual Senior Center Christmas Party (details in newsletter) along with our raffle basket and 50/50 fundraisers. Stay healthy, be happy, show kindness and most importantly love one another!
