“Submission" vs. “Vote” The nickname/logo submission process was not a voting process • If v oting process, only 1 submission would’ve been permitted per indiv idual • If v oting process, the survey would hav e collected demographic data (stakeholder type, school, grade, etc.) There are currently four official ”votes” scheduled for this project • Reducing all submissions to 8-10 options (April 6 and April 8) • Reducing 8-10 options to final two options (June 3) • Students v ote on final two options (June 7 & 8) • School Board v otes on final nickname/logo (June 22) The number of submissions received for a particular nickname/logo is not intended as a determining factor on whether a submission moves to the next round All submissions should be equally vetted against the “Six Guiding Principles” as established by the committee The 8-10 submissions that move to the next round should be the submissions that most closely align with the criteria set forth in the “Six Guiding Principles” (Slide from April 6, 2021 Mascot Selection and Rebranding Committee Meeting) 6
