The Green Sheet Issue 50 8 January 2021 Thousands of staff get game- changing Covid-19 vaccination The NHS is under pressure across the country due to the spread of Covid-19 but there is light at the end of the tunnel, as we ramp up our vaccination programme for healthcare workers. Since kicking off our staff vaccination programme on Monday, we have booked in more than 3000 jabs for priority staff from the Trust and local NHS partner organisations. From Monday, we are releasing even more appointments, with online booking open to all Trust staff, not just those at most clinical risk. Teams of vaccinators are administering the jabs from 7.30am to 7pm daily, after undergoing training on how to deliver the new treatment. Lead consultant for stroke medicine Dr Abul Azim was one of the first members of staff to receive the vaccine. He said: “I am thrilled to have received the vaccine today and celebrate that our staff are being continued over Chief executive Steve Dunn and our partner organisations, than 3000 colleagues will have writes: Happy New Year to every receiving their first jab at Quince received the first part of single one of you.
