  Recreation Management Software Program is compatible with CIVIC PLUS (New Kent County’s Platform).
  Please be patient as we transition from one software program to the other. Please follow New Kent Parks and
  Recreation Facebook for CIVIC REC updates. If you have questions, please call our office at (804) 966-8502.

  We will be joining in the fun on these days with the Farmer’s
 Market, Virginia Cooperative Extension and the Heritage Public
                              Library
 The New Kent Farmers Market (NKFM) is located at the NKFM
 Pavilion at the intersection of New Kent Highway and Vineyards
 Parkway (7589 New Kent Highway). The market will be open rain
 or shine, on Saturdays from 9am to 12pm, May 14 through August
 27. There will also be monthly fall markets on the last Saturdays of
 the months of September and October at this location to round out he
 2022 season.

Join experienced Karate Instructor, David Frank and his instructors for American Style Karate. Karate promotes a healthy
lifestyle for the mind and body. Karate aids in self-confidence, attention span, focus and discipline. Instructors coach to a

Stack ‘em Up Cakes for Teens

Have you seen cakes at a wedding or fancy event and wondered how they stacked them? In this fun workshop, you will take home a
mini 4 inch cake and 6 inch cake double layered and stacked! You will learn how to ice the cake, or maybe not ice as much to give a
different effect on the cake. You will learn how to stack it and transport. We will do some fun decorating to make this a mini master-

                                                      Cruising Through Summer
                                                                   with Parks & Recreation!

                                                                    July 5 - August 19, 2022

                                                                           7:30 am - 5:30 pm

    New Kent Parks & Recreation is preparing to “Cruise Through Summer” in our 21st
  year of summer programming! This is a recreation based day camp for rising 1st - rising
  6th graders. Participants will enjoy age appropriate recreational activities including arts,
  sports, playground games and more! Weekly themes will promote small and large group
        activities. Participants need to bring a lunch and two snacks to camp. *Most
   activities are geared towards elementary school aged—please talk with staff to ensure
                        your rising 6th grader could benefit from camp.

  Registration Fee:          $25 per camper due by May 27, 2022 (or until full)

    in our summer day camp does not secure registration for other
                          recreational camps.

 during the program. Any policies will be communicated before camp

 - New this year! Parents will need to commit to the weeks their child
 will attend upon registration (or no later than May 27). Parents will

Prepare for war…cupcake style! Each day we will be creating, baking, and decorating gorgeous
cupcakes to enjoy and share with Buttercream icing . The kids will learn baking techniques as well
as how to work with Cake Decorating bags and different tips to create our masterpieces ! Kids will
be in teams daily and different themes and we will have friendly competition each day! Get ready
for the friendly Challenge! Please note any food allergies with registration, tie back long hair, and

Join NKPR volunteer coaches for this exciting and growing soccer program. Participants will play in the league based on their age as of
09/02/22. Proof of age may be required. Practices are scheduled to start the week of 8/29 or 9/05. Games are scheduled to start mid—
late September on Saturdays. Registration includes jersey, officials and end of season award. Practices could be M-F and in the school
area, Quinton Park/or Pine Fork Park. Games may be played in New Kent, West Point and other locations. Parents, please indicate your
interest in coaching. Priority is given to returning coaches in good standing. Please complete Parks and Recreation Registration Form,
update contact information, sign Code of Conduct and COVID waiver, if required.

Zumba
Ages:              18 + (16-17 with parent permission)
Instructor:        B. Borja
Zumba is a fitness program that combines Latin and international
music with dance moves. Zumba routines incorporate interval training
alternating fast and slow rhythms with resistance training. Zumba is a total
workout combining fitness, cardio, muscle conditioning, balance and flexibility.
Bring a water and towel to class. The class will continue monthly based on interest.
$40 month = $5 a class!! Location: Gym or cafeteria

Learn to Line Dance with Tracy Collins! Ages 15 years and up, all levels are welcome,

      or your organization would like to schedule a space, please contact us for availability and an application packet.
       Reservations are first come first serve with application and fees. Application packets, regulations and fees are

      Recreation Fields, Courthouse Fields, Quinton Park Fields, Pine Fork Fields, or school (NKES, GWES, NKMS)

The County of New Kent Board of Supervisors, including Parks and Recreation, shall not be held responsible for
any injury or loss of property suffered by any individual while participating in Parks and Recreation activities,
camps, and/or programs. The participant/or guardian acknowledges the ongoing COVID-19 virus pandemic and
acknowledges the potential adverse health effects of contracting the COVID-19 virus. The participant/or
guardian agrees, acknowledges, and understands that although the County has sanitized and cleaned the facilities
prior to scheduled activity, the County makes no representations or warranties concerning the effectiveness of
their cleaning with regard to the COVID-19 virus.

It is the responsibility of the participant/or guardian to be aware of the guidelines set forth by the state and
federal laws applying to the COVID-19. The participant/or guardian acknowledges that it is their responsibility
to comply with state/federal law guidelines and that the County shall not be responsible for anyone contracting
COVID-19.

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL THE COUNTY, ITS BOARD MEMBERS, DIRECTORS,
EMPLOYEES OR VOLUNTEERS BE LIABLE TO THE PARTICIPANT/OR GUARDIAN, OR ANY
VISITORS, INVITEES, OR OTHER INDIVIDUALS FOR ANY INJURIES OR DAMAGES
