View of TU Berlin campus About Technische Universität Berlin Dear prospective students, We are delighted that you are interested in studying at TU Berlin! Did you know that the Technische Hochschule zu Berlin – the predecessor institute of TU Berlin – was the first German technical university to be granted the right to bestow doctor titles? That was in 1899. Today TU Berlin is one of the most renowned technical universities in Ger- many. With some 34,000 students and more than 130 degree courses, it is also one of the largest. TU Berlin’s main focus is on research and teaching in the area of technical and natural sciences. However, you can also study subjects from the areas of planning, social sciences, humanities and economics. The TU Berlin Main Campus is situated in Charlottenburg – right in the heart of the German capital. There are also additional sites else- where in Berlin - we even have a campus in El Gouna in Egypt. Visit the Main Campus and check it out for yourself!
