Exceptional Value for a Fraction of the Cost IEEE Journals Are Priced Well Below the Market Average Each year, journal pricing studies show that IEEE publications are priced well below market averages. The annual Library Journal Periodical Price Survey published in 2014 reveals that the cost of scientific and engineering journals continues to soar. That’s not the case with IEEE journals, which are priced to be a better value for researchers in all areas of technology. According to the Library Journal study, the average cost of an engineering journal is US$2,785. Using the same calculation method, the average price of an individual IEEE journal is just $905 – 68% lower than competing journals. $3,000 According to Library Journal (June $2,785 2013), the average cost of an $2,500 engineering journal was $2,785. But the cost of the average IEEE $2,000 journal was just $905. $1,500 $1,000 $905 Avg. Engineering Jrnl $500 Avg. IEEE Jrnl $0 A Proposal for the IEEE Xplore Digital Library Page 13
