Organizing Message from Committee SDA Convention 2019 Organizing Committee Chairperson Welcome to the SDA Convention 2019! Dr Shawn Goh This year, the theme “The Best of Everyday Dentistry” revisits the importance of the fundamentals of dentistry, amidst the Advisor ever-present allure of the glitz and glamour of dentistry today. Dr Lim Lii The Everyday Dentistry Series has been the backbone of SDA’s continuing dental education programmes for many years. Started during the term of one of our past Presidents, Dr Philip Goh, this Treasurer series was aimed at providing affordable continuing dental education Dr Guo Weidi lectures with practical impact and take away tips and skills that could be implemented easily in the clinic. For this year’s convention, there was a call from our President, Dr Lim Secretary Lii and past president Dr Kuan Chee Keong, to foster a deeper Dr Jeffrey Ng relationship between the Singapore Dental Association and our allied Societies and to strengthen the camaraderie among the dental profession. Scientific Chair Dr Kelvin Chua Building on these core principles, Dr Kelvin Chua, Scientific Chair, developed a program with generous support from our Allied Societies, featuring star speakers from each society.
