Remarkable Women in Transport 2021 Remarkable Women Women make up less than 20% of the global transport workforce. in Transport 2021 (ILOSTAT, 2019) The inclusion of women in the transportation sector is an economic imperative that’s critical to the sector’s growth and long-term sustainability. However, due to a systemic lack of awareness and exposure to career pathways, women continue to be underrepresented in transportation occupations. For decades, decision-making and transport-planning was done almost exclusively by men.
