Welcome to our Recovery College Welcome to the Western Trust Recovery College. We are pleased to announce details of our range of educational courses and workshops designed to promote wellbeing and recovery that will commence in March 2018. All our courses are written and delivered by people with lived experience of mental health issues alongside those with professional experience and knowledge. Courses at the Recovery College are open to all – those who use services, staff, carers and members of the general public and are free of charge. Our courses run in various community venues such as libraries and we aim for small class sizes, providing a warm and friendly approach to learning.

Recovery College Our Courses Our courses are split into 3 areas – Getting Started, Building on Your Learning and Continuing Your Journey. • ‘Getting Started’ – are courses/workshops that might be a good place to start if you aren’t sure what you would like to learn with us – but you don’t have to do these first. • ‘Building on Your Learning’ – courses/workshops that help you gain further knowledge and skills of mental health issues and self-management. • ‘Continuing Your Journey’ – are courses/workshops that will help prepare you for your next steps whether that is further education, volunteering, work, or perhaps becoming a peer trainer with the Recovery College.
All Recovery College students are invited to attend one of our Recovery Cafés which meet regularly in Enniskillen, Omagh and Strabane. We hope to have the Derry/ Londonderry Café up and running shortly. The cafes are a relaxed and informal way to meet fellow students and new friends, hear what’s happening at the College and find out about events in your local area. You can find out when the Café in your area is on from your workshop facilitator, or the Recovery College Co-ordinator. Everyone is welcome and we look forward to seeing you there!
