District Cancellation & Insurance Policy(1) The District has arranged blanket student travel coverage for all District approved international and national trips. The student travel policy provides accident and sickness coverage while traveling on school trips, and trip cancellation. Cancellation coverage provides protection when a student is unable to undertake or continue on the scheduled trip as a result of their own injury, sickness or death or that of an immediate family member; Where there is a concern related to student/staff safety the District reserves the right to cancel a trip up to and including the planned day of departure or recall a trip already in progress. Trip cancellation insurance may not provide coverage in this situation. There are no guarantees of refunds if at any time a student is no longer able to participate in trip, or if student breaches Student Code of Conduct prior to trip. For example, the airfare is paid in full several months prior to trip. The District will not be responsible for any reimbursement of lost funds as a result.
District Cancellation & Insurance Policy(2) The insurance policy does not provide coverage in relation to either the direct impact of a terrorist incident and/or delays in travel that may occur as a consequence and the unexpected expenses that result District Insurance (approx. $80 included in trip costs) https://www.inglegroups.com/usicoutbound
