2019 ORTHODONTICS MS C E DUCATIONAL P ROGRAM 2019 ORTHODONTICS, MSC EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM INTRODUCTION TO THE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM The aim of Orthodontics Educational Program is to improve the skills of the general dentists in their daily practice by the base of solid, scientific knowledge in order to provide safe, appropriate and efficient treatments. The program will continue for two years including MSc Master Diploma Modules from Marconi University in the directory of Istituto Stomatologico Toscano. This post-graduate master program is organized and directed by Implatech and Igor, Practical Implantology, IPL, SDA are the partnerships of this program for international organisation. Guglielmo Marconi University, is the first and still only private Italian university that is accredited in the United States! The University was recognized by the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research in 2004. In accordance with the Decree of March 1st 2004 published in the Official Gazette of the Italian Republic Marconi University was authorized to establish and give official title. Istituto Stomatologico Toscano, Istituto Stomatologico Toscano, founded in 1990 by Prof. Ugo Covani, is a non-profit foundation for clinic research and high education in dentistry. It organizes post graduate traning programs and refresher courses to dentists and dental hygenists as well as training for paramedics, using the wealth of experience almost 20 years of the courses, organized by many of the professionals working in the structure. ISTITUTO STOMATOLOGICO TOSCANO POSTGRADUATE SCHOOL OF DENTISTRY U NIVERSITY M ASTER D EGREE IN ORTHODONTICS, MS C II level Master Scientific Coordination Dr. Francesco Pedetta O R PRESENTATION OF THE MASTER T The aim of the Master is to offer participants a wide and updated view of the preventive H and therapeutic possibilities of modern Orthodontics, in an integrated multidisciplinary vision, O both on the theoretical and clinical level, extended from the early treatment to the orthodontics of the adult, with particular attention to the use of 3D technologies. D O The main objectives we set ourselves are: N • provide the essential knowledge to arrive at a correct diagnosis and a logical and consequential treatment plan in the orthodontic field; T • update the knowledge on the prevention of malocclusions in the developmental age; ı • acquire the commodity concepts and train the participants in the manual skills necessary to C undertake the clinical treatment of patients of all ages, with the practical implementation of the principles and techniques exhibited. S , In particular, all the issues related to orthodontics will be dealt with: the documentation of M clinical cases, the diagnosis, the long-term treatment plan, the phases therapy, the orthodontic biomechanics and its applications according to the various schools, the S modalities of action of the most common devices, the risk of relapse and the techniques of C retentions. Among the objectives of the Master there is also the mastery of the management of the adult patient, evaluated from an interdisciplinary point of view; in particular we will examine the principles of combined orthodontic, gnathologic, periodontal and prosthetic treatment up to the correction of severe skeletal dysmorphism through orthognathic surgery.
ISTITUTO STOMATOLOGICO TOSCANO POSTGRADUATE SCHOOL OF DENTISTRY Each therapeutic choice will be based on the search for the most effective, efficient, reliable, tolerable, safe and economical method, with the help of the presentation and discussion of numerous clinical cases with multi-year follow-up. Ample space will be dedicated to practical activities with a guided approach to specific diagnostic procedures and essential dexterities in the orthodontic clinic. In addition, students will be encouraged to present personal, properly documented clinical cases to be discussed collegially. Speakers and tutors are selected on the basis of their teaching skills and abilities, but O also on the basis of their willingness to share with their students their professional and human experience, in a perspective of common growth and not of pure and simple R learning of concepts . The participants will present 2 of their cases in 5 O min. to the faculty board. N *** The Master’s Thesis presentations should be delivered as 2 hard copies & 1 digital copy th to the university at the 8 Module in Rome. The participants will present their Master’s Thesis T in 15 min. ı *** The quiz assessments will be evaluated with the final exam. C S , M S C
2019 ORTHODONTICS MS C E DUCATIONAL P ROGRAM 2019 ORTHODONTICS, MSC EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM CONDITIONS AND DATES FOR EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM Language The courses will be conducted with English as the spoken language. Simultaneous translation by professionals will be available from English to Turkish. Number of Participants Min 20 Students – Max 30 Students Registration Deadline: 28th December 2018 The registrations will be directed upon the applications of the participants. When the number of participant reaches 30 seat, the registrations will be closed before the deadline date.
