Task 2 - You are going to look at the effect of imagery in poems. Draw pictures to go along with one of the poems from the slides. Task 3 - Choose a poem to analyse in more detail. Use the detective worksheet to fill in and analyse one or 2 of the poems in resources.
Maths Warm Up Worksheet/Activity Arithmetic LO: To find the percentage of amounts (Part 1) Answer all 5 questions. Today we will be focussing on fractions and percentages. We will be finding percentages of amounts but it might help you to think about what that percentage would be as a fraction. The important thing to remember is what the equivalent 1. Choose the correct level: Questions 1-4 Questions 1-6 Questions 1-6 and Extensions Hints and Tips Question 1 – Convert the fraction to an equivalent over 100 and your numerator will be the same as your percentage. Question 2 – Consider the bar model and percentage as a fraction and then convert this to a percentage. Question 3 – Consider the percentage as a fraction and how that would be represented as a bar model. Question 4 – Consider the equivalent fraction of the percentage, then divide by the denominator (see methodology above). Question 5 – Consider 25%, 50% and 10% as fractions.
