DESIGN An inspired design for a modern, regenerating city Introduction Te Pae Christchurch Convention Centre’s world- class design reflects the natural beauty and unique Destination New Zealand culture of the Canterbury region. Te Pae Christchurch Inspired by the Māori creation story – and designed Venue Spaces in collaboration with region’s local iwi Ngāi Tahu – Explore Christchurch the building pays homage to Canterbury’s iconic City of Innovation waterways, snow-capped mountains and flat, open plains.
