                  *NEW* COVID-19 Restrictions – Code Red Alert prolonged - until January 22, 2021
                  Please note that the entire province will maintain the Red Level Alert until at least January 22. Restrictions
                  on religious gatherings and the functioning of our churches have not changed, however. Therefore, no
                  religious gatherings are permitted. To read the latest version of the document, Code Red Alert COVID-19
                  Clarifications for Parishes, please click here.

                                      *NEW* Together, we have surpassed the Good Shepherd Campaign objective!
                                      In fact, the Archdiocese of Saint Boniface has collected more than $375,000 in support
                                      of the 2020 Good Shepherd Campaign ending on January 31, 2021. We have surpassed
                                      the goal of $275,000 set in the fall by $100,000. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the
                                      1,055 donors who contributed to the campaign and to the parishes that promoted it.
                                      Thanks to you, the Archdiocese’s deficit for the fiscal year of February 1, 2020, through
                                      January 31, 2021, will be less than what was projected in the early months of the
                                      pandemic. Further details about the campaign results will be published in the
                                      Archdiocese of Saint Boniface’s annual report.
                                      The donations collected through the campaign are used to support the formation and
                                      pastoral internship program of our seminarians and the archdiocesan response to the
COVID-19 pandemic in support of its parishes. For further information on the 2020 Good Shepherd Campaign, please click on

                                          *NEW* Week of Prayer for Christian Unity – January 18 – 24, 2021
                                          Every year, during the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, Christian communities
                                          and churches join together to pray for the visible unity of the Church, according to
                                          the will of Christ who prayed on the eve of his suffering and death “that they may all
                                          be one… so that the world may believe” (John 17:21). Prayer for Christian unity is a
                                          sharing in the prayer of Jesus who desires his disciples to share the Good News of
                                          God’s love in every time and place.
                                          Our customary way of marking the Week of Prayer here in Winnipeg with a City-
                                          Wide Ecumenical Service and other services throughout the week has been
                                          curtailed this year due to the current COVID-19 pandemic. Nevertheless, we are still
                                          invited to practice a heightened “spiritual ecumenism” during this annual weeklong
                                          observance, even if the form of our public and private praying for unity must be
                                          adapted to the circumstances in which we find ourselves.

WPCU BIBLE STUDY 2021: A daily Bible study on the theme of the 2021 Week of Prayer for Christian Unity will be held
Monday, January 18 to Monday, January 25 from 12:15 - 1:00 pm CST (except Sunday, January 24 at 1:00 pm CST). To
register, click here. Hosted by the Prairie Centre for Ecumenism and the Regina Council of Churches, this study is free and
open to all. A different Christian leader will guide us each day as we explore the theme "Abide in my love and you shall bear
much fruit" (John 15:5-9).
WPCU ONLINE ECUMENICAL SERVICE:                      You might also want to register for the WPCU Online Ecumenical
Service planned by the Canadian Centre for Ecumenism (Montréal) on Sunday, January 24 at 3:00 pm (EST). The service is

Women and children in shelters are still in desperate need of mittens, scarves, hats, and socks in spite of COVID-19.
Until the end of January, the Catholic Women’s League will gladly be accepting donations through the parish office

Are you searching for more meaning, direction, and power in your life? Are you looking to improve your relationship with God?

The Men’s Faith Sharing Group from St. Emile’s Parish meets every Saturday morning at 7AM (currently via Zoom) and are

inviting you to join. Our next chapter in “That Man Is You” (Jan.16 – April 17 ) is entitled “Becoming a Man After God’s Own
Heart”. It will lead us into a Lenten journey, helping and challenging us to a deeper conversion, and encounter with God. We
will be identifying three main temptations in spiritual life and explore ways to put into place a spiritual plan of life. These
sessions are intended to awaken in each of us our faith and encourage men to a greater leadership and service within our
families and community.
Each session is divided into 3 parts: fellowship; teaching; and small group discussion. Led by a team of 6 local Catholic men,
be assured that the dynamics are inspiring in both large and small group settings.
