Mini Exodus Fitness Class Happy Friday Parents, we hope you have a lovely weekend! This morning Xavian did a little exercise fitness class with the Zebras. Xavian’s par- ents own and run a gym called ‘Exodus Fitness’ and that’s were Xavian gets his love for fitness from. First Xavian got the children to touch their toes and balance on 1 foot to warm up, then he got them to do squats, lunges and star jumps. When he finished his exercise class Xavian got the children to do some cool down stretches. Xavian got the children to do the splits and to stretch out their arms by putting their hands above their heads! -Miss Caitlyn LO 1.1 —Children feel safe, secure and supported LO 3.2—Children take increasing responsibility for their own health and physical wellbeing
Recognising our Names! Before we had morning tea, the chil- dren were asked to pack up all the toys. Miss Sam was so happy to see the children put on effort to clean the outside yard and decided to give them a lolli as reward. Miss Sam brought the name cards, randomly pick out one and asked the children to rise up their hand if they knew that the card belong to them. Most of the children could recognise their name and some of them with a little help. At the end, all the children had their lolli and after that they went to the bath room to wash their hands before having morning tea. LO 1.3 — Children develop knowledgeable and confident self- identities
Chinese Class I noticed that the children liked to sing “Two Ti- gers” and that’s why we started our Chinese class with this song. “I’ve grown up” was an- other popular song. When I asked them what could they do to “prove” that they have grown up? William said he could brush his own teeth, Calvin told me he could wear his own shoes and Zoe said she could comb her own hair. Today we had two teachers who stood in front and taught us something. Emma presented us a children poem twice. For the second time, we all read after Emma. Our second little teacher was Lan- ning. He sang us “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star” in Mandarin. We all gave them a big crap! Well done and thank you for your presentation. Of cause we did some revision for all the lesson we learnt before so that they could remember. -Miss Ju LO 1.1 —Children feel safe, secure and supported LO 4.2—Children develop a range of skills and processes such as problem solving, enquiry, experimentation, hypothesising, re- searching and investigating
Dinosaur Egg! To extend on the children’s interest in dinosaurs today for art the children made a dinosaur egg. The Zebras had to cover their egg print out with glue before stick- ing on green circles to make it look like more like a dino- saur egg. Then the children picked 2 colours and had to put blobs of paint onto their print out triceratops then they had to fold their paper in half and mash the colours together! Once the children’s art dries Miss Caitlyn will put the dinosaur inside the egg! -Miss Caitlyn LO 4.1—Children develop dispositions for learning such as curiosity, cooperation, confidence, creativ- ity, commitment, enthusiasm, persistence, imagination and reflexivity
