Dr Rip’s Science of the Surf DATE: Friday Talk at Clovelly 10 January $5 PER PERSON TIMES: 1pm – 2pm This fascinating, entertaining and multiple award winning presentation by Australia’s PLACE: best known surf scientist, Dr Rob Brander Clovelly Surf is not to be missed. Lifesaving Club Nicknamed ‘Dr Rip’ because of his habit of throwing purple dye into rip currents, the presentation covers how beaches work, how to spot deadly rip currents, and importantly how to get out of one and why rock fishing is the most dangerous sport in Australia. Keep safe in the surf this summer and understand your favourite beach better by learning how to ‘read’ the conditions of the beach and surf by attending this informative and entertaining presentation. Six randomly chosen attendees will receive a free copy of Dr Rip’s Essential Beach Book. Sit & relax 5

La Perouse Discovery DATE: Thursday Cultural Tour 16 January $10 PER PERSON TIME: 9.30am – 11.30am Learn from our expert guides about the Aboriginal culture at La Perouse PLACE: (Guriwal).
