Easter Art Draw a picture of something that is linked to Easter or Spring – it could be a rabbit, an Easter egg, a lamb, a flower, or anything else that you can think of. Using a ruler, draw straight lines over your picture to separate it into sections and then use different colours to colour in each of the sections. Think carefully about how you will use the colours to make your artwork look effective and eye-catching.
Easter Crafts Patterned Easter bunny You can design your own patterned rabbit to go on the front of an Easter card or as a piece of Easter artwork. To do this you can use the template below and create patterns between each set of lines and even give your rabbit a pair of fantastic glasses to wear!
Sock Bunny Rabbits (found at: https://feelingnifty.com/easter-bunny-craft/?20190512 ) Resources you will need.
Steps 1) Fill the sock with rice (putting the sock over a cup may help to make this easier.) 2) Use 1 rubber band to tie the sock at the top.
3) Use another elastic band to create the head and body 4) Use a final elastic band to create a little tail for your bunny.
5) Create the ears by cutting down the middle of the top of the sock and drawing the ear shape. 6) Then cut off the excess material to create the ears (If you want your bunny to have floppy ears then leave them longer).
7) Use a pen to draw your bunny’s features. 8) If you have ribbon available use this as a finishing touch by tying in a bow around your bunny’s neck. If you have other odd socks you could make a range of different sock rabbits!

Fizzy Frozen Easter Eggs What you need : Egg shaped mould Bicarbonate of soda Small toy Food colouring Vinegar What to do Add some food colouring to water and pour into moulds – add some bicarbonate of soda to the ones you want to be fizzy. Put a small toy into the mould. Freeze until hard. When you remove from the freezer : How can you help the toy escape from the egg ? What happens if you put warm water on ? What happens if you put vinegar on ? The Science : when you add an acid (vinegar) to an alkali (bicarbonate of soda) a chemical reaction happens. They neutralise each other and produce a gas – carbon dioxide. https://www.science-sparks.com/fizzy-frozen-easter-eggs/ If you would like to try a bit more Easter themed science have a look here https://www.science-sparks.com/easter-stem-challenges/ This looks like fun !
Excellent Easter Games 1. PIN RABBIT TAILS Get large pom poms (or some cotton wool) and attach double sided tape to each of them. Instruct the players to attach/stick rabbit tails (pom poms) to one another. Whoever ends up with most tails after 5 minutes of playing looses the game. 2. THE TREAT ROPE Tie a rope between two trees (or let two people hold it). String some donuts or cookies (or any other sweet treat that has a hole) onto the rope. Make sure the rope is above mouth level. The players have to eat entire treat without it falling on the ground. No hands! 3. EGG PUSH This Easter family game is lots of fun. Each player needs to roll the egg with their nose (without using any other parts of their body) from start to finish. Whoever does it first – wins the race.
4. EASTER EGG PINATA Have a go at making your own Easter piñata and fill it with yummy prizes! Step by step instructions on how to do so can be found here: https://fabulesslyfrugal.com/diy/how‐to‐make‐an‐easter‐egg‐pinata/
Sock Bunnies • A pair of scissors • Tape • A few cups of rice • Twine • A sock • A ribbon • A marker pen Take your sock and fill its toe with rice. You may consider using the large tape tube to help keep the mouth of the sock open, while others may use a funnel while pouring the rice. This will prevent you from spilling the rice on the floor. Fill the sock to the beginning of the heel so that it can stand by itself. Ensure that the toe has more rice than the upper top. However, ensure to form a well-shaped cylinder. Squeeze from the heel to form a small round head and a bigger body. This helps to distinguish between your bunny’s body parts. In addition, leave some space at the top of the sock for the ears. Use the twine to tie the upper part of the heel. This will distinguish between the head and the ears. Cut off the remaining upper part of the heel using your pair of scissors. This will make beautiful oval-shaped ears. However, get them to look symmetrical. Ensure that you trim off unnecessary material from the sock that would make the ears appear deformed. Use the ribbon and the twine to tie the middle of the head and body. The ribbon should appear at the top to make it look appealing. Ensure that the ribbon’s color can match with the sock’s colour. Take the marker and make two small dots that make the eyes and an X to make the mouth. Ensure that
they are evenly spaced. You can also add a small tail for the bunny. Pinch a small part of the sock bunny’s body from the toe and use your twine to make the tail. You can also use a small cotton ball to make the tail if using the other method does not work for you.

Paper Bunny Puppets! Materials Needed: Coloured Paper Scissors Glue Stick Markers (I used Sharpies because I like using them, but normal markers or crayons would work great too!) How to Make Bunny Puppets: Step 1: Take your sheet of paper and fold it in half lengthwise. Step 2: Open up your fold, then fold both sides of the paper to meet in the crease made in step 1. Step 3: Fold your paper in half lengthwise again. (It will now be half the width.) Step 4: Now fold your paper in half the other way. Step 5: Open it up to reveal a crease in the middle. Step 6: Again, fold both sides to the middle crease. Step 7: Now fold your paper in half along the middle crease. It should look like this: You now have a puppet that you can stick your fingers into. Now let's decorate! Draw on the face and the tongue. Also, cut out two ears and some teeth. Glue on the ears.
