MIGUTRANS installation instruction FSS 215 1. Making the recess The concrete surface must be clean, dry, dust-free and load-bearing. The recess should be about 300 mm wide and about 30 mm deep. The profile must be cleaned with a degreasing solvent, e.g. acetone, before installation. 2. Creating the leveling layer To compensate for unevenness in the raw concrete floor, an approx. 10 cm wide smooth coat of epoxy resin mortar must be applied on both sides of the joint. 2
MIGUTRANS Einbauanleitung FSS 215 3. Placing the expansion joint cover in the levelinng layer The expansion joint cover must be levelled into the still fresh mortar at the correct height. To prevent the smoothing material from sinking into the joint, the joint filler plate should protrude from the joint by at least the thickness of the smoothing material. Care must be taken to ensure that the fixing legs are free of voids and fully lined. In order to achieve the necessary compressive strength and a good bond to the building structure, it is essential to use an epoxy resin mortar for the smooth screed. 4.1. Connecting individual lengths (if necessary) Now push in the enclosed pieces of the clamping rails laterally. 3

Connecting individual lengths (if necessary) Afterwards, move the pieces in the channel to ensure that a connection is created that is at the same level and on the same side. Then push or remove the pieces to the next length. 4

Preparing the attachment After hardening, the fixing legs of the joint cover are dowelled vibration-free to the side of the movement joint with the raw concrete ceiling. Please use Heco MMS-plus SS 10 X 90 vz. concrete screws or another anchor from the standard anchoring list published on our website. When using this screw with hexagonal head, use a thin screwdriver nut. The length of the anchor depends on the required clamping thickness (mortar layer + width of the expansion joint cover leg). Anchoring is carried out at intervals of 300mm. Make sure that the drill screwdriver is positioned vertically. Afterwards the drill holes are to be cleaned according to the instructions of the screw manufacturer. 6. Mounting Turn in the screws according to the instructions of the screw manufacturer in order to secure the expansion joint cover. 5
MIGUTRANS Einbauanleitung FSS 215 7. Removing of spacers The factory-mounted spacers must be removed immediately after fixing the joint covers. . 8. Mounting the clamp rails Now hammer the clamping rails with a rubber mallet. To protect the joint cover, place the enclosed yellow protective tape (not shown) onto the surface of the joint cover. 6

Removing protective tape The protective tape must be removed at the end of the construction period. Deviations from the technical details described above in the execution of the procedures are permitted if equivalent quality results are obtained by other means.
