Measures in relation to Covid-19 & travel restrictions

Covid-19 status: Spain / Catalonia / Baix Penedès county
According to the officially released data, during the 14-day period ending 16th March:
At national level, Spain registered an average of cases 127 / 100,000 inhabitants
At regional level, Catalonia registered an average of 158 cases / 100,000 inhabitants
At county level, Baix Penedès (where IDIADA is situated) registered an average of 71 cases /
100,000 inhabitants

Covid-19 status summary
Exceptional measures and mobility restrictions at national and regional level are in place in order to
maintain the capacity of the national health system
A national Covid-19 vaccination scheme was successfully launched throughout Spain in December and
continues to gather pace
IDIADA continues to guarantee a safe environment in order to protect all clients, visitors and staff
working at our premises during the current health situation

Spain entry requirements
Entry requirements upon arrival at Spanish airports are as follows:
Spanish borders are open to EU/Schengen members
Persons from ‘risk’ countries, as determined by the European Centre for
Disease Prevention & Control are required to provide evidence of a negative
PCR, TNA or LAMP test taken within no more than 72 hours prior to arrival,
in order to enter the country
Arrivals will need to present the FCS authorization form and QR code
(official app available via www.spth.gob.es), undergo a temperature check
and visual inspection by medical staff
Travelers should confirm with their consulate and airline regarding
current conditions for returning to country of origin
Travelers arriving to Spain by land via France must follow requirements for
entering and transiting French territory

Travelers from non-EU/Schengen countries should confirm with their consulate and airline regarding
current restrictions to enter Spain and conditions for returning to country of origin

Covid-19 containment measures
Mobility is only permitted within the Catalonia
autonomous region
Restrictions are still in place for crossing regional
borders with other autonomous regions of Spain, although
work activities are exempt
IDIADA can provide a mobility certificate in order to
provide authorities with justification if required. Please

Covid-19 containment measures
The Catalonian government has put into place a system to vary the containment measures and
restrictions applied in the region
Restaurants are permitted to operate at a limited capacity from 07:30h until 17:00h. Many
restaurants offer a take-away/delivery service for evening meals. Hotels are also open as normal
A night-time curfew remains in force from 22:00h to 6:00h. During this time, all persons must stay in
their place of accommodation (home, hotel, etc.) from 22:00h onwards and may not leave before 6:00h
without clear justification
The wearing of facemasks is obligatory in all public areas and social gatherings are limited to a
maximum of 6 people

PCR and antibody testing service
To assist our clients, IDIADA provides a PCR and antibody testing service in order to satisfy entry
requirements for some countries
PCR testing conducted at local health authorities’ appointed laboratories is available for clients as required
upon return to their home countries. Tests results will be provided within 48h

Additionally, as part of the internal safety protocols,
IDIADA operates both antibody (IgM and IgG) and
antigen (Ag) test services available to all employees,
clients and visitors. All IDIADA staff are encouraged to
be tested on regular basis

Additional technical support and remote testing services
IDIADA’s technicians, engineers, workshop mechanics and
test drivers are on hand to assist with client’s development
programs, either remotely or by providing direct support
to your onsite testing team
IDIADA’s live streaming and remote testing services are
a cost-effective solution to keep your testing activities
running in times of travel restrictions due to Covid-19
A key factor of this service is to permit the client control of
the whole testing process and be able to provide input
during testing, including during the set up of
instrumentation
IDIADA has put in place various communication and safe
data-transfer tools to keep a constant communication flow
between client and the IDIADA team
