There is a magic inherent in Heidelberg which draws millions of people from around the world

Botanical Garden Heidelberg
The Botanical Gardens of the University of Heidelberg, one of the
oldest in Germany, were originally established in 1593 as a “hortus
medicus“ for the cultivation of medical herbs. Nowadays, this in
stitution is important for its contribution to botanical studies. The
greenhouses contain unique plant collections (e.g. Old and New
World succulents and orchids). Walking along the outdoor sections,
visitors can enjoy the fascinating vegetation of the raised bog, heath
