X-RAY TAUPO HOSPITAL GP AFTER HOURS INFORMATION TAUPŌ Taupo GP’s are on-call from 5p to 10p weeknights and 8am-10pm sat and sun. Taupo does not offer walk in x-rays. All patients must ring and make appointments. Chest x-rays are performed within 24hrs unless otherwise stated. When THUMBS UP patient requires a Chest x-ray please give the request form to patient to make appointment and bring to Radiology DO NOT also fax/email the requests forms to radiology as well. Only fax/email a CXR request if you are requesting an appointment to be booked for a later date. We also have text alerts in place. The text alerts will be sent to all patients with a valid mobile phone number 2 days prior to their appointments. This will hopefully reduce the amount of DNA’s that we experience. He said Andy strongly supported good clinical governance and how clinicians can have input in the decision making process in the organisation. Nick noted Andy’s leadership along with Barbara Hochstein and Greg Hunt in the early days of the department when reviews were done and decisions had to be made about the best model of our community.
