Grafton Recreation Important Information GENERAL POLICIES • Programs are offered to Grafton and non-Grafton residents. • All programs offered on a first come, first serve basis. • All registrations are due no later than one week prior to the start of the program, unless otherwise stated. • Registrants may only sign up themselves or immediate family members only. Confirmation of enrollment in a program will be sent via e-mail upon the completion of registration. • We do not discriminate based on race, religion, color, nationality, origin, sexual orientation or persons with disabilities. • The Recreation Department is not responsible for lost, misplaced, or stolen items. • No electronic devices of any kind are allowed in any program. No cell phones. • The Recreation Department cannot dispense medication. Please make arrangements if your child needs medication. • The Recreation Department and/or press will take photos of programs for publicity purposes. • Additional waiver forms may be required based on vendor. • We reserve the right to cancel, change or consolidate classes when necessary. • Each program has age requirements which will be strictly enforced. • Parents/guardians are responsible for signing in and out their child on a daily basis. • It is the parents/guardians responsibility to pick up your child on time. First offense is a warning, second offense $10.00 per 15 minutes late. • Any staff member may ask that your child stay home if there are behavioral issues. • Please apply sunscreen to your child prior to attending any program and bring additional sunscreen in a backpack. Staff will remind your child/ children to reapply sunscreen. But will not be able to apply sun screen to your child / children. Scholarships are available only to Grafton residents. Applications are available in the Recreation Office and online at graftonrec.com. REFUND/CREDIT POLICY The Recreation Office must be notified in writing or via e-mail no later than 10 days prior to start of program requesting your withdrawal and refund/credit request. Refunds/credits are not issued if the participant misses any portion of the program. If your withdrawal effects the status of the program (ie. the number of participants drops below the minimum to run), and we are unable to fill your spot, you may only be eligible for up to a 25% refund or credit. Credits will be issued when written notice is given no later than 10 days prior to the start of the program. The credit is a household credit and valid for 6 months. Credits may be subject to a $10 processing fee. Refunds are only issued: If the class is cancelled due to low enrollment . Due to a medical reason (a doctor’s note is required). Partial/pro-rated refunds will be issued after a program has started. If there is a waiting list for the program and we are able to fill your spot. Refund is subject to a $20 processing fee. Other refund requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and if issued, are subject to a $20 processing fee. Credit card processing fees cannot be refunded. CANCELLATION POLICY Classes are cancelled if Grafton Public Schools are closed due to weather. If a class needs to be cancelled due to weather, you will be notified via e-mail no later than 1 hour prior to the start of the program. Efforts will be made to makeup classes due to weather, but are not guaranteed. If a class is cancelled due to an illness/absence of an instructor, efforts are made to hold a make-up class. If a participant is unable to participate in the make-up class, a refund/credit will not be offered. If a make-up class cannot be held, you will be issued your choice of a refund or credit for the pro-rated amount. WAITING LIST POLICY If you are placed on a waiting list, and you are informed a spot has opened and you agree to take it, you will have 24 hours from being notified to make payment. If payment is not received within the timeframe, the open spot becomes available to the next waiting list participant. Registration closes 1 week before program starts

PRE-SCHOOL/TOT At Super Soccer Stars, we teach soccer skills in a fun, non-competitive, educa- tional environment. Our philosophy is to use soccer to nurture, to build self- confidence, and to develop teamwork in every class. Our specially designed curricula use positive reinforcement and a low child-to-coach ratio to ensure that each child improves at his or her own rate while having endless fun. YOUTH: SPORTS Learn to ski or snowboard in a group lesson atmosphere with similar ages and abilities or just join us for an afternoon of outdoor winter fun. This program is held once a week, for 5 consecutive weeks, with any needed make-up days held at the end of the program. You can choose between either a 1-hour lesson with 1-hour of free ski/snowboard time or two hours of free ski/snowboard time. YOUTH: SPORTS This program offers boys and girls the opportunity to learn the fundamental skills of basketball and to put those skills to use playing games in a recreational setting. No experience is necessary. The program runs from December 2019 - March 2020. Fee include shirts, referees, and school’s usage fees. The league is coordinated by Don Cargill. Player evaluations will be held the last week of October/1st week of November. Dates and times will be announced by late September. PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU ARE REGISTERING FOR MULTIPLE PROGRAMS, YOU MUST SELECT THE HIGHER PRICED PROGRAM FIRST. (IE. PAY $110 FOR GRADES 4-9 AND THEN $40 FOR GRADES 1-3) GRADES 1-3 This is a coed league held for 1st-3rd graders. Skills, drills and games will be held during the hour. Days: Fridays Time: 1st Grade - 5:30pm, 2nd Grade - 6:30pm, 3rd Grade - 7:30pm Session 1: Dec. 6, 2019 - Jan. 24, 2020 (no 12/20, 12/27) Session 2: Feb. 7 - March 20, 2020 (no 2/21) Cost: $50/1st child, $40/for each additional child ONE SESSION ALLOWED PER CHILD GRADES 4-9 This league is for boys in grades 4-9 and girls in grades 4-6. There will be separate divisions for boys and girls. Teams will be comprised of players from grades 4 through 6, and 7th through 9th grade. Player evalua- tions will be conducted prior to team assignments. Practice and game times will be announced before the season starts. Days/Times: Practices will be held once per week. Each team will be assigned a specific weeknight to prac- tice; Monday through Thursday. Weekly games are held on Saturdays. Cost: $110/1st child, $85/each additional child GRADES 7-12 (GIRLS) Days/Times: Practice and games will be held on Monday nights from 6 - 7:30pm and possibly out of town on Saturdays. Before the season starts a schedule of definitive practice nights/game days will be posted. Cost: $100/1st child, $75/each additional child High School Varsity players are not eligible to play. GRADES 10-12 (BOYS) Days/Times: Practice and games will be held one night a week (TBD). Cost: $50/1st child, $40/each additional child High School Varsity players are not eligible to play.
