1. Welcome

Thank you for offering to join us as a Goodwood Motorsport Volunteer.

The purpose of this pack is to provide you with useful information about volunteering at Goodwood.

We would ask that you read the entire pack so that you are familiar with all of the material it contains.

If you have any queries regarding any of the information included in this starter pack, please do not hesitate to contact us
at event.staffing@goodwood.com or on 01243 755051.

We look forward to you joining us in 2018.

Yours sincerely,

Elle and Laura
The Event Staffing Team

                                                                                                                               4
2. Being a Volunteer
2.1 Why Be a Volunteer?
        Any time outside of the shift is yours to catch all of the action, explore the event and soak up the atmosphere
        Parking is available and a camping pitch can be requested by those living over 30 miles away
        You will be provided with a lunch bag and water whilst on your volunteer shift

2.2 What Does Being a Volunteer Involve?
        You will be required to undertake one 6/7 hour unpaid shift, either AM or PM, on each event day
        A fully-refundable deposit will be taken before your first shift, equal to the value of an adult weekend ticket
        (£138-£184 depending on event). This is to prevent the unfortunate minority that exploit the free entry with their
        wristband and do not arrive for their volunteer shift. Providing that all shifts have been completed, the deposit
        will be refunded after your last volunteer shift

2.3 Before Volunteering
To join us as a volunteer we require you to register for an account on Shiftboard (www.shiftboard.com/goodwoodevents).
You must complete all of the relevant fields and upload a copy of your passport to Shiftboard.

2.3.1 Valid Asylum and Immigration Documents
To comply with legislation, we require all volunteers to have the right to work in the UK. The most commonly accepted
document to prove the right to work is a valid UK passport. Alternatively, your birth certificate accompanied by an official
document containing your National Insurance number (NINO card, previous payslip or HMRC correspondence). If you
are unable to provide any of these documents please contact the Event Staffing Team to see if there are acceptable
alternatives.

2.4 Being Placed In a Volunteer Role
After providing us with your availability on Shiftboard, we will aim to inform you as soon as possible if you have been
placed in a volunteer role. If you have been placed, you will receive an email notifying you that you have been allocated a
shift on Shiftboard. When you log-in to Shiftboard, you will be able to view all of the events and shifts you have been
scheduled for.

2.5 If You Are No Longer Able To Volunteer
Whilst you are under no obligation to volunteer with us, it would be helpful if you could notify us as early as possible if
you are no longer available.

2.6 Change of Personal Details
If your personal or contact details change, please update them on Shiftboard immediately.

2.7 Camping
Those living over 30 miles from Goodwood are eligible to request a camping pitch, subject to availability. Goodwood
provides a non-electric camping pitch that has communal toilets and showers, so you are responsible for bringing all of
your camping equipment, including a tent and food. There is a shuttle that will run from the campsite so please familiarise
yourself with the timings and pick-up and drop-off points on arrival.

As space is limited, if you are volunteering with a friend or family member, we ask that where possible you share a pitch. If
you require camping, please ensure you select this on Shiftboard when inputting your availability.

2.8 Deposit
Volunteers will be required to have a fully-refundable deposit taken, equal to the value of an adult weekend ticket (£138-
£184 depending on event), to prevent people exploiting their wristband to gain entry and not arriving for their volunteer
shift. The deposit is taken using a PDQ machine and both debit and credit cards are acceptable.

If you do not have sufficient funds in your account, you will not be issued with a wristband and you will not be able to
volunteer.

                                                                                                                              5
Providing that all shifts have been completed, the deposit will be returned when you pass back through Staff HQ after
your last volunteer shift. Please ensure that you do pass back through Staff HQ or the return of your deposit may be
significantly delayed.

3. Policies for Volunteers at Goodwood
As a volunteer with the Goodwood Group, we require that you comply with the policies which apply to all those who join
us. These are set out in this Handbook and also in the Group Health and Safety Policy.

3.1 Equal Opportunities Policy
The Company is an equal opportunities organisation. This means that we will treat every volunteer, casual worker,
customer and employee with dignity and respect. We strive to be fair and just. We undertake to promote equality and
diversity in all aspects of its work. We will endeavor not to discriminate unfairly or illegally, directly or indirectly, against
volunteers, casual workers, employees or workers. The responsibility for upholding this commitment is shared by, and is
intended to benefit, every volunteer, employee and casual worker, as well as suppliers and customers.

We will fulfil our commitment to equal opportunity by:
        Recognising our legal obligation under all relevant Acts of Parliament and Regulations.
        Periodic review of our selection criteria and procedures to maintain a system where individuals or casual workers
        are selected, promoted and treated on the basis of their relevant aptitudes, skills and abilities.
        Ensuring that all future policies and procedures are developed in strict accordance with this Policy.
        Distributing and publicising this Policy statement to volunteers.
        Providing facilities for any volunteers who believes that he / she has been unfairly treated to raise the matter
        through the Complaints procedure

3.2 Bullying And Harassment Policy
We are committed to creating and maintaining a harmonious environment. We will not tolerate intimidation, coercion or
harassment of any kind. We view very seriously any kind of bullying or harassment and any activities which may adversely
affect an individual’s welfare. This Policy applies equally to everyone and all volunteers, casual workers, agency workers,
employees and third parties connected to the Company have a responsibility to comply.

Under the law, individuals can be personally liable for their actions and can be personally liable to pay compensation for
bullying or harassment. In more serious cases, bullying or harassment may constitute criminal offences.

You should report any incident(s) to the Event Staffing Team and you may be asked to co-operate in an investigation. The
Company would expect a complaint to be made as soon as possible and certainly within three months of the alleged
incident. There will be no retaliation against any person who makes a claim of harassment or who takes part in an
investigation.

3.3 Smoking Policy
These rules apply to all volunteers, casual workers, visitors or customers on the Company’s premises, and they apply at all
times.

No employee, volunteer, casual worker, visitor or customer may smoke in any office, building, temporary structure or
similar which is used by them.

Volunteers are not permitted to smoke where they may be seen by visitors to any part of the Estate.

Designated smoking breaks are not part of the arrangement you have with Goodwood.

On return from a smoking break, you must ensure that your hands are washed (where food hygiene is a consideration) and
that you take steps to avoid other volunteers, casual workers, customers, employees or visitors detecting the smell of
smoke.

We do not permit smoking in company vehicles. You may smoke in vehicles that you own as long as no other volunteer,
employee or child is in the vehicle with you.

                                                                                                                                    6
You should be aware that it is a criminal offence to smoke in smoke-free areas. Customers or visitors who are smoking in
smoke-free areas should be reminded of the no-smoking rules and asked to stop. If they continue to smoke, you should
politely explain that they are committing a criminal offence and ask them again to stop smoking.

3.3.1 eCigarettes

We support volunteers who are giving up smoking however the above applies to eCigarettes.

3.4 Environmental Commitment
The Company recognises that it has a role to play in promoting sustainable development in business. It is the Company’s
aim to manage operations in ways that are environmentally sustainable, economically feasible and socially responsible. In
pursuit of this aim, all volunteers should co-operate and actively contribute to help us become a more sustainable
enterprise. This could include:

        Minimising the negative impact of the Company on the environment by operating in an environmentally friendly
        way where possible. This may include car sharing with other volunteers on the same shift or disposing of your
        lunch litter responsibly
        Reducing the financial spend of our working area. This includes being respectful of the equipment used in your
        role, minimising the cost of repairs and replacements
        Ensuring the social impact of our work is positive. Be professional, friendly and respectful to both colleagues and
        customers, raising morale and engagement

3.5 Searching of You or Your Property
The Company reserves the right to search your person or any of your property at any time if there are reasonable grounds
for this. . The search will, if requested by you, be carried out in the presence of a third person.

3.6 Health and Safety
The Company operates a Health and Safety Policy, which may be changed from time to time. The policy is available from
your supervisor and you should ensure that you are familiar with its contents. You must comply fully with any Health and
Safety rules or regulations notified to you. Any breach or failure to comply with it may render you personally liable for
injury to any third party or Goodwood employee.

3.7 Data Protection Policy
The Company needs to process certain information about its volunteers to allow it to monitor volunteering history,
achievements, and health and safety. To comply with the law, information must be collected and used fairly, stored safely
and not disclosed to any other person unlawfully. To do this, the Company must comply with the Data Protection
principles that are set out in the Data Protection Act 1998.

The Company or volunteers, employees or others who process or use any personal information must ensure that they
follow these principles at all times.

3.7.1 Complaints about the Data Protection Policy
If you believe that the Policy has not been followed in respect of personal data you should raise the matter initially with
the designated Data Controller. If the matter is not resolved it may be taken further in accordance with the Company’s
Whistle Blowing Procedure, details of which can be obtained from your manager.

3.7.2 Complying with the Data Protection Policy
All volunteers and employees are responsible for complying with these guidelines, checking that any information that they
provide to the Company in connection with their employment or course of study is accurate and up to date and informing
the Company of any changes to information which they have provided, e.g. changes of address. You should be aware that
it is a criminal offence to access or disclose personal data held by the Company without authority.

3.7.3 Requesting To See Personal Data Held
Volunteers have the right to access any personal data that is being kept about them either on computer or in ‘structured
files’ (i.e. they may make a Subject Access Request). Any person who wishes to exercise this right should make a request
in writing for access to their Personal Data and send it to the Data Controller. The Company may make a charge for each
Subject Access Request, in accordance with the Data Protection Act. We aim to deal with Subject Access Requests as

                                                                                                                              7
quickly as possible, but will ensure that in any event, a response is provided within 40 days of the receipt of the request
and the payment of the correct fee.

3.7.4 Statement of Purposes for Holding of Personal Data
Personal Data relating to individuals should not be held or used otherwise than for the purposes set out below:
        Making contact with individuals concerned in the course of business;
        Maintaining records or carrying out analyses of trends;
        Pensions administration;
        Provision of references;
        Offering services to the individuals concerned;
        Purchasing services from the individuals concerned;
        Providing information to those who may need it in connection with the services being provided to the Company;
        Undertaking necessary administrative and financial functions e.g. in connection with invoicing;
        Undertaking promotional and publicity activities;
        For purposes required by law or regulatory requirement.

3.8 ANTI BRIBERY & CORRUPTION POLICY
The Company values its reputation for ethical behaviour and financial probity and reliability. It recognises that over and
above the commission of any crime, any involvement in bribery will adversely affect its image and reputation. All officers,
workers and representatives of the Group are expected to act honestly, with integrity and within the law.
This policy aims to protect the reputation of the Group, protect workers from accusations of impropriety, ensure that all
clients and suppliers are dealt with on an equal basis, avoid any potential conflicts between workers’ private interests and
professional duties and instil a strong anti-corruption culture in the Group. The policy applies to all workers and officers
of the Group, and to temporary workers, consultants, contractors, agents and subsidiaries acting for, or on behalf of, the
Group ("associated persons”) within the UK and overseas.
The Group may face criminal liability for unlawful actions taken by its workers or associated persons under the Bribery
Act 2010. All workers and associated persons are required to familiarise themselves and comply with this policy, including
any future updates that may be issued from time to time by the Group.

3.8.1 The Bribery Act 2010 - what is prohibited?
Under the Act, a bribe is a financial or other type of advantage that is offered or requested with the:
Intention of inducing or rewarding improper performance of a function or activity; or
Knowledge or belief that accepting such a reward would constitute the improper performance of such a
function or activity.

A criminal offence will be committed under the Bribery Act 2010 if:

        A worker or associated person offers, promises, gives, requests, receives or agrees to receive bribes; or
        A worker or associated person offers, promises or gives a bribe to a foreign public official with the intention of
        influencing that official in the performance of his/her duties; and
        The Group does not have the defence that it has adequate procedures in place to prevent bribery by its workers or
        associated persons.

The Group prohibits workers or associated persons from offering, promising, giving, soliciting or accepting any bribe. The
bribe might be cash, a gift or other inducement to, or from, any person or company (that is, a public or government
official, official of a state-controlled industry, political party or a private person or company) regardless of whether the
worker or associated person is situated in the United Kingdom or overseas.
This prohibition also applies to indirect contributions, or bribes through consultants, contractors or sub-contractors,
agents or sub-agents, sponsors or sub-sponsors, joint-venture partners, advisors, customers, suppliers or other third
parties.

3.8.2 Records
You are required to take particular care to ensure that all company records are accurately maintained in relation to any
contracts or business activities, including financial invoices and all payment transactions with clients, suppliers and public
officials, as well as records of all corporate hospitality, entertainment or gifts accepted or offered.
Due diligence should be undertaken and the Group’s Contract Review and Authorisation form completed and authorised
prior to entering into any contract, arrangement or relationship with a potential supplier of services, agent, consultant or
                                                                                                                                 8
representative in accordance with the Group’s procurement and risk management procedures. Our Group Bribery Act
policy should be included in all Terms of Contract and Terms of Business issued on engagement, stating that the supplier
of services, agent, consultant or representative must maintain records that are in accordance with the policy, and are made
available for inspection on request by the Group, auditors or investigating authorities.

3.8.3 Corporate Entertainment, Gifts, Hospitality and Promotional Expenditure
The Group permits corporate entertainment, gifts, hospitality and promotional expenditure that are undertaken:

        To establish or maintain good business relationships;
        To improve the image and reputation of the Group; or
        To present the Group’s services effectively.

Such activities are permitted provided that they are arranged in good faith, and not offered, promised or accepted to secure
an advantage for the Group or any of its workers or associated persons or to influence the impartiality of the recipient.

The following are not normally considered Corporate Hospitality and will not require any approval prior to acceptance:

        Normal and appropriate working hospitality e.g. lunches or refreshments provided during a business visit;
        Hospitality extended to workers attending a company approved seminar, conference or other external event,
        provided that such hospitality is extended to all who are in attendance;
        Ceremonial gifts;
        Offer of resources to assist making a decision more efficiently, provided that they are supplied for that purpose
        only;
        Benefits derived from frequent traveller schemes, awarded during travel paid for by the Group;
        Free seminars, talks or workshops, provided that they are free to all in attendance and are not provided solely for
        workers of the Group.

The Group will approve business entertainment proposals only if they demonstrate a clear business objective and are
appropriate for the nature of the business relationship. The Group will not approve business entertainment where it
considers that a conflict of interest may arise or where it could be perceived that undue influence or a particular business
benefit was being sought (for example, prior to a tendering exercise).

Where the value for proposed hospitality or gifts exceeds £75 (given or received), and for all monetary gifts, you are
required to notify your Manager and complete a Gift and Hospitality Approval form prior to accepting or providing the
gift or hospitality. This can be found in the Bribery Act Policy Forms folder located on the Public drive
(Public/Group/Finance/Policy and Forms/Bribery Act/Bribery Act Policy and Forms.

The completed form must be approved by the relevant Goodwood Group Management Team (“GGMT”) member for
the business in which the hospitality or gift was offered, and passed to the Executive Assistant to the GGMT director to
be recorded on the Gifts, Hospitality and Expenses register. Approval must be requested and granted in advance of
accepting or providing any hospitality or gift over £50.

Gifts of low value (less than £75) and which are mere tokens (such as promotional pens, calendars and stationery),
excluding money, may be accepted without the need for approval or documenting.

Gifts or hospitality offered by or to members of the GGMT must be approved by the Duke of Richmond, and gifts or
hospitality offered to the Duke of Richmond (within the scope of this policy) must be approved by the Bribery Officer.

The Bribery Officer will ensure that the GGMT formally reviews the Gifts, Hospitality and Expenses register and all
relevant documentation on a monthly basis during GGMT meetings.

3.8.4 Gifts, Hospitality and Expenses Register
All offers of gifts, hospitality or expenses (£75 or over) being paid by a third party must be recorded on a Gift and
Hospitality Approval Form, available in the Bribery Act Policy Forms folder located on the public drive.
The Gift and Hospitality Approval Form must be signed by you and countersigned by the relevant GGMT member
before being returned to the Executive Assistant to the authorising GGMT member who will update the Gifts, Hospitality
and Expenses register. This register will record:
         A description of the gift, hospitality or donation offered or where expenses are to be paid;

                                                                                                                               9
An estimation of the value of the gift, hospitality, donation or expenses offered;
        The relationship between the offering party and the recipient
        Whether it was rejected or accepted;
        If accepted or rejected;
        If it was accepted, how was it treated e.g. donated by the Group, providing details of who it was donated to
        (providing receipts in the event of a monetary donation).

The Gift and Hospitality Approval form must be completed and filed with the Executive Assistant to the authorising
GGMT member within 10 working days of the offer of the gift or offer of hospitality or expenses.

3.8.5 Expenses
Where expenses are offered to be paid by a third party, you should be aware that this could fall within the scope of the
Bribery Act and so may need to be authorised. Expenses under the value of £75 do not need to be authorised. Any offer
of expenses over this value must be notified to your Manager in advance and authorised by the relevant GGMT member
using the Gift and Hospitality Approval Form located on the public drive. These must then be notified to the Executive
Assistant to the authorising GGMT member to be included on the Gifts, Hospitality and Expenses register.

Note that where expenses are paid for by a third party, these may not be claimed through the Goodwood Expenses
process. In the event that employees and, where applicable, associated persons wish to claim expenses that are not paid for
by a third party, this must be done in accordance with the Goodwood Expenses Policy.

3.8.6 Complimentary Tickets
Where complimentary tickets to Goodwood events are offered, these must be approved in advance. A Ticket Request
Form must be completed, (located on the public drive) and must include full details of the purpose and relevant business
justification for their issue. The completed form should be sent to the Ticket Office who will who will obtain the relevant
Director approval prior to issuing the requested tickets (therefore please ensure any request is sent allowing sufficient time
for approval to be granted before tickets are issued).

A register of all complimentary tickets issued will be maintained by the Ticket Office, and provided to the Bribery Officer
for review by the GGMT on a monthly basis during GGMT meetings.

3.8.7 Charitable and Political Donations
The Group considers that charitable giving can form part of its wider commitment and responsibility to the
community. The Group supports a number of charities that are selected in accordance with objective criteria. The
Group may also support fundraising events involving employees. No donation should be made to a charity or any
third party on behalf of Goodwood without prior written authority of a director.

3.8.9 Risk Management
The Group has established detailed risk management procedures to prevent, detect and prohibit bribery. The Group
will take a departmental approach by conducting Departmental Risk Assessments for each of its key business
activities on an annual basis and, where relevant, will identify workers or officers of the Group who are in positions
where they may be a high risk of their being exposed to bribery. They will also identify high-risk areas, for example
projects undertaken in high-risk countries, tenders for work and those working on high-value projects. The GGMT
will review these risk assessments to establish the level of risk in each department, and using a risk-based approach,
will determine whether individual Supplier or Customer Risk Assessments are required to be completed before
engaging in business transactions with specific high-risk parties.

In addition, Contract Review and Authorisation forms have been created to assist with Group compliance of the
Bribery Act Policy, and can be found in the Bribery Act Policy Forms folder located on the Public drive. These
Review forms are to be completed, adopting a risk based approach and authorised by the relevant GGMT member,
when engaging with new consultants, contractors or sub-contractors, agents or sub-agents, sponsors or sub-sponsors,
joint-venture partners, advisors, suppliers, customers, or other third parties.

3.8.10 Working Overseas
If you are conducting business on behalf of the Group outside the United Kingdom, there may be a greater risk of being
exposed to bribery or unethical business conduct than UK-based workers. You therefore owe a duty to the Group to be
extra vigilant when conducting international business.

                                                                                                                            10
You are required to comply with the Group’s risk management procedures and to report suspicions of bribery to your
Manager or the Bribery Officer. While any suspicious circumstances should be reported, workers and associated persons
are required particularly to report:

        Close family, personal or business ties that a prospective agent, representative or joint-venture partner may have
        with government or corporate officials, directors or employees;
        A history of corruption in the country in which the business is being undertaken;
        Requests for cash payments;
        Requests for unusual payment arrangements, for example via a third party;
        Requests for reimbursements of unsubstantiated or unusual expenses; or
        A lack of standard invoices and proper financial practices.

If you are in any doubt as to whether or not a potential act constitutes bribery, the matter should be referred to the Bribery
Officer.

3.8.11 Facilitation Payments and Payment Terms
The Group prohibits its workers or associated persons from making or accepting any facilitation payments. These are
payments made to government officials for carrying out or speeding up routine procedures. They are more common
overseas. Facilitation payments are distinct from an official, publicly available fast-track process. Workers and associated
persons are required to act with greater vigilance when dealing with government procedures overseas.

Where a public official has requested a payment, you should ask for further details of the purpose and nature of the
payment in writing. If the public official refuses to give these, this should be reported immediately to the Bribery Officer.

If the public official provides written details, the Bribery Officer will consider the nature of the payment. Local legal advice
may be sought by the Group. If it is concluded that the payment is a legitimate fee, for example part of a genuine fast-
track process, or is permitted locally, the Group will authorise the worker to make the payment

Where it is considered that the request is for a facilitation payment, you will be instructed to refuse to make the payment
and notify the public official that the worker or associated person is required to report the matter to the Group and the
UK embassy.

All payment terms should be justifiable on an arm’s length basis. You should ensure that payments are not made in cash
and are made in the countries where business takes place. All payment terms should be agreed and properly recorded.

3.8.12 Reporting Suspected Bribery
The Group depends on its workers and associated persons to ensure that the highest standards of ethical conduct are
maintained in all its business dealings. You are requested to assist the Group and to remain vigilant in preventing,
detecting and reporting bribery. You are encouraged to report any concerns that you may have to your Manager or the
Bribery Officer. Issues that should be reported include:

        Any suspected or actual attempts at bribery;
        Concerns that other workers or associated persons may be being bribed; or
        Concerns that other workers or associated persons may be bribing third parties, such as clients or
        Government officials.

Any such reports will be thoroughly and promptly investigated in the strictest confidence. If you make a report, you may
be required to assist in any investigation into possible or suspected bribery.

Workers or associated persons who report instances of bribery in good faith will be supported by the Group. The Group
will ensure that you are not subjected to detrimental treatment as a consequence of your report. Furthermore no worker or
contractor will suffer demotion, penalty, or other adverse consequences for refusing to accept bribes, even if such refusal
may result in the Group losing business.

Any instances of detrimental treatment by a fellow worker because a worker has made a report or refused a bribe will be
treated as a disciplinary offence. An instruction to cover up wrongdoing is itself a disciplinary offence. If told not to raise
or pursue any concern, even by a person in authority such as a Manager, you should not agree to remain silent and must
report the matter to the Bribery Officer.

                                                                                                                               11
3.8.13 Action
The Company will fully investigate any instances of alleged or suspected bribery. Workers suspected of bribery may be
suspended from their duties while the investigation is being carried out. The Group will invoke its disciplinary procedures
where any worker is suspected of bribery, and proven allegations may result in a finding of gross misconduct and
immediate dismissal. The Group may terminate the contracts of any associated persons, including consultants or other
workers who act for, or on behalf of, the Group who are found to have breached this policy.

The Group may also report any matter to the relevant authorities, including the Director of Public Prosecutions, Serious
Fraud Office, Revenue and Customs Prosecutions Office and the police. The Group will provide all necessary assistance
to the relevant authorities in any subsequent prosecution.

3.8.14 Review of Procedures and Training
The Group reserves the right to amend and update this policy as required. For the avoidance of doubt, this policy does not
form part of worker’ contracts of employment although the requirement to comply with it is a contractual obligation.

 Training will be provided to ensure that all workers, in particular those who operate in decision making roles (Managers or
above), are aware of the implications of the Bribery Act 2010 on the following:

        Expense payments for customers;
        Favours beyond general goodwill gestures;
        Political contributions and charitable donations and sponsorship;
        Multiple intermediaries performing similar functions with general and vague descriptions of services being
        provided
        Unusual financial arrangements, including requests for credit by third party agents or distributors;
        Lack of transparency in expenses or accounting records or requests for reimbursements, which are badly
        documented
        Large commission payments;
        Gifts in the context of invitations

Inevitably, decisions as to what is acceptable may not always be easy. If you are in doubt as to whether a potential act
constitutes bribery, the matter should be referred to your Manager and to the Bribery Officer.

3.8.15 Breach of this Policy
The prevention, detection and reporting of bribery is the responsibility of all employees throughout the Group.
Suitable channels of communication, by which you can report confidentially any suspicion of bribery, will be
maintained via the whistle blowing procedure.

Any worker who is found to have acted in contravention of this policy or its principles may be subject to disciplinary
action, including summary dismissal where the breach amounts to gross misconduct.
This policy also applies to contractors and agents of the Group. Breach of the policy will entitle the Group to
terminate the contract with them.

Any worker, contractor or agent found giving or receiving bribes or bribing a foreign official will face criminal
charges under the provisions of the Bribery Act 2010 and will be subject to disciplinary actions. Anyone found guilty
of bribery, will be responsible for bearing any related remedial costs incurred by the Group such as losses, court fees
or expenses.

4. The Goodwood Values
At Goodwood, we strive to reflect our core values in everything we do:

4.1 Obsession for perfection - Quality
We have an insatiable appetite to get it 100% right; we're madly passionate about what we do. This means making sure we
always do things right and do not cut corners. If a customer asks a question and we do not know the answer, we make an
effort to find someone that does rather than leave the customer unsatisfied.

                                                                                                                           12
4.2 The Real Thing - Authenticity
We employ meticulous attention to detail to create experiences, as they should be, resulting in pure, unspoilt, unadulterated
pleasure. We tailor the experience to the customer, altering the way we speak and behave to adapt to them and their needs.

4.3 'Daring Do' - 'The Wow'
We don't mind breaking the rules to create the best possible experiences where everything action orientated happens
brilliantly and quickly. As a member of the casual team this means going the extra mile to really please our guests, even if
this means we have to ask the Supervisor if the rules can be bent a little.

4.4 Sheer Love of Life – Infectious Enthusiasm
Goodwood people, like Goodwood customers, want to get and see others get the most out of life - and specifically during
their experience at Goodwood. This means being enthusiastic about Goodwood, our customers and our events. We
should greet all customers in a warm way and an interest should be taken in them and how we can help to maximise their
enjoyment of the day. Being abrupt, unhelpful or unenthusiastic is not acceptable.

5. Finding Goodwood
Your volunteering location will change depending on which event you join us at. The main event locations are listed
below:

Members’ Meeting- Goodwood Motor Circuit (PO18 0PH)
Festival of Speed- Goodwood House (PO18 0PX)
Goodwood Revival- Goodwood Motor Circuit (PO18 0PH)

The above postcodes should be used as an indicator, but as you get closer to Goodwood you should follow the event signs
and instructions from SEP marshals. Closer to the event you are scheduled to work you will receive more precise
instructions on the exact location of staff parking, Staff HQ and your volunteering location.

6. Pre-event Briefings
Before each motorsport event there will be a Staff Briefing that all volunteers are encouraged to attend. Whilst it is not
compulsory, it is a very useful opportunity to learn about the event, the site and your role. The briefing is usually held on
the week of the event and involves a talk from the Event Manager, a site tour and an opportunity to meet your area
supervisor. Specific details will be included in the pre-event information.

7. Looking Smart
It is very important that we present ourselves in a way that is in keeping with Goodwood expectations.

7.1 Uniform
The type of uniform that you will need to wear will differ at each event but will be outlined in the information sent four
weeks prior to volunteering. There are some basic items that you will often need to provide yourself however Goodwood
will usually provide a thin branded overcoat to wear over the top. Please be sure to bring a change of clothes to wear
outside of your volunteer shift, as we do not permit the Goodwood uniform to be worn in your free time.

Please be prepared for all types of weather when volunteering at Goodwood. This may mean subtly layering warm clothing
under an overcoat and bringing a waterproof and wellingtons in wet weather, or being prepared with suncream and an
unbranded sun hat on warmer days.

The following rules apply to all events:
- No jeans
- No fancy dress
- No trainers
- No high heels
- No sportswear
- No branded baseball caps

                                                                                                                                13
7.2 Personal Appearance and Hygiene
Excellent dress, hygiene and grooming are all a vital and key part of our philosophy. Our success depends on the
professional image created by a constantly well groomed Front of House appearance.

Make-up should be natural and moderate in apperance. Nails should be clean with no nail varnish on.

Good personal and oral hygiene is essential at all times. Smokers must use mints or mouthwash after smoking and wash
their hands before returning to work. Chewing gum while in public view is not permitted.

                                                                                                                       14
