Keynote Speaker Patty Jo Toor, MSN, BA, RN Vice President Nursing / Chief Nursing Officer AdventHealth Celebration Patty Jo Toor has had the privilege of being the CNO at AdventHealth Celebration since 2011. She added the role of COO in 2016 providing her with the opportunity to create a dynamic synergy between the ancillary and clinical teams. Under her leadership Ad- ventHealth Celebration became a Baby Friendly hospital and a Magnet recognized hospi- tal demonstrating a commitment to excellence in health care. Although these have been challenging times, she looks forward to the opportunity to be innovative with staffing mod- els and providing nurses the opportunity to work at the top of their license. She is married with three children and loves being outside.

Key to Honors Master Degree Graduates receive the Masters degree hood as a recognition of academic achievement. Bachelor Degree Honors Summa Cum Laude (with greatest honor) A cumulative grade point average of 3.90-4.00 is recognized by a gold stole that is part of the graduate’s academic regalia. Magna Cum Laude (with high honor) A cumulative grade point average of 3.70-3.89 is recognized by a double gold cord that is part of the graduate’s academic regalia. Cum Laude (with honor) A cumulative grade point average of 3.50-3.69 is recognized by a double silver cord that is part of the graduate’s academic regalia. Associate Degree and Diploma Honors A cumulative grade point average of 3.50 to 4.00. is recognized by double white cord that is part of the graduate’s academic regalia. Alpha Beta Kappa National Honor Society (ABK) Alpha Beta Kappa National Honor Society membership inductees have a grade point average of 3.75 or higher and are recognized by wearing red, white and blue honor cords. Additional qualifications for membership include leadership and ser- vice in class and school activities, and personal integrity and good moral charac- ter. The purpose of the society is to help schools, colleges and universities how-so -ever organized and named, and their students and alumni through the encourage- ment and recognition of superior academic work and laboratory training in honora- ble fields of endeavor. Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI) Herzing University Chapter: Alpha Beta Iota The Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing is the second-largest nursing organization in the world with approximately 135,000 active members. It is an international community of nurses, dedicated to the advancement of knowledge, teaching, learning, and ser- vice through the cultivation of communities of practice, education, and research. Membership inductees include undergraduate, graduate and doctoral candidates. Qualifications for membership vary according to degree level. Graduates are rec- ognized by wearing purple and white cords as part of the graduate’s academic re- galia.
