CPD CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT It is mandatory for teachers registered with the RAD, including teachers recognized by mutual agreement and active Life Members, to take part in a minimum number of CPD activities each year in order to retain Registered Teacher Status. Your CPD requirement must be completed within the CPD year, September 1 - August 31, and you should be able to provide evidence that it is relevant to your dance teaching career. +Age Requirements The RAD has set minimum ages for exams to ensure safe dance practice and maximize achievement. Candidates must have reached the minimum age by the entry deadline for the session. There are no maximum age limits for any exams. +General Information Music in Examinations Candidate Numbers Music options for both AEC and RAV exams are as follows: Numbers must be worn by all candidates on the front and back of their uniform. AEC studios are responsible for providing their own numbers. In an RAV, the AEC: numbers will be pre-allocated and provided on arrival. • CD and/or pianist for all graded levels, class awards, presentation classes, Examination Type Numbers and Discovering Repertoire • Pianists are mandatory for Vocational Graded Exams; however, due All Examinations 1 to 4 to COVID-19, teachers will not be required to use a pianist for their All Class Awards 1 to 8 vocational examinations, either in-person or filmed.
