CPD
CONTINUING
PROFESSIONAL
DEVELOPMENT
It is mandatory for teachers registered with the RAD,
including teachers recognized by mutual agreement
and active Life Members, to take part in a minimum
number of CPD activities each year in order to retain
Registered Teacher Status.
Your CPD requirement must be completed within the CPD year,
September 1 - August 31, and you should be able to provide
evidence that it is relevant to your dance teaching career.

Changes for 2020/21 In-Person Exams
In response to the ongoing pandemic, the Royal Academy of Dance has In-person exams are planned for all our sessions, subject to examiner availability

Entry Submissions Reasonable Adjustments

The RAD has set minimum ages for exams to ensure safe dance practice
and maximize achievement.
Candidates must have reached the minimum age by the entry deadline
for the session.
There are no maximum age limits for any exams.

Music in Examinations Candidate Numbers
Music options for both AEC and RAV exams are as follows: Numbers must be worn by all candidates on the front and back of their uniform.
AEC studios are responsible for providing their own numbers. In an RAV, the
AEC: numbers will be pre-allocated and provided on arrival.

and Discovering Repertoire
• Pianists are mandatory for Vocational Graded Exams; however, due All Examinations 1 to 4
