    Marine Strategy Framework Directive
 • In order to achieve Good Environmental Status, Member States
   are subject to the obligation of regional cooperation
 • Need for more knowledge of the seas (‘Marine Knowledge’)
 • Cooperation within and across marine regions to enhance
   coherence and consistency, required by the Directive, is further
   needed to take forward the broader coordination called for by
   the UN Regular
