Covid 19 Charity Risk Assessment Date of assessment: 05/01/2022 Date of next review: 11/02/2022 Agreed by: Senior Leadership Team Details of risk assessment including location/description of activity or equipment to be assessed: It is a legal requirement that school, and college settings should revisit and update their risk assessments (building on the learning to date and the practices they have already developed), to consider the additional risks and control measures. Settings should also review and update their wider risk assessments and consider the need for relevant revised controls in respect of their conventional risk profile considering the implications of coronavirus (COVID-19). Schools and Colleges should ensure that they implement sensible and proportionate control measures which follow the health and safety hierarchy of controls to reduce the risk to the lowest reasonably practicable level. We maintain our position that Safeguarding is paramount in all environments and at all levels on-site and off- site. We have adapted our Safeguarding Policy to reflect specific Covid 19 concerns. CYPA 1 individual risk assessments are updated when necessary and in conjunction with families as per the guidance A number of measures have been put in place to reduce the risk of contamination / infection along with plans for managing any staff or CYPA falling ill, and appropriate contingency planning is starting to plan for the eventuality of local outbreaks Further government advice and guidance can be found below, however St. John’s reserves the right to extend our control measures beyond the government guidance: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/containing-and-managing-local- coronavirus-covid-19-outbreaks/covid-19-contain-framework-a-guide-for-local-decision-makers 1 child, young person, or adult Page 1 of 28 Covid 19 Charity Risk Assessment *Risk Groups: A: Students B: Staff C: Contractors D: Visitors E: Members of the public F: Vehicles/equipment G: Building/infrastructure H: Environment
