Official Jury JASMINE TRINCA Actress, director Italy Jasmine Trinca made her debut when chosen by Nanni Moretti to play Irene in The Son’s Room, the Palme d’Or winner in 2001. In 2003, she returned to Cannes with the cast of Marco Tullio Giordana’s The Best of Youth, which went on to win the Un Certain Regard award. Over the follow- ing years, she returned to Cannes in Competition with Nanni Moretti’s The Caiman, Bertrand Bonello’s House of Tolerance, Ildikó Enyedi’s The Story of My Wife, in Un Certain Regard with Valeria Golino’s Honey (2013) and Euphoria (2018), and Sergio Castellitto’s Fortunata, which earned her the Jury Award for Best Performance in 2017. Her numerous awards include the Marcello Mastroianni Award at the Venice International Film Festival in 2009, two David di Donatello Awards, and five Nastri d’Argento. Jur y President VALERIA GOLINO Director, actress, producer Italy Early on in her career, Italian-born Valeria Golino was awarded the Prize of Best Actress for her role in Francesco Maselli’s A Tale of Love at the Venice Film Festival in 1986. Her career became international and she notably appeared in Barry Levinson’s Rain Man (1988), Jim Abrahams’ Hot Shots! (1991) and Hot Shots! 2 (1993), Emanuele Crialese’s Respiro (2002), Antonio Capuano’s Mario’s War (2005), Valeria Bruni Tedeschi’s Actrices (2007) and Paolo Virzi’s Human Capital (2013). She directed her first film, Miele, presented at the Festival de Cannes in the Un Certain Regard selection (2013). She appeared in Giuseppe M. Gaudino’s Per Amor Vostro, which won her the Best Actress Award at the Venice Film Festival (2015). She directed Euforia, cheered in the Un Certain Regard selection at the Festival de Cannes (2018), and came back the following year in competition as an actress with Portrait of a lady on fire by Céline Sciamma, Awarded best screenplay (2019). She recently finished filming Edoardo De Angelis’ series La vita bugiarda degli adulti. She’s currently working on her first series as a director: L’arte della gioia. His production of Maura Delpero’s award-winning debut Maternal premiered in competition at Locarno in 2019, and he is now completing postproduction on Niccolò Falsetti’s punk comedy Margini.
