Dear Students,
At the outset, let me welcome all of you who are intending to join our
University.
I am extremely happy to note that you have selected our University for
your further studies. All of you know that Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to
be University), is one of the leading Universities in the country having
‘A’ grade awarded by Ministry of Human Resource Development,
Government of India.
It is also accredited with prestigious ‘A’ grade in 2004 and reaccredited
with‘A’ grade in 2011 by the NAAC, Bangalore and accredited with Prof. Dr. Shivajirao Kadam
prestigious ‘A+’Grade(3rd cycle) in 2017 by NAAC. It is also significant

Vidyapeeth Deemed University family as its Vice Chancellor. I take this
opportunity to welcome all new students joining the university for PG
(Ayu.)Courses. At this juncture, I would like to congratulate you for having
reached this point in your academic journey. As a student of health science, you
have a huge responsibility and a vast course work to accomplish in order to
achieve your coveted degree. You can look up for any guidance, support and help
in your mentors and the seniors in order to move ahead in life and excel in your

In terms of credentials, we, at Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University have a diverse group of students,

Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) Pune, India
Bharati Vidyapeeth, the parent organization of this University is one
of the largest educational organizations in the country. It has 180
educational units under its umbrella including 80 Colleges and Institutes
of conventional and professional disciplines. The Department of Human
Resource Development, Government of India on the recommendations of
the University Grants Commission accorded the status of "Deemed to be
University" initially to a cluster of 12 units of Bharati Vidyapeeth.
Subsequently, 17 additional colleges / institutes were brought within the
ambit of Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) wide various
notifications of the Government of India. Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed
University commenced its functioning on 26th April, 1996.

The status of University was given to a cluster of these colleges and institutes in appreciation
of the high level of their academic excellence and for their potential for further growth. During
the last 24 years or so, the University has achieved higher pinnacles of academic excellence and
has established its reputation to such an extent that it attracts students not only from various
parts of India but also from abroad. According to a survey conducted by Association of Indian
Universities this University is one among the top ten Universities in the country preferred by the
overseas students for admissions. At present, there are more than 602 overseas students from 45
countries on the rolls of constituent units of this University. It now conducts in all 290 courses in
its constituent units, of them 107 are Post Graduate, 40 are Under Graduate and 37 Diploma level
and 14 are PG Diploma level courses. 11 Fellowship and 5 certificate courses. All the professional
courses which the University conduct such as those of Medicine, Dentistry, Engineering etc., have
approval of the respective statutory councils, viz. Central Council of Indian Medicine, Medical
Council of India, All India Council for Technical Education etc.
The University is a throbbing center of research activities and has launched Ph.D.
programmes in 79 subjects and M.Phil in 2 subjects. It has also introduced quite few innovative
academic programmes such as Masters in Clinical Optometry, M.Tech. in Nano Technology etc.
The University's performance and achievements were assessed by the "National Assessment and
Accreditation Council", and it was reaccredited with a prestigious "A" grade in 2004 & in 2011 and
accredited with prestigious ‘A+’ Grade(3rd cycle) in 2017 by NAAC. Some programmes of the

l IRSHA, its health related Sciences Research Institute has done a good path breaking research
work on Omega 3 Fatty Acids and has taken a lead in encouraging farmers to cultivate flax seeds
which are major source of Omega 3 Fatty Acids.
l Its Institute of Environment Studies & Research Education has adopted several primary schools,
wherein it implements its programmes of creating environmental consciousness among the
students. Its work has received national level applaud.

Our Campuses
Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) has campuses in Pune, Mumbai, Solapur, Kolhapur,
Sangli, Karad and New Delhi, the capital city of India. Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be
University) has two campuses in Pune, one is on Pune-Satara Road and another in Erandwane, in
the heart of the city. The campus on Pune- Satara Road is situated on a sprawling 75 acres of land.
Architectually well-designed buildings on this campus house are Medical, Dental, Ayurved,
Engineering, Homoeopathic Colleges and Bharati Hospital besides other colleges. Our Arts, Science,
Commerce, Pharmacy, Law and a few other colleges are located in the Erandwane Campus. Hostel
facilities with modern amenities are provided separately for the girls and boys in both the
campuses. Recreational, communication and other facilities are available on these campuses, the
students can enjoy full-fledged community life on these campuses. We say it with a sense of pride

College of Ayurved and Hospital
Our college is recognized by Central Council of India Medicine, New Delhi and Ministry of
AYUSH, Government of India, New Delhi.
College is constituent unit of the Bharati Vidyapeeth University which has been accorded with
'A' Grade University Status by MHRD, Govt. of India.
Accredited and also Reaccredited with 'A+' Grade by National Assessment and Accreditation
Council (NAAC) Bangaluru.
Recognized by UGC under section '12B' of UGC Act 1956.
Aesthetically designed college building accommodates well - equipped laboratories, dissection
hall, spacious classrooms, museums and library with a reading hall and internet facility.
The college's own 200 - bed Ayurved Hospital with OPDs and IPDs attract a huge number of
patients facilitating better clinical exposure to students.
Our Executive Panchakarma Centre with all exclusive facilities works as center for medical
tourism, catch the attention of foreigners.

Infrastructure: The College of Ayurved has all the excellent infrastructure facilities. The college
building is segmented in well ventilated Classrooms with LCD facility, spacious departments with

Hospital Facility : Ayurved Hospital - 200 Bedded Registered Hospital (Day care facility, Diet

Library :- The College houses a spacious and peaceful library with OPAC (Online Public Access
Catalogue) facility have more than 20,500 books ranging from thousands of years old classics up to
latest editions of modern medical volumes including National and International journals.
Herbal Garden: - The College boasts a well - planned herbal garden with more than 1200
medicinal plants which includes 291 species and several extinct and rare species of flora.
Pharmacy: - In house Ayurved Pharmacy unit in the college manufactures approximately '100'
formulations which are used in our hospital itself. Advanced analytical laboratory is also attached
to this unit to ensure the quality and standard of medicine.

Rules for Admission to Post Graduate Diploma Courses in Ayurved
1. Application form
a) A candidate desirous of taking admission for P.G. Diploma Ayurved courses is required to
submit single prescribed online application form along with Online form fee of Rs. 2,000/-
(fee is non -refundable)
b) The application form is available online at following website
http://bvuniversity.edu.in
The candidates should strictly follow the instructions while filling up the application form
online, and must read the instructions carefully before filling up the online application form
given in Annexure 2.

d) The last date of submission of application form will be 30th January 2021 before 5:00 pm.
e) An incomplete application form or an application form which is not accompanied by
necessary payment, will not be entertained and processed.
f) The University will not be responsible for any delay or loss of application / admission
card/counselling letter/any communication in transit. Such delay will not be condoned.
2. Foreign / NRI / PIO / OCI / Institutional Quota Seats:
Fifty percent seats are reserved for Foreign / NRI / PIO / OCI / Institutional Quota Category.
Any seat remaining vacant after allotment to Foreign/NRI/PIO/OCI Merit Students will be
allotted to Indian Students under Institutional Quota Category on the basis of Inter-se merit
obtained by them in the Merit List.
3. Duration of the P.G. Diploma Course - 02 years
4. Eligibility for Admission
a) A graduate degree in Ayurved of any university/statutory body approved by C.C.I.M.
and qualified in the AIA-PGET-2020
b) The applicant should complete his / her rotating internship training on or before 31st
December 2020.However internship starting date of the candidate must be on or
before 1st November 2019.
c) The candidate should possess a permanent registration with any State Medical Council
in India or Central Council of Indian Medicine. If he does not have the same he will be
required to obtain such registration within one month after admission to the P.G.
course, failing which his admission to P.G. course will be cancelled.

5. Basis of Selection
1. The selection shall be made strictly on the basis of rank obtained by
eligible candidate in AIAPGET - 2020.
6. Merit List
A) Merit lists shall be displayed on the following website.
www.bvuniversity.edu.in, The candidate has to login at the website to view their
individual result with their respective login credentials.
The candidates will not be informed telephonically about the counselling. IT SHALL BE
THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CANDIDATE TO SEE THE MERIT LIST ON WEBSITE.
The candidate may make telephone enquiry after the declaration of the merit list for
further details.

It is not possible to send individual invitation for counselling to the candidates.
It shall be the responsibility of the individual candidate to see his own merit number
and appear for the counselling and on the spot admission at College of Ayurved, Pune-
Satara Road, Pune -411043 on Thursday 11th February 2021.
7. A) The allotment of the subject will be done as per merit and depending upon the
availability of seat in a particular subject at the time of counselling of the candidate.
B) The vacant seats after allotment to foreign/NRI/PIO/OCI merit students will also be
available under Institutional Quota category for the candidates in the merit lists.
Candidate desirous of seeking admission under Institutional Quota has to pay the
Institutional Category fees as mentioned in the Broucher.

List of Documents required at the time of counseling & spot Admission
All candidates are required to produce original and the two sets of duly self-attested
photocopies of the following documents at the time of counselling. The selected candidates will
be required to pay the entire amount of annual fee on the day of counselling itself. (Through Bank
Demand Draft drawn in the name of “The Registrar, BVDU, Pune” payable at Pune). In case the
candidate fails to remit the entire amount of fees, he/she is likely to lose his/her claim for
admission to that seat.

Copy of Downloaded Online Admit Card and any photo ID proof. (Adhar Card, Driving
License, PAN card, Passport, Voter ID)
b) Copy of Downloaded Online Application Form
c) Statement of marks of I, II and III BAMS examinations.
d) Certificate of completion of Internship.
e) Certificate indicating the number of attempts at III BAMS examination from the Head of the
Institution
f) If the candidate is employed, he should submit 'No Objection Certificate' from the employer.
g) Declaration stating that he is not undergoing any Postgraduate course in any other institution.
h) Medical fitness certificate
i) Statement of marks of 10+2 examination.
j) Certificate of registration with State Medical Council/CCIM
k) Nationality Certificate
l) Migration Certificate
m) Certificate from the Dean/Principal of the College of Ayurved stating, that the College is
Recognized by the CCIM with reference number of Recognition letter of

Counselling And On-the-Spot-Admission Session
1. The counselling and on-the-spot admission session will be held at the Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be
University) College of Ayurved, Pune-Satara Road, Pune-411 043 on the day and time mentioned in the
Calendar of events.
2. Only the candidate and one parent/guardian will be allowed into the hall where counselling is held. The
candidates will be called in the order of their merit and offered the seats available at that point in time.
The candidate will be permitted to choose any of the seats available when his/her turn comes.
3. When all the seats in a given specality subject/course are filled, admission of students to that specality
subject/course will instantaneously cease and Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University will not be
responsible for non-availability of the seats and non-allotment to the rest of the candidates.
4. At the time of reporting for the counselling, the candidate is required to produce the documents (original
and two sets of photocopies) listed above in list of documents required at the time of counselling and spot
admission. If the candidate is admitted to any of the courses, these documents will be retained by the
University till he/she completes the branch. If the candidate fails to produce the documents listed, he/she
will instantaneously forfeit his claim for a seat.
5. Physical presence of the candidate at the counselling is mandatory. In case, if the candidate unable to
attend counselling due to his/her health problem. He/She may send his/her representative to attend
counselling along with letter of authority with mentioning choice of his/her specality subject/course. The
choice of specality subject/course made by the representative/candidate is final and binding and will not
be altered later under any circumstances. The format of letter of authority is attached as Annexure-I
6. The candidates who have come for counselling will have to finalise the admission by payment of fees on
the spot. Failure to attend the counselling or to pay the fees on spot and submission of all necessary
documents will result in automatic forfeiture of the claim of the candidates for the selection.
7. In case the candidate does not want to continue the specality subject/course after payment of fees he/she
will have to request the Principal for cancellation of admission in writing.
8. The selected candidate will have to join as full time resident immediately and will not be permitted to do
any other job. If he fails to join the course within 15 days of the selection, his admission will automatically
get cancelled and he will not be entitled for any refund of fees.
9. Any legal matters arising out of the total admission process of P.G. Diploma courses through Merit List of
Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University), Pune-30 and it will be under the Jurisdiction of courts at
Pune, Maharashtra.

Refund of Fees
In case of cancellation of Admission the Refund policy will be as follows:
Rules regarding cancellation of admission and refund of fee will be as per UGC norms; kindly
refer to the Notice Board at the time of counselling.
Differences of Opinions Dispute with Regard to Rules
Differences of opinion and disputes arising in the interpretation and implementation of the
clauses in this brochure, if any, will be referred to the Vice-Chancellor of the Bharati
Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University), Pune and his decision shall be final and binding.
The admission process is subject to the final decision of the Govt. of India, Honorable courts
and C.C.I.M. New Delhi.

This has to be submitted online immediately after the conformation of the admission.
Note:
As per the directions of Hon’ble Supreme Court of India Order No. SLP(C) No. 24295/2004 and
SLP No. 143656/2005, WP (C) No. 173/2006 and SLP(C) No. 24296-24299/2004 all the students
are hereby informed the following.
“If any incidents of ragging comes to the notice of the authority, the concerned students shall be given
liberty to explain and if his explanation is not found satisfactory the authority would expel him from the
institution.”

General Instructions to fill online Application Form
How to Apply:
A applicant has to visit www.bvuniversity.edu.in and click on the link ‘application process for
admission to PG Diploma Ayurved
The applicant will be redirected to a page for registration.
The applicant has to click on “New Applicants Click Here” tab for registration and enter details. The
applicant should then click on the login tab using the login Id/e-mail address and password.
(Please remember to save the login credential with you for future reference till the admission process
is complete)
The applicant should then fill up all details in the online application form.
It is compulsory for the applicant to upload scanned image of
a) AIA-PGET-2020 Score card
b) Graduation Marksheet of B.A.M.S.
The applicant should verify the details filled in the online application form and click on “submit” tab.
The applicant should click on “Payments” tab and proceed for payment so as to complete application
process. The payment can be made through credit card/debit card/Internet banking.
The applicant should print the copy of application form and payment receipt for future reference till
the admission process is complete.
Other Guidelines
1) Applicants are advised in their own interest to apply online much before the closing date and not to
wait till the last date to avoid the possibility of disconnection / inability / failure to log on to the
Note website on account of heavy load on internet / website jam. Competent Authority takes no
responsibility for applicants not being able to submit their applications online within the last date on
account of aforsaid reasons or for any other reason beyond the control of the competent Authority.
2) Any information submitted by an applicant in his / her application shall be binding on the
applicant personally and he /she shall be liable for prosecution / civil consequences in case in
case the information / details furnished by him / her are found to be false at a later stage.
3) Competent Authority shall not be responsible for any application made / wrong information
