Continuing Pharmacy Education On-Demand The 2021 OPA Virtual Annual Conference will include more than 40 hours of on-demand CPE. Pharmacist 2021 CPE Reporting Are you ready for continuing pharmacy education (CPE) reporting this year? As part of the new biennial (two-year) renewal cycle for pharmacist licenses in Ohio, all pharmacists are required to obtain a minimum of 4.0 CEUs (40 hours) every two years. Pharmacists will need to report CPE credits prior to license renewal in 2021; CPE must be earned between September 16, 2019 and September 15, 2021. Specific requirements include: • Any format (live, home study) is acceptable; • Minimum 2 hours medication errors/patient safety (identified as ACPE -05); • Minimum 2 hours jurisprudence or law (identified as ACPE -03) or Ohio Board of Pharmacy Approved Jurisprudence; • Only ACPE courses and CPE from approved in-state providers (law and provision of volunteer healthcare services) are accepted. NOTE: Pharmacists whose first license was issued on or after May 1, 2019 have different reporting requirements.
