    T  he SHA and SHATEC jointly
       organised an Anniversary Dinner
    at the Grand Ballroom, Mandarin
    Orchard Singapore on 27 September
    2018 to celebrate 57 and 35 years of
    excellence, respectively.
    Senior Minister of State, Ministry of
    Education and Ministry of Trade and
    Industry, Mr Chee Hong Tat graced
    the event which was well attended
    by more than 500 hoteliers, industry
    stakeholders, professionals and
    SHATEC Alumni.
    Hosted by renowned emcee, Justin
    Mission, it was an evening filled
    with entertainment. The highlight of
    the event was a specially curated
    menu by 6 SHATEC Alumni Chefs
    who showcased their cooking skills
    through the 5-course menu for diners
    to relish upon.
    Another highlight of the event was
    the Lucky Draw segment. A total of
    50 attractive prizes were presented
    at the event and the top prize
    winner walked away with a cruise
    package; sponsored by the Genting
    Cruise Lines.

                 appointment of its new General Manager, Ms Tania Getzova.

                 An accomplished hotelier with over 20 years of experience, Ms Getzova has held

                 Pan Pacific Singapore

                 Mr Kurt Otto Wehinger has been appointed as the General Manager of Pan
                 Pacific Singapore, a part of Pan Pacific Hotels Group, with effect from 10
                 September 2018. Mr Wehinger was transferred from Australia, where he was the
                 General Manager for PARKROYAL Darling Harbour and Area General Manager
                 for Oceania for the past two and a half years. A hospitality veteran with more
                 than 35 years of experience, Mr Wehinger is not unfamiliar with Singapore, as
                 he was the General Manager of Marina Mandarin Singapore for seven years
                 prior to joining Pan Pacific Hotels Group. He was also the first General Manager
                 of Kempinski Beijing Lufthansa Hotel and Grand Millennium Beijing, a flagship
                 property under Millennium & Copthorne which opened just prior to Beijing
                 Olympics.

                 An Austrian national, Mr Wehinger’s career has taken him to various destinations
                 in Europe, Asia, Australia, the Middle East and the US, where he managed hotels
                 under international brands including Kempinski and InterContinental.

                 In his role as General Manager of Pan Pacific Singapore, Mr Wehinger will focus
                 on developing its associates, products and services to deliver a world class
                 luxury hospitality experience.

Hotel Security Conference
and Awards 2018
A   nnual Hotel Security Award Presentation
    Ceremony 2018 was held on 30th October
at Furama RiverFront Singapore. The event was
graced by Mr Zaqy Mohamad, Minister of State,
Ministry of National Development and Ministry of
Manpower. Jointly organised by the Singapore
Hotel Association, Singapore Police Force and
National Crime Prevention Council, the award
ceremony was held in conjunction with the annual
Hotel Security Conference.

A record-breaking number of 96 hotels were
recognised at the 23rd edition of the annual award
ceremony this year. 85 hotels were awarded the
Hotel Security Excellence Award while another
11 received the Hotel Security Award.

3 of the recipient hotels also received the Hotel
Security Star Award for receiving the award
for 20 consecutive years in recognition of their
consistent commitment in ensuring a safe and
secure hotel environment.

                        PROJECT MANAGEMENT
                        BCI provides a team of experienced Project Managers who stay on-site for the
                        duration of the project expediting the turnaround and freeing up our customers to
                        concentrate on their core business. Additionally, BCI’s proprietary management
                        system, BLMP, allows for all aspects of the project to be managed & tracked.

                        FF&E INSTALLATION
                        BCI delivers and installs the Furniture, Fixtures, and related Equipment according to
                        the floor plan and design instructions. Our team assembles the furniture, installs any
                        wall-hung items, and repairs any damaged or defective goods.

                        WAREHOUSING
                        BCI’s team accepts all product from your vendors to our warehouses where the
                        inventory is uploaded into our system for tracking & reporting purposes. Real-time
                        reports are available providing visibility to items on-hand, overages, shortages,
                        and/or any damages that may exist.

                        FREIGHT FORWARDING
                        As a member of the WCA and SLA, BCI works with thousands of pre-qualified agents
                        around the world providing our customers the solutions they need, when they need it.
