Established under the Bennett University, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh Act, 2016 (U.P. Act No. 24 of 2016) and (Incorporated as a Private University under Uttar Pradesh Private Universities Act, 2019) ADMISSION PROCEDURE –– A.Y. 2020-21 3 YEARS B.C.A. (BACHELOR IN COMPUTER APPLICATIONS) PROGRAM (Admission Based on Percentile Score in Best of JEE Main (January 2020) or JEE Main (September 2020) OR (Based on 10+2 percentage in 3 Subjects*) /or (SAT Score)/or Points in IB (DP/Certificate) Examination. OR NEET (UG)-2020 percentile score *subject to minimum 55% aggregate marks in three subjects including or excluding Mathematics in 10+2/equivalent examination IMPORTANT: FOUR STEPS PROCESS Step-1. Apply offline/online. Candidates can opt for admission based on lists drawn on (i) Percentile marks in JEE Main (January 2020) or JEE Main (September 2020), whichever is higher or (ii) percentage marks/points in any three subjects including or excluding Mathematics in 10+2 or equivalent examination or (iii) SAT score or (iv) IB (DP/Certificate) or (v) NEET(UG) -2020. Candidates shall be given advantage of best scores, in the above modes. Step-2. Provide actual percentile score (upto2 decimal points) obtained in JEE Main (January 2020) or JEE Main (September 2020) within 5 days of declaration of results, and 10+2 or equivalent examination marks and/or SAT Score and/or IB (DP/Certificate) score and /or NEET (UG) 2020 percentile score, once the results are announced, but before dates specified for announcement of admission list. Step-3. Admission shall be based on: Percentile marks in paper-1 of JEE Main (January 2020). Or Percentile marks in paper-1 of JEE Main (September 2020)). Or 10+2 /equivalent examination percentage in (three subjects including or excluding Mathematics). Or SAT Score Or IB (DP/Certificate) total points Or NEET (UG) -2020 total percentile score Or **Personal Interview In all cases: the seats shall be allotted based on cut offs decided by University Admission Committee and choice of program filled by the candidate at application stage. More than one round of lists can be taken out and admission may be held, as required. Step-4. Payment of advance fee within 7 days of admission offer or as per dates specified in offer letter and balance dues prior to document verification, registration, and commencement of classes by 19 October 2020. ** The candidates may also be offered admission through Personal Interview subject to meeting the other eligibility criteria (the rules, terms and conditions has been explained at Appendix-B). GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS: Please note the following carefully, before filling the application form / applying online:
(a) Merely filling an application form does not entitle a candidate for admission. The admission is purely based on performance in qualifying/eligibility examinations. The University reserves the right to cancel/revoke its offer and/or acceptance of provisional admission at any point in time; (b) No refund of application fee is allowed in any condition, whatsoever; (c) Candidate cannot claim the seat, merely because it is available. University Admission Committee shall decide the minimum cut offs for various programs and same shall be final; (d) Candidate must fulfil all the eligibility criteria as laid down in succeeding paragraphs, if he/she wishes to be considered for admission; (e) Non- submission of application form or JEE–Main 2020 percentile scores (January 2020 and/or September 2020) and/ or 10+2/equivalent examination scores and/or SAT scores and/or IB (DP /Certificate) points and /or NEET(UG)-2020 percentile score to the University, as applicable, before due dates, shall debar a candidate from being considered for admission; (f) The University does not admit students based on central counselling, by nominated agencies for JEE /NEET; (g) NRI/ International Category candidates (as defined in document below) having taken qualifying exams from boards abroad, shall be considered, provided they fulfil other eligibility criteria as defined in paras 2,3,4 and 5 below; (h) All candidates shall be communicated guidelines, results and other details including offer letters through e-mail. Candidates are advised to check their SPAM or JUNK folder regularly and white- list the email id: admissions@bennett.edu.in. Please note that this is the only official mail ID of the University, for all communications related to admissions. Communications received from other mail IDs, may be advisory in nature, but cannot be quoted as official position of the University, specially w.r.t marks, eligibility, and admission offers; (i) Merit based Scholarships are available in all programs, details of which are available on the University web site and shall also be provided in admission offer letters; (j) Provision exists for obtaining Honors degree, subject to qualifying in specified additional courses as per the rules of the programs. (k) Further, students shall have to opt for one of the specializations i.e. (i) Cloud Computing & Cyber Security (ii) Data Science after first year of studies. PROGRAMS AND SEATS ON OFFER: The tentative number of seats for Academic Session 2020-21 is as given in the table below: Programs JEE Marks SAT/ NEET Total (Main2020) of 10+2 IB (UG) ## $ (Diploma / Certificate B.C.A @ Yes Yes Yes YES 120 Total 120 $# $ The number of seats under JEE, 10+2 and SAT or NEET based admissions, may be varied, interchanged, and added after approval from statutory authority of the University depending upon academic profile of the candidates. $# In case the seats remain unfilled in one category, such seats shall be available for admission in other categories.
# # includes SC/ST, General category and 2 seats for Kashmiri Migrants; Additional 15% supernumerary seats are available for NRI/International category students. @ Admission to B.C.A. program shall be taken based on the percentage of marks in 10+2/equivalent examination and/or SAT score and/or IB(DP/Certificate) points and/ or NEET (UG) percentile only, as per subjects specified below. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: 1. Criteria of Number of subjects in 10+2 Exams. 10+2 or its equivalent examination must be passed with minimum 5 subjects. percentage marks/points in any three subjects including or excluding Mathematics in 10+2 or equivalent examination will be considered 2. Criteria of Subjects and Marks in 10+2 Exams. (a) The candidate must obtain minimum of 55% aggregate marks in 10+2 or equivalent examination in any discipline (aggregate % shall be calculated based on 3 subjects as listed in Appendix-A). (b) Candidates who are offered provisional admission based on declared scores in the application, will be required to produce proof of having passed the qualifying examination i.e. (10+2 or equivalent e.g. IB (DP/Certificate), IGCSE diploma/certificate or any other foreign board) to the University authorities, during document inspection at the time of registration (i.e. first week of October 2020), failing which, such provisional admission will stand withdrawn. It shall be responsibility of the candidates to bring out variations in the scores/marks recorded in the admission offer letter and actual marks obtained in qualifying/eligibility examination, before accepting the offer. Any deviations detected even at a later stage after registration, shall render the offer of admission/Scholarship or admission itself, as invalid. (c) If the results of 10+2 examinations are likely to be delayed beyond the date of registration (i.e first week of October 2020), such candidates are advised to seek admission next year. No representations for extension of dates for verification of documents shall be entertained. (d) Any wrong declaration of marks /scores in the application, which provide undue advantage, if detected even after registration, shall lead to disqualification of the candidate and withdrawal of admission or scholarship, as the case may be. 3. Eligibility conditions for IB(DP/Certificate)/Cambridge (IGCSE) qualified Candidates. (All candidates shall be required to obtain the 10+2 equivalence certificate from AIU on or before registration). Failure to do so may lead to cancellation of admission. (a) For IB (DP/Certificate) Examination (i) IB Diploma or IB Certificate, both are valid. (ii) Student should have secured a minimum of 24 points. (b) For Cambridge International Examinations (IGCSE) (i) Percentage Uniform Marks shall be allotted equal weightage as 10+2 from CBSE. (ii) Candidates should obtain 55% aggregate in three subjects. (iii) Candidates should have passed minimum 5 subjects at ‘O’ level including English, and minimum 2 subjects at ‘A’ level. This is a mandatory requirement to obtain equivalence certificate from AIU. 4. Conditions to be eligible for NRI/International Students Quota
(a) NRI/PIO/OCI (i) PIO (Person of Indian Origin). A person who or whose any of ancestors were Indian national and who is presently holding another country’s citizenship/ nationality i.e. he/she is holding foreign passport. (ii) OCI (Overseas Citizen of India). A person registered as “Overseas Citizen of India” (OCI) cardholder under section 7A of the Citizenship Act, 1955. (iii) NRI shall be a student, whose mother or father, first degree relation including the real brother and sister or grandparents both paternal and maternal are NRIs. (iv) This quota may also be availed by wards of NRI persons, who should be the nearest relation to include real brother and sister of father and mother i.e. real uncle and real aunt, first degree-paternal and maternal cousins. However, such persons, who have looked after such student as the guardian, need to produce an evidence to the effect, along with an affidavit signed by authorities in country where such person is residing. (v) NRI, in this context shall imply an Indian Citizen who stays abroad for employment/carrying on business or vocation outside India or stays abroad under circumstances indicating an intention for an uncertain duration of stay abroad. (vi) Students having done their 10+2 from foreign Boards and falling under categories (i) to (v) above shall be treated under NRI category admission. (b) International Student All students who are foreign country passport holders and who have passed their 10+2 exams from a foreign board shall be required to obtain the 10+2 equivalence certificate, including subject wise percentage of marks from AIU on or before 18 Oct 2020. 6. Routes to Admission: Candidates who fulfil the eligibility as above, shall be required to have one of the following routes for admissions, which are explained subsequently, in the document (a) JEE Main 2020 percentile scores (January 2020 and/ or September 2020) and/or. (b) 10+2 Examination/ IB(DP/Certificate)/Cambridge or equivalent exams scores and/or. (c) SAT scores. (d) NEET (UG) total percentile score. (e) Personal Interview 7. General Instructions on conditions of Eligibility (a) Candidates must produce certificate of proof of the above conditions at the time of registration for the respective program failing which, they will be disqualified, and provisional admission shall be cancelled. (b) Admission granted, and scholarship offered to a student may be revoked for noncompliance/not meeting the admission criteria/ being found ineligible, even if same is detected at a later date. All admissions will be subject to verification of facts from the original certificates/ documents of the candidates. The decision of the Admission Committee of the University regarding the eligibility of any applicant shall be final. APPLICATION PROCESS 8. How to obtain and Fill the Application Form: The students may fill the application forms on line using net banking/credit/debit card at https://applications.bennett.edu.in . There is no separate on-line application form for the NRI/International students. However, students shall be provided an option to be considered under NRI category and which shall then lead to accepting term and
condition applicable for NRI/International category students and downloading of a sponsorship letter, which must be filled and sent to the University, to enable application being considered. 9. Cost of Form: Rs 1000/- (can be paid online or through Demand Draft) 10. Where to send. The completed Application Form, (only when hard copy purchased), must be sent to the following address: Admission Section Bennett University Office, Plot No’s 8-11, Tech Zone II, Near Dabra Village. Greater Noida- 201310, Uttar Pradesh, India. 11. Important to note before submission of Application Form. (a) The candidates must go through and accept the undertaking terms and condition at start of on-line application form, and ensure to read the admission procedure document carefully, on the web site before applying for admission. (b) Application Status: Candidates applying shall receive a unique Application No and an email acknowledging the receipt, along with further guidelines. (c) Candidates may receive few reminder mails, if required, and thus must view the mails from the University and comply with guidelines. (d) Candidates are also advised to keep a downloaded copy of Application Form. All issues regarding application form, marks or data filled there in, must be resolved by the candidate, immediately on detection with admission section of the University, before declaration of admission list. No appeals thereafter are acceptable. (e) Scanned copies of 10th, /12th standard mark sheets, along with JEE /SAT/NEET score card (as applicable and if results have been announced) and recent passport size photograph must be uploaded on the online form, while filling the marks and before submission of application. PROCESS FOR ADMISSION: 12. Submission of Application/Registration of candidature. Registration of candidature implies filling online application, providing the marks/scores and uploading of mark sheets as required: (a) The candidate may fill the application form without waiting for the results of JEE (Main) 2020 (January 2020 or September 2020), 10+2 examination or equivalent exams, IGCSE board, IB(DP/Certificate) examination, SAT or NEET(UG) 2020 results. (b) IB students, who fulfil the required eligibility criteria, may also fill the form of the University, based on predicted scores (provided by counselor only, directly to University at email ID admissions@bennett.edu.in. The students should thereafter inform the University, on above mail ID giving reference of the program and application number). (c) It is essential for the candidate to provide the marks/scores of JEE-Main 2020 (January or September 2020) or /10+2/equivalent examination or IB(DP/Certificate) or SAT or NEET(UG)-2020 to the University immediately, after declaration of results. The marks may be (i) filled online or (ii) candidate may provide score cards to the admission office before the date mentioned in table below. Non- Compliance shall be at candidate’s risk and no claim can be made for consideration for admission. (d) Candidate must fill all mandatory details and submit the final application, before being considered for admission.
(e) Further, the candidate has to produce the mark sheet of all relevant examinations based on which provisional offer is made at the time of document verification during registration process. ADMISSION OFFERS/ALLOCATION OF SEATS Eligibility for Consideration – Candidates, shall be considered for admission process of respective prog9ram, only after they meet all the following criteria: (a) Those, who apply in the prescribed application form (offline or online). (b) Those, whose applications are found valid and complete. (c) The applications are received before the due date. (d) Those, who fulfil the eligibility criteria. (e) Those who provide the JEE percentile score, and/or /10+2 scores and/ or SAT and/or NEET percentile scores as applicable to the University, along with uploading of score sheets. The list of qualifying candidates amongst valid applications received shall be drawn based on anyone of following or best of the scores available at any given point of time to become eligible for of admission / scholarship or upgradation thereafter, if applicable. (a) Percentile scored in JEE Main Jan 2020, only up to 2 decimals, with no rounding off ; (b) Percentile scored in JEE Main September 2020, only up to 2 decimals, with no rounding off ; (c) 10+2 or equivalent examination (based on any 3 subjects including or excluding Mathematics); (d) IB (DP/Certificate) examination scores or Percentile Uniform marks in IGCSE; (e) SAT Score. (f) NEET (UG) total percentile score 13. Drawing the Selected Candidates Lists (JEE Based admissions) (a) Seats shall be allotted to the candidates, based on cut off scores decided by the University Admission Committee and approved by the Statutory Authority of the University for various programs, till the seats are exhausted. (b) It is therefore essential that students must apply and provide the score as soon as possible for consideration of admissions. (c) Admission Committee has the right to revise the cut off scores for various programs. (d) The best of scores in JEE amongst Jan 2020 and September 2020, shall be counted for offer of admission and/or scholarship as available in a program. (e) JEE percentile score in any other category like SC/ST/ state etc. shall not be considered. (f) The list for SC/ST candidates/wards of Kashmiri Migrant candidates shall be made based on percentile score and which shall be 5 percentile score below the lowest percentile cut off score, on which general category candidates are admitted. (g) The wards of Defense Personnel will get a 2-percentile relaxation in selection criteria than that followed for general category candidates. (h) Differently abled candidates (PWD) shall get a 2-percentile relaxation in selection criteria than that followed for general category candidates on a case to case basis. (i) More than one list may be announced, as required.
14. Drawing of selection Lists (10+2/equivalent Examination based admissions-Indian Boards/IGCSE/SAT) (a) The list shall be drawn based on the cut off scores in Class 10+2 aggregate percentage in 3 subjects (as explained in eligibility at para 3 and 5)/SAT score, as applicable. (b) The list for SC/ST candidates/wards of Kashmiri migrant candidates shall be made based on the marks which shall be 10 % marks below the lowest marks on which general category candidates are admitted. (c) The wards of Defense Personnel will get a 2% relaxation in admission criteria than that followed for general category candidates. (d) Differently abled candidates (PWD) shall get a 2% relaxation in admission criteria than that followed for general category candidates on a case to case basis. (e) Candidate cannot claim the seat, merely because it is available, in case he/she does not meet the minimum cut off marks decided by the University Admission Committee for this category of seats. (f) Seats, if not filled due to applicants not meeting the minimum cut off criteria, may be transferred to the JEE based admission category. 15. NEET based admissions. (a) Admission shall be based on the total percentile score by the candidate in NEET(UG) – 2020 and cut off percentile decided by the Admission Committee of the University. (b) The conditions of relaxations for SC/ST, wards of Defense personnel, wards of Kashmiri migrants and PWD candidates, shall remain same as defined in para 15 above 16. Admission for IB (DP/Certificate) candidates. (a) IB (DP/Certificate) candidates, who may take JEE Examinations/SAT, shall be selected as per procedure explained in 15 / 16 above for JEE candidates/SAT respectively. (b) Those candidates, who have not taken JEE examinations; the list of qualified students shall be drawn based on total IB(DP/Certificate) points, subject to minimum of 24 Points besides completing other diploma or certificate requirements, as explained in eligibility as para 3 and 5 above. 17. NRI/ International Category. (a) Candidates wishing to take admission under this category must meet the definition as given Para 6 above. (b) The candidates opting for this mode of admission are also required to provide sponsorship letter and equivalence certificate of marks from foreign board, from AIU. (c) The list of selected students shall be drawn based on percentage obtained in 10+2 equivalent score /JEE-Main 2020/SAT /NEET as per procedure explained above, subject to fulfilling other eligibility criteria as indicated in Para 3 above for Indian board students and Para 5 for IB(DP/Certificate)/IGCSE candidates. 18. Official Communication and Information about Seat Allotment and Fee Payment (a) The selected candidates shall be sent an email with admission offer letter. (Candidates are advised to check Please check their SPAM or JUNK folder regularly and white-list, admissions@bennett.edu.in. Please note that this is the only official mail ID of the University for all communications.
(b) It is responsibility of the candidate to monitor the mails, as per general schedule/ important dates announced, to know about their admission offers, fee payment schedule, guidelines and instructions etc. (c) Ignorance of schedule or not checking the details in time shall not be accepted as an excuse to attend or claim for admission at a later date. 19. The management reserves the right to revise the fee, hostel or other charges from time to time with prior notice. @ Student may opt for Hostel as below (Charges shown are inclusive of Boarding, lodging and Laundry. (i) Triple Occupancy. INR 1.50 Lakhs/US$2500. (ii) Double Occupancy. 1.75 Lakhs/US$3000. (iii) The Choice once exercised shall generally be treated as final. However, based on requests, it may be changed, if the seats are available in either type of hostel, after student registers for the program and clearance of dues, if applicable. Hostel accommodation shall be provided to all students, as per choice exercised. Given the rigor of the programs including classroom work, it is recommended that all students avail of the hostel facilities. However, University shall allow day scholars. It should be noted that students are not permitted to bring private vehicles inside the Campus. ## The Tuition fee shall be required to be transferred from the foreign or NRE account of NRI sponsor or Foreign national. The remittance instructions shall be issued along with admission offer letters. (Student admitted under this category cannot be converted to general category in subsequent years) Optional Transport charges for Day scholars per semester (payable at the beginning of the semester) is Rs 15000/- per semester for boarding from Noida (Botanical Garden) and Rs 10,000/- per semester for boarding from Greater Noida. The University shall not entertain any request for extension of the deadline for submission of fee. 23. SCHOLAR SHIP The Bennett University Admission Scholarships will be awarded only for the first year of Undergraduate program as per table below. Thereafter, the student will be eligible for Academic Scholarship, subject to meeting continuation criteria. The continuation conditions, conditions for award of Academic Scholarship and other terms and conditions are given on the web site of the University and shall be treated as final. Delay may result in students becoming in-eligible for the scholarship. Note: Ragging is banned in the University. Any student indulging in ragging shall be liable for disciplinary action; including expulsion from the University. The University complies with the policy of the Government regarding reservation of SC/ST candidates as applicable for private un- aided Universities. Consequently, it has been approved that the candidates may also be admitted through Personal Interview. following rules shall apply: (i) This Personal Interview will be offered to the candidates on a voluntary basis. (ii) Those who may not want to appear/are unable to appear for the Personal Interview, such candidates will still have the opportunity to be selected based on their other qualifying scores/examinations i.e. 10+2 or JEE Score or SAT or NEET as applicable and when available. (iii) Since University run a rolling selection process, the seats will be offered on a first come first serve basis, subject to meeting the selection criteria in the test/qualifying examination. (iv) If the seats are filled up through candidates who opt to appear for the Personal Interview, then the candidates waiting for the results of 10+2/SAT/JEE/NEET may lose the opportunity to get an offer of admission/scholarship due to exhaustion of seat as approved. (v) The admission scholarship shall be available to the students admitted to the program based on their performance in the qualifying examination i.e. 10+2 or SAT or JEE or NEET Score. The same shall be announced based on the scores once provided by the candidate after declaration of the results and uploading/filling up of the same in the application form. (vi) The number of seats under 10+2/SAT/JEE/NEET/Personal Interview, may be varied, interchanged, and added after approval from statutory authority of the University depending upon academic profile of the candidates. (vii) In case the seats remain unfilled in one category, such seats shall be available for admission in other categories. *Mathematics is required at 10+2 level. Those who do not have Mathematics in 10+2, they shall be *** required to do a bridge program that will be done during the first semester.

A person who or whose any of ancestors were Indian national and who is presently holding another country’s citizenship/ nationality i.e. he/she is holding foreign passport. (ii) OCI (Overseas Citizen of India). A person registered as “Overseas Citizen of India” (OCI) cardholder under section 7A of the Citizenship Act, 1955.
