2020 VIRTUAL ABVMA REGISTRATION DAY VETERINARIANS AND REGISTERED VETERINARY technologists (RVTs) from across the province came together on Sept. 29, 2020, for our very first virtual ABVMA Registration Day. This event typically occurs twice per year to welcome new members to the association and allow for networking with classmates and future colleagues. This year, both events were combined to a one- day virtual session. Registrants were warmly welcomed by the association’s dignitaries. They were then directed to small group discussions of case scenarios followed by the opportunity for the ABVMA to answer questions. The discussions enabled participants to explore the various rules and regulations of the Veterinary Profession Act and General Regulation, Bylaws, Practice Standards and the complaints process. A combined 316 veterinarians and RVTs became members of the veterinary profession in Alberta. Welcome to the profession!
