Page 3 Program Cancellation The Tuscany Residents Association (TRA) greatly values your business! For this reason, we have designed our cancellation policy to better suit the needs of our valued customers. No exceptions will be made to the policy outlined below, therefore, please review carefully. 1. TRA CANCELLATION DUE TO LOW ENROLLMENT The TRA may need to cancel programs with insufficient registration or due to instructor availability. Should this occur, participants may choose from the following options: A) Transfer to another program where space is still available. B) Receive an account credit on the household TRA account. C) Receive a cheque for the full amount of the program, which will be available for pick up within 3-6 weeks after the class cancellation. Should a class be cancelled, you will be notified by phone or email no later than two days prior to the commence- ment of the class and will be asked to select one of these three options at this time. 2. WITHDRAWAL/TRANSFER REQUESTS All program withdrawals/transfer requests must be made in writing to the Recreation Manager at recreation@tuscanyclub.ca For your convenience and flexibility, a refund will be issued should the withdrawal request be sent 14 or more days before the program start date in the form of account credit or cheque, less a $15 administration fee. • Requests to withdraw from a program less than 14 days prior to the first day of program will be charged a 25% program fee and a $15 administration fee will apply. • After two classes into the program, refunds will be issued for medical reasons only and a doctor’s note may be required. A pro-rated refund will be issued and the $15 administration fee will apply. • Refunds will not be issued to participants who are unable to attend rescheduled make-up classes for seasonal/ outdoor programs. • Failure to attend a class does not cancel the enrollment and refunds will not be issued. • Refunds of $25 or less will only be credited to the household TRA account. • NSF cheques are subject to an additional $50 fee. Coming for a visit? All residents aged 12+ must have their membership card to gain access to any of the TRA indoor or outdoor facilities or sign out gym equipment. Your membership is automatically renewed when your annual fees are paid. Don’t have a card? The Tuscany Club must see a copy of your certificate of title and ID showing proof of residency, in order to receive your permanent membership cards. Want online access? Visit www.tuscany-connect.com and click on “SIGN ME UP!”. You will receive email confirmation when your account is activated. You will need your 8-digit TRA# from your card. Full refunds or credits will be issued and participants contacted. • Failure to attend a camp does not cancel enrolment and refunds will not be issued. • Please review our full cancellation/withdrawal/refund policy on page 3. • Each camper should come prepared with appropriate clothing; including running shoes, jacket, hat, sunscreen, sunglasses (if needed), re-fillable water bottle, and snacks. • Full day camps will also need a lunch, a swimsuit and a towel each day
Page 5 Full Day Camps (Grades 1-6) *must be registered for grade 1 for Fall 2020* Week 1: June 29 to July 3 (no camp Wednesday, July 1st) The Amazing Race Canada #4677 Fee: $200 Before/After Care (7:30-9:00 & 4:00-5:30pm) #4676 Fee: $40 We will be celebrating and learning about our amazing country Canada this entire week! You can guarantee that all crafts, activities, and trips will have a Canadian theme that you just won’t want to miss. These four days will be jam packed with outdoor time, water games, and a visit to Heritage Park*. Week 2: July 6 to 10 Wild West #4678 Fee: $250 Before/After Care (7:30-9:00 & 4:00-5:30pm) #4679 Fee: $50 Saddle Up, it’s time for Stampede! Highlights of this week will include a trip to Stampede Grounds* (no rides) and some good old Western fun. Remember to join us on Saturday, July 11th from 9:30am-11:30am for our 23rd TRA Annual Stampede Breakfast! Week 3: July 13 to 17 Outrageous Olympics #4681 Fee: $250 Before/After Care (7:30-9:00 & 4:00-5:30pm) #4680 Fee: $50 Join us for our very own TRA Olympics! Make sure to bring your energy and sneakers this week as we will be trying many fan favorite sports and games, as well as creating our very own game to introduce to the Olympics! We will be heading to laser tag*, learning yoga, participating in Zumba and more! Week 4: July 20 to 24 Animal Planet #4682 Fee: $250 Before/After Care (7:30-9:00 & 4:00-5:30pm) #4683 Fee: $50 Bring your Safari hat because we are going on an epic adventure! For this week of camp, we head to the Calgary Zoo* to visit animals from all around the world. We may even have a few of our reptile friends drop by and say hello at the Tuscany club during the week! * Denotes potential fieldtrip which will be dependent on availability and scheduling. We will be using a variety of mediums to build forts, towers, bridges and anything else your imagina- tion can dream of! We head to Calaway Park* to explore, and of course test out, those magnificent structures Week 6: August 4 to 7 (no camp Monday, August 3rd) Holiday Fiesta #4686 Fee: $200 Before/After Care (7:30-9:00 & 4:00-5:30pm) #4687 Fee: $40 Merry Christmas and Happy Halloween!! Join us on this holiday adventure as we dedicate each day to celebrating a different holiday. We will be writing letters to Santa, searching for Easter eggs, visiting some of our monster friends at Monster Mini Golf* and more! Week 7: August 10 to 14 Wacky Science & Technology #4689 Fee: $250 Before/After Care (7:30-9:00 & 4:00-5:30pm) #4688 Fee: $50 Become your very own mad Scientist this week! We will play with natural science, chemical reactions, and have a real-life mad scientist drop by the Tuscany Club for a visit. Later in the week we will head to the Telus Spark* to spend the day learning and having fun. Week 8: August 17 to 21 Fun in the Sun #4691 Fee: $250 Before/After Care (7:30-9:00 & 4:00-5:30pm) #4690 Fee: $50 Come make a big splash with us while we explore the wet and wild side of Calgary! We will be spending plenty of time keeping cool at our very own splash park, and even enjoy a tropical day at Sikome Lake*! Warning: Camp will be a soak zone this week! Week 9: August 24 to 28 Storybook Adventures #4693 Fee: $250 Before/After Care (7:30-9:00 & 4:00-5:30pm) #4692 Fee: $50 Become a storybook master and make your favorite book come to life! Each day will be an enchanted adventure with crafts, games, field trips and so much more! What will your story unfold and where will your next chapter take you?
Page 7 Dance & Theatre Half Day Camps (3-10 years) Triple Fun (3 to 5 years) #4702 Fee: $145 July 13 to 17 9:00am to 12:00pm One of our most popular camps; students are introduced to the three aspects of be- coming a 'triple threat;' singing, acting and dancing. They will learn simple songs and use popular stories with a hint of imagination to create mini-musical plays. Musical Theatre Camp (6 to10 years) #4700 Fee: $145 July 13 to 17 1:00pm to 4:00pm Sing, act and dance like your favourite stars. Learn all the music, lines and dances to a mini version of a popular Broadway show or musical movie. Costumes and simple sets are incorporated and the young performers will put on a small performance for friends and family on the last day of camp. Please pack a snack. Dance Explosion (4 to 6 years) #4699 Fee: $145 July 27 to 31 9:00am to 12:00pm An explosion of dance styles! Participants will explore jazz, tap, ballet, creative movement, hip hop and more. A great fast paced introduction to the world of dance. So You Think You Can Dance (6 to 10 years) #4701 Fee: $145 July 27 to 31 1:00pm to 4:00pm This class has something for everyone! We will try out many of the styles of dance that you see on the popular television show and learn some awesome choreography. A great introduction or extension into the world of dance! No experience necessary. Campers will discover the fascinating world of chemical engineering as they put on the lab coats and make their own playdough, slime, and bubbles. The young astronauts will get ready for the big space adventure as they design, build, and launch their bottle rockets over 100 ft into the air. Find your inner engineer through innovation, collaboration, and play ! App Development Using JavaScript! (8 to15 years) #4673 Fee: $190 July 6 to 10 1:00pm to 4:00pm Ready to build and share crazy fun apps! App design has exploded over the past 5 years due to lower costs and easier access to essential tools, so give your engineer the knowledge to stay ahead in today’s technological society. Join this unique experience in which you get to code in JavaScript, test, and create your own apps in real-time using an easy-to-understand format. The best part about this week is that they’ll be able to save their created apps right to their (or your own) devices for play anywhere, anytime! Dino Bots: Code and Create Games (5 to 7 years) # 4672 Fee: $190 July 20 to 24 9:00am to 12:00pm Our young camper will play and learn with Lego WeDo and get a unique opportunity to revive the prehistoric world! We introduce children to the classification of dinosaurs, when they lived, why they disappeared, the periods of the prehistoric world and more. Give your children an unforgettable camp journey into the prehistoric world of dinosaurs! Together we will foster a love of science, exploration, and nature! Master Machines; Explore Mechanical & Electrical Engineering (8 to15 years) #4674 Fee: $190 July 20 to 24 1:00pm to 4:00pm Campers get your thinking hats on, you are introduced to the concepts of circuit design, building, and testing through various hands-on engineering activities. You will use the En- gineering Design Process to design, create, test, and improve a variety of machines and mechanical systems. The young engineers will design, build, and test electric magnets and flashlights. ] The fun continues as they explore the concept of force, trajectory, and friction through designing and building hydraulic arms, launchers, rubber band racers and more! Over the course of a week, students will invent new machines and explore creative design solutions using the Engineering Design Process. Design your own Drawing Robot, make your own Playdough, build your own operation game, and use your Tinker Box to invent something new. We encourage learning that fosters students’ creativity, courage, and curiosity through open-ended challenges in the fields of STEM, fine arts, and learning. The sky’s the limit when you bring your imagination to the table! The TRA is a not-for-profit organization which manages assets owned by the association for the benefit of Tuscany residents.
