RANGE
Fusion Energi is a Plug-In Hybrid, which means
you have the option to plug it in when you want
to charge up the electric battery and help
maximize the distance it can travel in electric-
only mode. The 2019 Fusion Energi has an
EPA-estimated all-electric driving range of
26 miles1 – that’s nearly 20 percent farther than
last year’s model – and an EPA-estimated
total driving range of 610 miles.1
If you choose to plug in your Fusion Energi, you
can do it at home, work, or even out shopping.
It’s simple and convenient. At home, you can
just insert the standard 120V convenience
charge cord into an electrical outlet and into
the vehicle’s charge port, which illuminates in
sections as it charges. You can also use a Ford
recommended AeroVironment™ 240V home
charging station2 to recharge in about 2.5 hours.
The MyFord ® Mobile app 3 and website
(myfordmobile.com) make it easy to
monitor and schedule charging. They also
offer a charging station locator powered
by PlugShare.® As you drive, Fusion Energi
functions very similarly to its Hybrid
sibling. So even if you choose not to
plug it in, you’ll still enjoy the benefits
of Hybrid driving.

Fusion is designed to deliver a smooth and
seamless driving experience – road after winding
road. To get moving, just turn the rotary gear
shift dial and go. EcoBoost® models feature an
“S” button on top that you can tap to engage
Sport mode. It sharpens throttle response,
allows for a more dynamic engine note inside
the cabin, more aggressively programs the
transmission shift points, and more.
For poise through the turns, Torque Vectoring
Control1 increases vehicle stability by applying
slight braking force to the inside wheel as needed,
delivering more torque to the outside wheel
to help Fusion stay firmly planted.

For smooth, responsive handling, continuously
controlled damping (CCD) adjusts – every 2
milliseconds – based on information provided
by 12 different sensors that read the road and
vehicle inputs. The system can even detect
potholes, adjusting shock absorbers so impact
severity is reduced.
