The Town of Vestal is turning
96 Kids played in the T-Ball League.
200 years old in 2023! 194 Different groups picnicked at Arnold Park.
171 Kids learned to play Tennis.
All are welcome to join in the yearlong 599 Kids learned/perfected new skills in
Bicentennial Celebration with special eleven different Sports Camps.
539 Kids played for six weeks at three free
events happening each month. Additional supervised playground sites.

Shelter Reservations at Arnold Park are Online Only - Reservations Begin Jan. 1st
• To get started: Go to Vestalny.myrec.com
• Login or Create an Account.
• Reserve
• Select a Facility for shelter selection, then Start Date. Do not enter an end date.
• Select day of week then NEXT.
• Enter Contact Information, Purpose (i.e. Family reunion) & Head Count.
• If you would like to add an Alcohol Permit, please enter request under Additional Info (For instructions
on how to obtain an alcohol permit, click on “Obtaining An Alcohol Permit” under Policies and
Information.) There is an additional $50.00 fee for the permit and you must obtain your own insurance
for the event. Once we have a copy of your insurance and it has been approved by the Town attorney,
you will be billed. Please allow two weeks to process the insurance approval.
• Answer question under Additional Questions and check box underneath Disclaimer.
• Submit. Your request has now been submitted to the Recreation Department for
approval. Once approved, you will have seven days to pay to secure your shelter or it will be
released back to the public automatically.
• Payment - can pay online with a credit card (there is a small transaction fee).
Payment must be received in 7 days for confirmation. Credit Card payment is immediate
confirmation. Once payment is received, your reservation is confirmed by e-mail. If paying
by check or cash, bring in your reservation email with payment to the Recreation Department.

Free Waterman Day Camp
Winter Woods: Tracking and Behaviors
Exciting New Camp Format - both sessions are the same, please choose one date
“Day Camp” at the Waterman Conservation Center is an exciting adventure filled program, open when
school is closed. Are you curious what wild animals are up to when the temperature drops? Join our
tracking expedition at the Waterman Center and learn how to identify animals by the signs they leave
behind. We’ll also explore the behaviors and tools different local species use to survive through the
winter. Be sure to bring warm clothes, boots, lunch, and a water bottle. Program mostly presented outside
unless extreme temperatures are expected.

household information. A non-refundable convenience fee will be applied to all credit card transactions and electronic
checks. Be sure to add all the members of your household into the account. Don’t forget to enter your cell number
so we can text you with any last minute program changes. Your new household account will provide you with
registration history, financial history and much more. For immediate program confirmation register online at
Vestalny.myrec.com.
Other options are still available:
• Mail In: Complete registration form below and mail with fee to Vestal Rec., 516 Front St., Vestal, NY 13850.
• Drop off: 516 Front St., Vestal, in mail slot on the door 24/7. Drop-off does not guarantee immediate enrollment,
you will receive a receipt via email or mail as confirmation. You can also pay in person during business hours by
cash, check, or money order. Use form below. We will notify you if a program is full.

Departments and then Recreation for all of our activities and registration form. This site will also link you to online
registration.
Registration Deadline: We accept registrations until an activity is full. If we do not get enough participants to run the
program, we will cancel and refund you. If registering for an activity that includes a t-shirt, you must register three weeks before
program starts to guarantee correct size.
Fees: All fees must be paid in full and are due at the time of registration. Partial payments are not accepted. All checks and
money orders are made out to: Town of Vestal. Refund requests must be emailed to Kelcy at kwickman@vestalny.gov and made
no less than one week prior to the start of the activity. Program fees will be refunded by the same way you paid, and may take up
to two weeks. Returned checks will be charged $20 service charge. You must bring in amount due plus the service charge in cash
only. Credit card and electronic check convenience fees are non-refundable.
Non-Resident fee: A fee of $10 is included in the non-resident fee. If you do not live in the Town of Vestal, you are
considered a Non-Resident. If your children go to Vestal Schools but you live in Apalachin, you are considered a non-resident of
the Town of Vestal. Town taxes and school taxes are completely separate.

2023 Summer Programs
The summer 2023 Recreation program brochure will be available in April. Brochures are available at
the Recreation Office, Town Hall, Vestal Library, Weis Markets, and digitally sent to all Vestal schools.
You can be placed on the mailing list by calling 607-754-3368 or emailing kwickman@vestalny.gov. All
information is also on the web page www.vestalny.gov (Go to “Department” and then “Recreation”).

Free Supervised Playground Program
Opens Monday, June 26 - August 4, Monday - Friday at a variety of Vestal Parks. The program runs
9:00 AM – Noon and 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM. Supervised activities include: sports, games, weekly special
events and arts & crafts. Make new friends and create new memories.
Tennis Lessons
There are three - two week sessions of tennis this summer. They run June 26 – July 7, July 10 – July
20 and July 24 – August 3. They run Monday – Thursday with a variety of times and age levels.
Summer Celebration
Wednesday, August 2 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Arnold Park. Music, games, inflatable rides, face
painting and lots of good family fun! Delicious food available for a cost or bring your own picnic dinner!
Summer Sports Camps
Girls Advanced Soccer, Co-Ed Basketball, Baseball, Cheerleading, Advanced Baseball, Field Hockey,
Boys Lacrosse, Girls Lacrosse, Softball, Soccer, and Volleyball.
Dates, times and locations TBA and subject to change.
Picnic Shelter Rentals
There are four covered picnic shelters at Arnold Park on Andrews Rd. The shelters are rented by the
day for a fee. Cost is $30.00 Monday – Thursday, and $75.00 Friday, Saturday or Sunday for Vestal
residents. Non residents pay an additional $20.00 any day. Alcohol is permitted for a $50.00 additional
fee and there are insurance certificate requirements. Create an account or log in to
Vestalny.myrec.com. All reservations MUST be done online. A new Shelter #4 is being constructed.
We will not start taking reservations for that shelter until completion of the project.
