End of Support Notification
▪ End Of Support Windows 7.x and Windows 8.x Operating Systems
42.1 update – January 2022: Cisco Webex will officially end of life support for Windows operating systems
earlier than Windows 10.
Users on Windows 7 and Windows 8/8.1 may continue to be able to start or join meetings. However, for the best experience,
we recommend upgrading to the latest version of Windows.
We will no longer provide bug fixes or updates for operating systems earlier than Windows 10. To have the best experience
possible, plan to upgrade your operating system before October 2021. See our system requirements help article:

▪ End of Support for Office 2010 File Sharing
Microsoft discontinued support for Microsoft Office 2010 on October 13, 2020.
Starting in 41.10 we can no longer provide support for file sharing in Webex for this version of Office. We
recommend upgrading to the latest version of Office or using screen sharing or application sharing.

Enable more inclusive, accessible, and engaging meetings across the globe
Host can select transcription / spoken language of the
meeting, from 13 language choices
English (existing), Chinese (Simplified and Traditional),
Dutch, French, German, Hindi, Italian, Japanese,
Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish
Users can easily communicate with others in their own
language to be more effective
This feature is a paid add-on to Webex Meetings that
will be included in the non-English language SKU along
with real-time translation. Webex Assistant is not
required.

Webex Meetings API support for Webex Events
Developers can now schedule events using the meetings API.
The API supports standard CRUD operations in line with the current meetings API
We'll be releasing more API features to support Webex Events (new), so stay tuned to learn
more in the coming months.

Notifications and Chat Font Size At Schedule
New option under "Help" menu: Accessibility Settings
Manage screen reader notifications announcements -
For users who use assistive screen reader applications (like JAWS), it may become
overwhelming if the screen reader is announcing every single notification in a meeting
(for example, if people are constantly coming in and out of the meeting, this may
distract from being able to hear the conversation in the meeting.)
Now, users can manage which notifications they would like to be announced by the
screenreader.
Adjust the font size in the Chat panel -
You can now increase the size of the font in the Chat panel, from directly in the
meeting. Particularly useful if you do not want to adjust your font or display settings at
the system level.

Unified Meeting Preferences 41.10
At Schedule
Making it easier to keep your in-meeting settings organized in a single Preferences window.
We've made it easier to keep your meeting settings and
preferences organized by unifying them into a single Preferences
interface. This also aligns to the preferences you can
find outside of the meeting in the Webex App.
There is no change to the settings themselves (same capabilities
you know and love), however, starting in this release you will
notice accessing any of the following will now open the unified
dialogue:
• Audio Options
• Video Options
• Preferences (Now called "Notification Preferences")
• Keyboard shortcuts
• Accessibility Settings

✓ An interpreter translates while the speaker is still speaking, with a
slight delay
✓ Interpreters are isolated from conference participants, so it is
possible to have the original speech interpreted in many different
languages at once
Why?
✓ World-class international Cisco customers that need it when they
hold multi-lingual live events. It has become even more important
in the time of Covid19, when more conferences are virtual.
✓ Makes Meetings more Diverse, Allows multi-lingual meeting
participants to have more efficient and inclusive meetings by
removing communication barriers

This is for Webex Meetings scheduled meetings (not for Personal Room) and
Webex Event New – Webinar mode*
Scheduling Flow:
• Hosts invite interpreters and assigns them to the appropriate language channel as
needed during the scheduling process.
In-Meeting:
• Hosts can create audio channels at the beginning of the meeting and elevating a
participant to be an interpreter
• Note: Webex Event: Adding an interpreter, after the event start, is currently not
available and will come in a later update. Select your interpreters during the scheduling
phase. In the roadmap
Multiple language channels can be created and when participants join, they can
select the appropriate audio channel.
• As soon as they join, they can hear their selected language.

• Multiple channels – no limit
• multiple interpreters per channel – no limit
• Multiple interpreters per meeting or event - no limit
• relay interpretation: for interpreters to switch between different
languages to better understand what’s being said
• bi-directional interpretation: you can switch between the languages
To enable this feature on your site, contact your CSM / Cisco
Account Team
• Then the admin will see this option coming into Control Hub and can
enable it for the whole site
Available in the Webex App, Webex Meeting desktop app, Webex
Events (new), Web App, and Mobile.

• Interpreter can’t be promoted as cohost or presenter
